Britney Green Lit By TV Cast; Shunned by Alicia

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

Sources connected to the TV show "How I Met Your Mother" tell TMZ the cast members were told Britney wouldn't be on the show unless they said it was ok. They met with her and they liked her -- they really, really liked her!

We're told the entire group of actors approved Brit. She was, as one of them put it, "laid back and collected."

We're told Brit will play the receptionist for Ted, Josh Radner's character. But that wasn't the original plan. Alicia Silverstone was supposed to go on the show and Britney was then asked to play her receptionist, but Alicia didn't want to be upstaged and refused to play ball. Unclear if Alicia has backed out altogether.

New Papers: Lawyer Battles Britney Spears' Conservatorship

The following italicized article is from www.theinsideronline.com:

"The Insider" has obtained new court documents filed by attorney JOHN EARDLEY on the behalf of BRITNEY SPEARS. In the papers, Eardley appeals "in its entirety" the co-conservatorship over Britney's financial affairs and estate wielded by her father JAMES and attorney ANDREW WALLET. He also seeks to overturn the extension of that conservatorship through July 2008.

In addition, he appeals the fees awarded to court-appointed counsel SAMUEL INGHAM ($58,000) and James ($2,500 per week), as well as protests an order from February which made it unnecessary for Britney to be given 5 days notice minimum that a conservatorship was being sought against her, contending that there are "no legitimate grounds" for this action.

Britney Spears' Family: 'Hopeful For The First Time In A Long Time'

The following italicized article is from www.accesshollywood.com:

Lynne Spears is in Los Angeles to visit with her grandchildren, a source close to the family tells Access Hollywood.

Lynne Spears will see Britney's boys with Kevin Federline - Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.

The grandmother is currently dividing her time 50/50 between Los Angeles, where Britney lives, and Kentwood, Louisiana, where daughter Jamie Lynn Spears, is holed up, preparing for the birth of her first child.

Lynne has been splitting her time between the two locales in order to support Britney, who is currently under a conservatorship and 16-year-old Jamie Lynn.

As for Britney, the family feels that lately, there has been an "upswing," in how things are going for the embattled pop star, the source told Access. The family acknowledges however, that they have a "long way to go," the source added.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Britney will appear in the primetime sitcom, "How I Met Your Mother."

She has also been teaching occasional dance classes to children at the Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles.

Britney and her father, Jamie Spears, who is co-conservator over his daughter, are getting along "OK," the source added, and the pop singer is said to be more "stable," of late.

The family is "hopeful for the first time in a long time," the source added over Britney's condition.

Brit's Faux Lawyer Files Appeal

The following italicized article is from www.pagesix.com:

Jon Eardley, the attorney who filed a request to have Britney Spears' custody and conservatorship cases moved to the federal courts, has appealed the February 1 decision that granted Jamie Spears control of the pop star's affairs.

In documents obtained by PageSix.com, Eardley claims that Brit wasn't given the proper five-day notice prior to the hearing.

Because it was determined that Britney isn't fit to retain her own counsel, Eardley has never officially represented the pop star. Eardley, who practices law out of his mother-in-law's home, shares spokesperson Michael Sands with Brit's former pal Sam Lutfi.

Cover Story:At Home With Britney

The following italicized article is from www.ok-magazine.com:

For the last six weeks, Britney Spears has essentially been grounded by her daddy, Jamie Spears, in a desperate measure to save her life. Of course, there are worse places to be holed up than her $7.2 million, 7,400-square-foot Mediterranean-style villa in Studio City.

As part of her dad's restrictions, the 26-year-old is no longer allowed to hit the night clubs in L.A., hang out with her paparazzi pals or make frequent, erratic stops at gas stations, fast-food joints and public bathrooms. A friend of the the singer tells OK! that Brit recently snuck a text message to them saying, "I'm so bored. I hate my life."

Now, a typical day with Britney includes spending hours alone in her bedroom, which a frequent visitor to the home tells OK! is "like a princess' room with several walk-in closets and a spa tub, plus a long counter where she used to keep all her wigs."

Jamie, who stays in a room downstairs, leaves his daughter alone when she's in her private suite. And since she's no longer allowed to go out, the pop star now spends hours in front of the mirror trying on different outfits.

"Changing clothes all day long must seem harmless enough, so her dad doesn't interfere with that," a friend of Britney explains to OK!. "She'll change three or four times on days when she's not leaving the house."

Some of those clothes include "fat clothes" that Britney likes to wear when she's feeling bloated or out of shape. Friends say the singer keeps a secret closet stocked with these loose-fitting garments for just these occasions.

One thing visitors to Britney's home are surprised to discover is that the seemingly scatterbrained star keeps a clean house. "Her life may seem out of control, but the inside of her house is very ordered," a friend of the singer tells OK!. "She's very clean and has no clutter."

An even bigger surprise inside the house — a shrine to ex boyfriend, Justin Timberlake!

Sources tell OK! that few people have seen Brit's collection of private mementos from her years with the pop superstar. "She's obsessed with him," the source reveals. "She has pictures of them together and has devoted a private area just to celebrate him."
