Grammy-winning producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins says he's working with Britney Spears on some "very dancey, really up-tempo, aggressive, catchy, and hook friendly" material for the singer's next album.
"I'm trying some new things [with Spears] … I've always worked with Britney and I love working with her," Jerkins told Rap-Up TV last week at Interscope Geffen A&M's Creme of the Crop dinner in Los Angeles. "I'm try to reinvent her and reinvent myself with her project."J
erkins, who will produce two tracks on the untitled record, last worked with the pop star seven years ago on her self-titled Britney album, producing the remix for the track "Overprotected" and "I Love Rock 'n' Roll."
Despite the pop stars's rocky year – including an ongoing custody battle with her ex-husband Kevin Federline and two hospitalizations – the producer stresses that one thing has remained the same about Spears: "She's always professional." He adds that while some artists take a long time to record a song, during a recent studio session, "[Britney] walked in at 8:30 and was out by 10:30."
As far as Spears's mind-set, Jerkins says she's, "working on the positive side." Producer Sean Garrett, who has not yet gone into the studio with Spears but is set to work on her new record, also recently told PEOPLE, "I know she's been doing a lot better … You just want to give her the opportunity to get things back together."
And it would seem that Spears is getting back on track. Over the weekend she engaged in some happy mommy time when sons Preston and Jayden had a sleep-over at her Studio City home.
Adds Jerkins: "It's about to be her time again."

Britney Spears House Hunting For ‘Quiet’ Neighborhood
The following italicized article is from www.accesshollywood.com:
Britney Spears is looking to move to a “more quiet” neighborhood, according to court documents released Monday.
Earlier this month, a Los Angeles court commissioner granted Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, the power to sell her Beverly Hills home. Now, new court documents obtained by Access Hollywood reveal the reason behind the singer’s search for a new place of residence.
Britney’s current neighborhood is regularly visited by the paparazzi who sometimes station themselves outside of the neighborhoods gates, waiting to snap shots of the pop star. She hopes relocating will solve her paparazzi dilemma.
According to documents, Britney hopes to move to an area with fewer residents and a “more quiet and less trafficked neighborhood.”
In addition to seeking a quieter neighborhood, the documents go on to say Britney hopes a new home will provide her two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston, with more access “to parks and recreation areas,” and “a larger backyard.”
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are scheduled to begin their custody trial August 25.

Brit's Taking Mommy Lessons From Jamie Lynn
The following italicized article is from www.okmagazine.com:
Sitting across a conference room table from her ex-hubby Kevin Federline on June 26, Britney Spears looked weary yet determined. After months of battling to regain at least partial custody of her children, she was more focused than ever on her goal.
The singer's renewed determination is thanks to her 17-year old sister, Jamie Lynn Spears who, following the birth of her own daugther, Maddie Briann Aldridge, has become a role model for motherhood to her big sis.
"As happy as she was for all the joy Jamie Lynn is experiencing it was heartwrenching for her to think about her own situation with Sean Preston and Jayden James," a source close to the singer tells OK!. "She knows she has to do whatever the court, her attorneys and her doctors tell her to get the boys back."
One thing is for sure — Britney is finally ready to participate and play the game. On June 24, the singer,26, went before commissioner Scott Gordon asking for a change in her custody. In a huge win, Gordon granted Brit one overnight a week with her boys.
Then, two days later as first reported by OK!, the unthinkable happened. Brit and K-Fed met face to face with their attorneys for an out-of-court conference in the hope of settling their custody dispute ahead of an August trial date.
"Britney and Kevin were very comfortable with each other," an insider tells OK! of their meeting. "Their conversations are extremely cordial and getting better."
But although their intentions were good, Brit and Kevin were unable to compromise on their custody arrangement. A source close to the case tells OK! that K-Fed's unwillingness to budge has mostly to do with Britney's conservatorship, which the court has ruled still necessary to her recovery. As long as her conservatorship remains in place, K-fed wants 100 percent full custody of their two sons.
"Legally, Britney is a child," the insider tells OK!. "How can Kevin possibly give up any custody of his children to someone who is a child herself?"

Britney Spears Seeks Quiet Home for Her Kids
The following italicized article is from www.usmagazine.com:
Britney Spears wants to move from her L.A. house to "a lower density, more quiet and less trafficked neighborhood," according to a court document filed by her co-conservators, father Jamie and attorney Andrew Wallet.
The singer would like a home "more accessible to parks and recreation areas" for her children, Sean Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden James, 1 1/2, the document says.
Saturday night was the first time Sean and Jayden spent an overnight visit with Spears, 26, since she was hospitalized at L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in January.
The sale of her L.A. home would be in "the best interest of [Spears], her Estate and her minor children," the document says.
Earlier this month, Spears was granted permission to sell the six-bedroom home. At the time, mom Lynne told the court that her daughter "intends to return to Louisiana," her home state.

Meanwhile, Spears and ex Kevin Federline are preparing for a custody trial, set to begin August 25. Federline currently has primary custody of their children.
