The Britster will perform a track from her Blackout album during the September 7 ceremony at Paramount Studios, according to Britain’s Daily Express. The rumored gig will be the first since Spears humiliated herself during a bikini-clad, choreographically mess at last year’s VMAs.
Britney has already appeared alongside host Russell Brand in a series of adorable promos for the event.
“She really wants to do this, despite the jitters. She is as nervous as hell but at the same time itching to get back in front of the same audience where she screwed up so badly last time,” a Spears insider revealed to the Daily Express earlier this week.
“It is the perfect platform for her to announce to her fans and the world that the dark days are behind her and she’s back on track with her life and her career.”
