Britney Tops RIAA's G&P List

The Recording Industry Association of America recently released a tally of the decade's highest Gold and Platinum award achievements. Guess who made the list? I'll give you one shot. Yep. BRITNEY SPEARS! Brit comes in as the female solo artist with the MOST album certifications (23 in total) during 2000-2009. “We’ve seen a decade of major music milestones and extraordinary artist achievements as part of our historic Gold and Platinum program,” says Mitch Bainwol, CEO of RIAA. “The names, songs and albums on our list are the decade’s best.” Sounds like a pretty nice award to add to B's collection of decade-end honors. Check out Britney's G&P album achievements below — note that B's first album, ...Baby One More Time (released Jan. 12, 1999), wasn't included in the tally.

...Baby One More Time: Gold, 14x Multi Platinum
Oops!...I Did It Again: Gold, 10x Multi Platinum
Britney: Gold, 4x Multi Platinum
In The Zone: Gold, 2x Multi Platinum
Greatest Hits: My Prerogative: Gold, Platinum
Circus: Gold, Platinum
