Britney And Kevin 'Getting Back Together'

Britney Spears has reportedly asked Kevin Federline to move back in with her.

The singer has decided that she wants to get back together with her ex-husband, according to Look magazine.

"Kevin has been staying over a lot but I don’t think it will be long until they are living together full-time again. They have slipped back into their old relationship really easily," a source told the publication.

'Kevin is excited about living with Britney again because he finds it tough being a single dad. She is thrilled because she can have her kids back and a relationship with someone she trusts."

Federline currently has full custody of the couple's two children, Sean Preston, three, and two-year-old Jayden James.

"Britney and Kevin have come to realise they still love each other. They have been seeing a counsellor and have drawn up a list of rules so they can improve their relationship," said the source.

Spears recently added a further six dates to the UK leg of her 'Circus' tour. She will hold a 'mini residency' at Londons 02 arena from June 3 until June 14.

Britney Spears: A Look Back At How The Pop Star Took Back 2008

If anyone is the comeback kid of 2008, it's Britney Spears. That's pretty amazing, considering the fact that in just the first week of the year, she was placed in a hospital for psychiatric observation and lost custody of her two young sons. But over the course of the past 12 months, she seems to have recuperated her losses. She got back to work, showed off her comedic chops on TV, hit the recording and dance studios, won some VMAs, made a tell-all documentary and had a #1 single and album.

Here's a look back at the moments — from awful lows to victorious highs — that made up the year in Britney:

Britney Hospitalized

On January 3, Britney refused to turn her sons over to Kevin Federline's bodyguards and reportedly locked herself in a bathroom with Jayden James. Police, fire trucks and helicopters arrived at the scene, and the pop singer was taken to Cedars-Sinai, where she was held for mental evaluation. Spears wasn't charged with any criminal wrongdoing and was released from the hospital two days later.

Britney Loses Custody of Her Kids

Following Britney's first hospitalization, Federline gained sole custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James, and Britney's visitation with her sons was temporarily suspended.

Britney Hospitalized ... Again

In January 2008, the best way to describe Britney was as a "beleaguered pop star." She was rushed to the UCLA Medical Center after being physically removed from her home by authorities, only weeks after her first hospitalization. Both her parents were by her side, as well as constant companion and "manager" Sam Lutfi. She was released a week later.

Britney Hooks Up With, Then Ditches Sam Lutfi And Adnan Ghalib

Aside from Justin Timberlake, Britney has always had questionable taste in men. From Jason Alexander to Federline, Spears has always opted to have unfamous clingers-on by her side. And in 2008, that included paparazzo Adnan Ghalib and Lutfi, who managed to take control of the pop star's life and push away those closest to her in a very short time. With the help of her parents (and their lawyers), who filed a restraining order against Lutfi while Brit was in the hospital, she ultimately got rid of these questionable influences.

Britney Goes To Court— And Sometimes Doesn't

In 2008, Britney had a lot of dates with her lawyers. She was in court to regain custody of her kids (eventually getting her visiting rights restored), she was in court for her driving violations, and she was in court when her dad, Jamie Spears, took over control of her affairs in February. This court order may have taken away her right to make her own decisions, but it gave her the stability and structure she seemed to need.

Britney Makes Them Laugh

In a March episode of the CBS comedy "How I Met Your Mother," Britney showed everyone that she's up for making you laugh, intentionally, playing Abby the love-struck dermatologist's receptionist. She did so well, in fact, that she was asked to return for another episode, and some wondered if perhaps comedy could be a new career option for the "Mickey Mouse Club" alum.

Britney Hangs With Russell Brand ... And An Elephant

"How I Met Your Mother" proved she could be funny, so even skeptics were interested when she teamed up with VMA host Russell Brand for a promo spot. Ignoring the literal elephant in the room, the "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" star flirted with Brit relentlessly. And when Brand suggested there was some sexual tension between them, Britney won back our hearts and confidence by quipping dryly, "I didn't feel any tension."

Britney Finally Scoops Up Some Moonmen

With nearly a decade of VMA nominations and performances under her belt, Britney finally earned herself not one, but three Moonmen in 2008, including Video of the Year for "Piece of Me." Erasing the image of her 2007 VMA appearance, Brit glammed it up and giggled her way to victory at MTV's big show, which included a funny little opening skit with "Superbad" star Jonah Hill.

Britney Tells All In "For The Record"

In her very personal MTV documentary, Brit talked in great length about her breakups with Federline and Timberlake, discussed being a mom and how important her two sons are and opened up about her very public breakdowns. It also showed everyone the steps Britney was taking to making her big, splashy comeback with her new album, Circus.

Britney's Back On Top With Circus

On the heels of the less-than-stellar success of Blackout, Britney headed to the Circus and released her sixth studio album on December 2, her 27th birthday. The album and its first single, "Womanizer," have become smash hits. With first-week album sales of over 500,000 copies, the once-disgraced pop princess has managed to finish 2008 with a triumphant bang. And judging by ticket sales for her tour, 2009 might not be too shabby either.

Britney Loves Japan for Its Tiny Cars

The singer recently took her three-ring Circus on the road to Japan, where she performed her now familiar routine on Hey! Hey! Hey!.

"I love Japan!" she said in a message posted on her Web site. "I think all the tiny cars are so cute!"

The singer, 27, also made time to play tourist, sampling local delicacies at an authentic Japanese restaurant with her dad Jamie and manager Larry Rudolph. (Spears posted a video of their culinary adventures.)

She also visited the country's oldest Buddhist temple, gushing, "It was so beautiful."

Madonna To Tour With Britney

Britney Spears wants Madonna to guest star on her forthcoming tour.

The singer is in talks with Madge to make a series of appearances, according to Spears' choreographer Wade Robson.

'There's been talk of Madonna making an appearance, and there's so many places we could take that,' he said.

'At this point, the main issue is timing,' he added. The North American leg of Spears' Circus tour is due to start in New Orleans in March and she has also added six more nights to her June residency at the O2 Arena in London.

Spears appeared on stage with Madonna at one show in Los Angeles last month and a video clip of the Toxic star was used at other gigs on Madge's Sticky And Sweet world tour.

The pair also famously shared a kiss at a televised music awards in 2003. More than 100,000 tickets have been sold for Spears' O2 shows – her first arena tour in five years.

A representative for Spears was unavailable for comment.

Meanwhile, divorcing couple Madonna and Guy Ritchie, 40, will spend Christmas Day together this year after calling a truce for the sake of their children.

The couple will be sharing a traditional family celebration on the Ashcombe House estate in Wiltshire.

Madonna, 50, who has been on tour in South America, will arrive in Britain on December 23 with their son Rocco, eight, adopted son David, three, and her daughter, 12-year-old Lourdes.

The (Hit Me) Baby One More Time singer, 27, is fed up with being told what to do by father JAMIE.

So she is eating only a small lunch daily in a bizarre bid to regain control of her life.

By skipping breakfast and dinner, she hopes to win back the attention she craves.

A source close to the star revealed: "Britney thinks that if she doesn't eat much she will lose weight, then people will notice.

Then she thinks she will get to make her own decisions once again."

Britney was hospitalised for three days in January during a bitter custody battle with ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE, 31, over sons SEAN PRESTON, three, and JAYDEN, two.

She has since been determined to regain her superstar status - and was a double winner at this year's MTV Europe awards. The source went on: "She reckons she is better now so fails to see why her dad is still meddling in her life.

"All he is doing is looking out for her but she doesn't see it like that. She thinks he is doing it to be irritating.

"So she has decided that she will protest by not eating."

Her comeback hit a hiccup on the X Factor two weeks ago when she was criticised for miming and dancing poorly.

Our source said of her new diet: "She is working hard to get her life back on track but doesn't realise that her current behaviour could halt all that.

"She has been told to eat but is refusing so is starting to look very skinny indeed. But then that is what she is hoping to achieve."

Forget sushi - Britney Spears smokes a cig and heads to a burger joint in Japan. Britney Spears overcame jetlag with a shopping spree in trendy Harajuku, Tokyo. The pop princess spent the morning sightseeing in the city with her assistant and security guard. The 27-year-old star visited Lotteria - a Japanese fast-food chain similar to McDonalds - before heading to clothing company Zara.
