Overwhelmed by paparazzi following her every move, Britney Spears was spotted paying a visit to Fragment Jewelry store in Soho on Tuesday (September 30).
After pulling up in her chauffeured SUV, the “Gimme More” singer ended up deciding against wading through the crowd of gathered spectators - getting back in the car and pulling away before stepping foot in the NYC shop.
For the past few days, Miss Spears has been calling the Big Apple home, as she continues to plug her brand new single, “Womanizer”.
In a recent interview during the promotional trip, Brit chatted about her massive MTV Video Music Awards comeback earlier this month thanks to her video for “Piece of Me.”
She told press, “It’s a cool video, but I think by far I’ve done videos that are way better, so I was really shocked that it got the award. It was just inspiring, though, because now, going forward with the videos that I’m doing now, I can really go there and do something crazy and see what happens.”

Britney's New Fragrance 'Hidden Fantasy'?
Here's exclusive information I received from Manizer:
"Hi Kevin,
I work as a make up artist for Elizabeth Arden and 2 weeks ago we had a little meeting about all the new releases that we are going to have as for make up and perfumes.
Britney is releasing a new perfume, it's a from the Fantasy family, called "Hidden Fantasy" and the bottle is the same as the previous two, only difference is the color red on it.
I don't know if she has shot the photos for the promotion, but the packing has fairies, unicorns, and cherries being that the cherries are the stronger notes in the new perfume.
We didn't get more of it because the it's not coming out til Nov-Dec."

Britney ‘Definitely’ Heading On Tour For ‘Circus’
The following italicized article is from www.accesshollywood.com:
Britney Spears is heading back out on tour.
In a promotional appearance on New York’s Z100 radio station earlier this week, the singer confirmed she will take her upcoming sixth artist album “Circus,” on the road.
“Definitely,” she said when asked about hitting the road. “Probably around the world.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Britney released the first single off the album, “Womanizer,” to radio last Friday.
“I like the fact that it’s so empowering for girls because it’s basically saying, ‘Ya know, we know what you’re up to,’” Britney told Z100 about the song. “It’s about guys cheating on other girls and stuff like that. And it’s kinda like a girl anthem, so that’s why I like it.”
Britney will reportedly start her tour in 2009.
In the past, Britney has helped give a leg up to several acts including Jada Pinkett Smith’s Wicked Wisdom and “Milkshake” singer Kelis, by having them open for her on tour.

Britney -- Sundae, Bloody Sundae
The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:
Stop the presses!!!!! Britney Spears ate junk food!!! And we got the scoop -- literally -- on what she put down.
Brit took her freshly re-toned physique to the famous NY dessert haven Serendipity 3 last night, where she couldn't resist a butter pecan sundae concoction. However, in an effort to conserve her daily caloric intake, she wisely washed it down with a Diet Coke. Thank God.

Britney Spears Enjoys The NYC Day/Nightlife
After surprising fans yesterday afternoon by showing up in person at the Z100 radio station in NYC to give a brief interview with DJ JJ to talk about various exciting things she’s got planned for the future (ie. world tour next year, bitches!!!), Britney spent a nice quiet night on the town refraining from doing anything more substantial than just enjoying a quiet dinner with friends. Wee! Here are a couple pics of Brit in the Z100 studio yesterday:
Z100 even uploaded video of Britney’s interview, which you can watch HERE. I must admit, I’m still pretty jazzed by all the info that Britney gave in her interview yesterday afternoon. The thought of a world tour just … kills me … I am really excited to see Brit Brit on stage again :)
After stopping by Z100, Britters made her way to the Upper East Side later on in the day to grab a bite to eat at Serendipity 3 … here are a couple pics:
I’m just really, really very happy to know that Britney is staying on task, staying out of trubs and seems solely focused on making sure her comeback is a huge success. Her last album, Blackout, is such an amazing disc, I can only wonder how successful it could’ve been had she given this much attention to promoting it last year. Of course, we all know that she was in no position to do so but … at least, this time, she has the chance to really do it right. Keep doin’ what you’re doin’, Britney. We’re all with you.

Britney Takes Manhattan!
The following italicized article is from www.ok-magazine.com:
Last time Britney Spears was in New York — almost exactly one year ago — she finished off a wild night in a strip club by putting on one of the dancers' thongs.
But since she flew in from LAX last night, her latest trip to the Big Apple has been a very different affair.
Instead of heading to the clubs to catch up with her scantily clad buddies, Brit checked straight into her swank downtown hotel to get ready for the busy day of high-level business meetings (and a little shopping!) ahead.
The newly fit and focussed singer started today by paying a flying visit to the Z100 radio station to talk about her new album Circus, before zipping uptown to the Sony headquarters wheres she was scheduled to meet with Barry Weiss, the president of her record label.
But after an hour-long sit down with the boss, Britney relaxed by spending an hour or so (and, it seems, a few hundred dollars) in super-luxe department store, Barneys.
"When she came out of the elevator, her assistant was already carrying an armful of clothes," said a fellow shopper in the shoe department. "I'd say she's definitely a fan of this place!"
Britney took a good long look at a pair of Christian Louboutin high heels ($575) and looked like she spent a long time weighing up whether she was going to buy a pair of knee-high black leather Fendi boots ($920), but decided against them in the end.
"She seemed pretty relaxed, twirling her hair around her fingers as she wandered around, checking out all the cute shoes. She looked like she was in her element!"
Brit finished up her spree in the cosmetics section, where she tried out a few different shades of lipstick before picking out just the right red, a Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited #190 ($23), plus their Nobara cream foundation #554 ($27).
Then she hopped back in her car and headed right back to her hotel -- without a single second-hand thong in sight.
What a difference a year makes!

Britney Spears Says She Plans To Tour In 2009
The following italicized article is from www.mtv.com:
Britney Spears stopped by New York radio station Z100 Monday morning (September 29) to talk about her new single, "Womanizer," which made its debut on the station Friday, and surprised listeners by saying she's planning to tour next year.
"['Womanizer' is] basically saying, 'We know what you're up to.' It's about guys cheating on girls," she said. "It's a girl anthem. That's why I like it. So hopefully the fans will see it that way too!"
She also said she's completed work on her forthcoming LP, Circus (which is slated for release on her 27th birthday, December 2), on which the single appears. "Well, actually ... I cut Circus like two weeks ago. I've been working on this album for, like, six months now."
Spears said was stunned when she won three Moonmen earlier this month at the VMAs, in part because she feels she's done better videos. "It's a cool video, but I think by far I've done videos that are way better, so I was really shocked that it got the award," she said.
"It was just inspiring, though," she continued, "because now, going forward with the videos that I'm doing now, I can really go there and do something crazy and see what happens."
Surprisingly, the singer also said that she plans to tour in 2009. "Oh, definitely next year," she said when asked about touring possibilities. "Probably around the world." Last year, Spears, under the name M+M's, did a small club tour that found her lip-synching and wearing a black wig during a brief set.
Last week, Spears was seen around Los Angeles filming the video for "Womanizer." In the clip, Britney sports a vampy look, clad in a short black wig and red lipstick, and playing a waitress. The clip was directed by Joseph Khan, who previously helmed her clips for "Stronger" and "Toxic." Sources told UsMagazine.com that the video features "erotic" choreography.

Britney Tries to Outmaneuver Prosecutors
The following italicized article is from www.eonline.com:
While Britney Spears tunes up for a new album and world tour, a lawyer for the reforming pop princess is telling the court she's not really up to handling a driver's license issue.
For what seems like the umpteenth time, attorney Michael Flanagan is seeking to derail a trial in the case of Spears and her MIA California driver's license.
He filed documents today in Los Angeles County Superior Court requesting a stay in the proceedings because she is remains under the control of a conservatorship.
"The Probate Court has found that [Spears] lacks the capacity to retain counsel," Flanagan writes, "as a result, [Spears] is currently unable to participate meaningfully in this matter." (View the documents.)
Flanagan goes on to claim that precedent shows proof of correction (i.e., Brit obtaining a California license) usually nips matters such as these in the bud.
The "Oops" songbird was rung up in August 2007 after a hit-and-split incident in which she dinged another vehicle while fleeing from paparazzi.
A follow-up investigation revealed that she was carrying a Louisiana license but not a California one, a no-no under state law. Authorities subsequently charged her with a misdemeanor count of driving without a vaild license.
As it stands, Flanagan is due back in court of Spears' behalf Oct. 8—what could be the final chance for him work out a settlement with prosecutors before the trial is scheduled kick off a week later.

Britney Spears: No Sex Tape

Looks like Britney fans will have to stick with Chaotic if they're itching to watch the star on grainy videotape.
British-based Heat magazine reported earlier Monday that photographer/Spears-ex Adnan Ghalib confirmed to them he has a sex tape of himself with the pop star.
However, a source close to Britney Spears is throwing cold water on the Heat story.
"The story is completely false," the source tells E! News.
Spears' rep at Jive Records has not responded to calls seeking comment.
Ghalib is also playing hard to get. His cell phone number is disconnected. His former photo agency, JFX, tells E! News that Ghalib "never worked for us" and has not been able to provide any contact information for him.

Britney Doesn't Want to Stand Trial for Ding, Dang
The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:
She may not have put the brakes on when she should have, but Britney now wants the judge in her lil' traffic accident case to slam those suckers down.
You'll recall Brit is set to stand trial for driving without a valid California license -- a case that has dragged on for a year. Remember, the crazy version of Britney struck a car in August of last year and the cops found she was driving with a Louisiana license in Los Angeles.
Now her lawyer wants the judge to stop the trial, at least for now, because of the conservatorship. According to the docs, she's still not totally with it. Brit is "unable to participate meaningfully in her defense."
It's kind of weird, because we're hearing the conservatorship could end as early as next month. So the new trial of the century may still be coming to a cable channel soon.

Britney Spears Files Appeals In Driving Case
The following italicized article is from www.usatoday.com:
Britney Spears' attorney has asked a judge to delay the singer's upcoming trial on a misdemeanor charge for driving without a valid license.
Attorney J. Michael Flanagan filed a petition in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday seeking a stay in the criminal case. Flanagan also wants an appellate judge to order the judge overseeing the case to grant Spears' motion to dismiss.
Flanagan has twice requested a dismissal of the case, saying that Spears should be allowed to pay a $10 fine and not face a criminal trial.
The 26-year-old singer is scheduled to go on trial in October on a single misdemeanor charge that she did not have a valid California license when she hit a parked car in August 2007 and left the scene.
Flanagan also argues in Monday's filings that Spears is unable to meaningfully participate in her defense because of her conservatorship. Since February, her father has controlled the singer's personal and financial affairs.
Also Monday, the pop star told a New York radio station that her clip Piece of Me leaves room for improvement — despite winning three MTV Video Music Awards earlier this month.
"It's a cool video, but I think by far I've done videos that are way better," the singer said in an interview with top 40 radio station Z100. "So I was really shocked that ... it got the award."
Spears called her triple victory "inspiring, though, because now going forward with the videos that I'm doing now, I can really go there and do something crazy and see what happens."
Spears, whose new album Circus drops Dec. 2, plans a possible world tour next year.
