Britney Spears played her first concert on Long Island in five years in what celeb-watchers are calling her comeback tour. Britney got through a few of rough and tumble years in which she had a few kids, got divorced, spent time in court, fought with the paparazzi, gave up control of her money, temporarily lost custody of her sons, shaved her head, got ferried to the hospital a few times, and performed a bizarre number in a daze at the MTV awards.
In the past year, she's gotten her life back on track, slimmed down, regained the trust of judges, retaken partial custody of her children, recorded a new album with a couple of hit songs and taken to the road.

E! News has learned that Spears, 27, has been secretly on dates with her longtime talent agent, Jason Trawick.
Trawick, 37, a William Morris Agency rep, recently joined Spears for the first four shows of her Circus tour, but we have learned that the two recently have grown much closer away from the workplace.
Trawick declined to comment and referred our request to Spears rep, who has given no official comment on any extracurricular relationship. Trawick's WMA assistant would only confirm that Trawick had been traveling with Spears on her Circus tour and is now back in L.A.
A Spears insider, meanwhile, insists that the singer and the agent strictly have a "close professional relationship" and that's it, calling it "ridiculous" to suggest the pair is anything close to "romantic."
But another well-placed source tells E! News that Trawick's talent agency bosses are OK with his tight bond with his client and, in fact, "They joke about it."
Trawick has been Spears' agent for about five years and also represents Hilary Duff, Taylor Swift and Paris Hilton.
Trawick was spotted with Spears and her sons on March 1 in Louisiana, riding around in a golf cart right before she began her tour. The four were wearing sweatshirts, and Trawick was holding Sean Preston while Britney drove, holding Jayden James.
In May 2008, Trawick jetted down to Costa Rica with Spears to Mel Gibson's retreat, sparking romance rumors that were never confirmed. The two were seen smiling and laughing as they boogie-boarded in the surf. Spears wore nothing more than a bikini and rode around on the back of an ATV with her arms firmly planted on Trawick's waist.
They were then photographed together May 23 at Christian Audigier's 50th birthday party at L.A.'s Petersen Automotive Museum.
Trawick has been credited with helping Spears reunite with her parents, manager Larry Rudolph, and landing her comeback role on How I Met Your Mother.
Perhaps most important, Britney's conservator approves.
Says a Spears family confidante: "Jason is one of the few people who Jamie Spears trusts."

Britney Spears: Another Pool Day with the Boys

The “Gimme More” singer is taking advantage of a short break in her “Circus” tour before jetting off to New York for tomorrow night’s show.
As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Miss Spears, 27, arrived in Miami on Monday morning, then heading off for lunch and a shopping spree at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Jimmy Choo.
Talking about seeing the pop tart roaming the Miami shopping circuit, a local store clerk told People magazine, “Britney looked so fresh and was so nice. She bought shoes, sunglasses and bags and thoroughly enjoyed the shopping experience.”
After finishing things up in the States, Britney is then scheduled to travel to Europe in June, where she still has a quite formidable fan base.

Britney Back in Miami for Retail Therapy – and Relaxation

After performing in Tampa and Miami over the weekend, Britney Spears retreated to the Mandarin Oriental hotel on Brickell Key Sunday and promptly hit the strip for some retail therapy.
"I couldn't believe I saw her at the mall," a staffer at the Bluemarine store at Merrick Park Mall in Coral Gables tells PEOPLE. "I ran over to her while she was at The Grape and gave her my card. I was so excited I was sweating. I asked her to shop with me the next time she is here. She was so sweet and southern."
After Spears, 27, had a salad for lunch Monday with a girlfriend-assistant and two bodyguards, the entourage walked around the tony Spanish Mediterranean-styled mall, stopping at various stores, including Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, D' Nature and Jimmy Choo.
"Britney looked so fresh and was so nice," a source at the high-end shoe store tells PEOPLE. "She bought shoes, sunglasses and bags and thoroughly enjoyed the shopping experience."
Another mall retailer confirms: "Britney looked really relaxed and happy."
Later that afternoon, Spears took her boys – Preston and Jayden – for a swim in Mandarin Oriental pool.
Wednesday night, the star resumes her Circus tour up north – performing at Nassau Coliseum in New York before doing two nights in Newark, N.J.

Dad's Control Over Britney To End

A source close to Britney Spears tells RadarOnline.com exclusively that the Circus Tour has been the best thing to happen to the once-troubled singer and she has made so much progress that her father's control over her affairs will end.
"Britney is in a terrific place right now," the source said. "She absolutely loves being back on tour."
Initially her father Jamie was worried about the demands of a tour. "He wasn't a big supporter of her going on the road, he didn't want her to take on too much, too soon," the source said. But "Britney was absolutely adamant that she be allowed to go on tour. She assured her family, and management that she was ready to do this, and that she really needed to do this."
And so far she has handled it extremely well, so well, in fact, that RadarOnline.com has learned her father will not accompany her for the entire tour. What's more, people close to the situation are now saying there will be an end to Jamie's conservatorship of Britney.
"This was the plan all along, to slowly get her back to the routine of her life, it (the conservatorship) won't last longer than it needs to," the source said. "Success will be achieved when this conservatorship ends, and Britney is ready to resume full control of her life."

Britney Spears and Family Return to Miami

The “Gimme More” singer and family were closely guarded as they exited their private plane - quickly being loaded up and whisked away in an awaiting van.
Meanwhile, Miss Spears, who will soon be making her way to New York for her next show this Wednesday (March 11), recently denied reports that her two sons - Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2 - were banned from watching her perform by ex-husband, Kevin Federline.
A statement on her Web site said, “Contrary to rumors linked to false articles, Britney Spears’ sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, will be joining her on the entire Circus tour and will be attending shows as planned. Britney’s family is a huge inspiration and she loves having them on the road with her.”

EXCLUSIVE: Britney Visits Miami Children's Hospital
Britney took a break from rehearsals to visit Miami Children's Hospital for a surprise visit with 40 sick children. Pediatric radiologist Ricardo Restrepo and Lee Schrager, Director of Media for Southern Wine and Spirits America, thought Britney would be a fab visitor to the hospital since her Circus-themed tour ties in with the hospital's Big Apple Circus Clown Care program, which features medically-trained clowns who visit the kids.

Britney Spears Makes Time For The Sick Kids Of Miami
As Britney Spears’s concert tour The Circus starring Britney Spears continues to roll across the country, it would seem that Britney has decided to carve out some time along the way to give back to some very needy people. Before her live performance at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL last night, she paid a visit to the Miami Children’s Hospital to brighten up the spirits of the sick children there by spending time with them. She also donated a hefty sum to a very fun program that services the hospital. Here is a pic of Britney and some of the sick kids she hung out with yesterday:After rolling into Miami, Britney Spears’s Circus Tour featured a sideshow for a worthy cause. The pop star paid a visit to 40 sick children at Miami Children’s Hospital on Saturday. “She took pictures with the kids and gave them autographed pictures,” hospital spokesperson Cristene Martinez tells PEOPLE. “The kids were so excited to meet Britney, and having her here was a great distraction for them.” She also made a donation to the hospital’s Big Apple Circus Clown Care program, which features clowns who have medical training who visit the young patients on a regular basis, as well as attend special events at the hospital. Spears, 27, who did not have her own children with her, stayed about a half hour, then left with her bodyguard to prepare for her show at the America Airlines Arena.
What a great idea! I think it’s very cool and very wise for Britney to make time for events like these. While I do not discount the genuineness of her actions, I suppose taking on charitable appearances like this go along way to erasing the image some may still have of the “crazy Britney” that we saw not so long ago. Image repair like this is very smart. But, again, just because she seems to be working on her public image, it shouldn’t detract from her good deeds. I’m sure the kids at the hospital were thrilled to have a visit from Britney Spears and I know the hospital could really use her monetary donation. My guess is that Britney will continue to do things like this as her tour carries on. Tonight, Britney performs in Tampa, FL.
