Britney Spears got her bump and grind on at a Bally health club yesterday - but not before tossing out a room full of aerobicizers.
We're told participants in the regularly scheduled exercise class were majorly PO'd that they got the boot. Gym staff tried to console the electrolyte-heavy crew with free t-shirts and water bottles - some of which literally were thrown back at them.
TMZ spoke with Bally's Chief Marketing Officer John Wildman who admitted that booting regulars for Spears was their fault -- someone at the gym double booked the room. He tells us "it will never happen again," and says members were offered access to other programs the gym offered.
WOOT! WOOT! The great Britney Spears news continues to come from her camp as People magazine reports that Britters has begun the initial stages of work on a follow-up album to her 2007 disc Blackout ... at least, according to producer and former flame JR Rotem:
Britney Spears is back in the recording studio with J.R. Rotem and Sean Garrett, the producers confirm to PEOPLE. "She's great," Rotem told PEOPLE at the BMI Pop Awards in Beverly Hills on Tuesday. "She's like a master at what she does. She's a lot more experienced than most people. She just has the 'it' factor that not every artist has. So it's always nice to work with her." Although Rotem, who briefly dated Spears in 2007, would not reveal any details of the project, a Spears family source tells PEOPLE that the pop star is in the early stages of a follow-up to her last album Blackout, which was released last October. "Britney is in the experimental stages of a new album," says the source. "She's trying to find the sound and direction she wants to go in, but nothing is set in stone just yet. She has been playing the piano a lot and just singing. She says she misses 'just singing.'" Producer Sean Garrett was mum on specifics but says that he and Spears, 26, have "a few things in the works." ... A rep for Spears's record label had no comment.
This is amazing news ... but to be completely honest, I was hoping that Britters might be a little further along on her new album than just "early stages". I hope that the producers are just play coy about how much work has been done since we've seen that Britney has been hanging out in recording studios for months now. I am holding out hope that Britney will release a new album this Fall and will get back on the schedule of a releasing a new album each year. If you consider how great Blackout turned out considering the mental state she was in last year, then this new album has the potential to be an absolute killer -- and then a tour?! Wee! I can't wait!!!

Only Larry Rudolph knows for sure!
We caught Britney Spears swinging by Bally yesterday afternoon for her daily workout regimen. Of course, Brit's visit wasn't all pleasure - as soon as we saw her manager Larry show up, we knew she was gettin' down to business, too!
But whatever the two talked about, it clearly didn't bother Britney - in fact, the pop princess left with one of the biggest smiles we've seen on her face in recent months! Might she have been strategizing for her comeback with Larry? Or could she still be in "vacation mode"?

Ah, nothing like a little R&R to help prepare an embattled pop star face the paparazzi crush that comes with going out in public.
Back from her minivacation at Mel Gibson's house in Costa Rica, Britney Spears quickly made up for lost opportunities to spend her $1,500 weekly allowance (and more) with a little shopping excursion.
For about an hour on Wednesday, the "Gimme More" singer shopped at the Lisa Kline store on L.A.'s trendy Robertson Boulevard, picking out items from both the women's boutique and the kids' store across the street.
"She was with her assistant and bodyguard," an eyewitness tells E! News. "She was really nice, as usual, and she looks great."
Britney spent $4,900 in total. But how did her shopping bucks break down? Keep reading for the answer!
While she dropped $4,000 in the women's store, she made sure to pick up goodies for sons Sean Preston and Jayden as well, spending another $900 at Lisa Kline Kids.
By the time Brit was ready to leave, a mob of more than 30 photographers had gathered outside, yelling her name.
"She walked out kind of expressionless," an observer tells E! News. "She is just used to all the photographers and their commotion."
Careful, Brit. If you start to mellow out and begin to take all the relentless attention for granted, it might very well go away.

Not only is Britney getting her life back on track, she's back in the studio kicking some ass too. Brit is teaming up with J.R. Rotem and Sean Garrett for her upcoming album and they says things are "really shaping up."
"She's great," Rotem told People magazine. "She's like a master at what she does. She's a lot more experienced than most people. She just has the 'it' factor that not every artist has. So it's always nice to work with her."
This just goes to prove you can't keep a good bitch down! Work it girl!

There are a lot of things you might call Britney Spears. "Master" is probably not one of them.
But music producer J.R. Rotem – former paramour of and current musical collaborator with BritBrit – says that's exactly what she is. "She's a lot more experienced than most people. She just has the 'it' factor that not every artist has," he gushes to People.
This is by way of saying that Spears is "in the experimental stages of a new album ... She's trying to find the sound and direction she wants to go in," according to a source.
Britney met up with Larry Rudolph at Bally Total Fitness Wednesday evening. She was even peppier than earlier in the day, BIG smiles, and waving to her fans and paps alike. After, they drove to her Summit home.

Britney Spears breaks out to the boutiques on Robertson Boulevard, Calif. and leaves Lisa Kline via the backdoor on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old actress’ dad, Jamie, has quit his job as a caterer and now oversees Brit-Brit’s business affairs on a full-time basis. As conservator of his daughter’s legal and financial affairs, he is being awarded a $2,500 weekly salary.

I'm really proud and happy to see her."
Check out Britney sneaking out the back door of Lisa Kline, a trendy boutique on Robertson Blvd this afternoon. Britney also stopped at baby store Petit Tresor for some "pretty In Pink" themed baby items for her younger pregnant sis Jamie Lynn according to celebtv.com. "The pop singer, who has two sons, bought her apparent niece-to-be silk pink crib sheets for $225, an organic Robbie Adrian blanket with silk trim for $116 and pink onesies and pajamas by Petit Bateau, says the source." Diggin the shades!

Britney Spears just got back from a Costa Rican getaway with Mel Gibson, but already she's putting in face time with another power player.
Last night, a sun-kissed Brit went to Il Sole on Sunset with George Maloof, the Palms Casino Hotel owner whom she had dinner with last week.
But it gets better. Brit-Brit didn't speak to the paps at all Tuesday night, even as they lobbed questions at her while snapping pics.
Instead, she gave her best modelesque pout as she pushed through the crowd and stayed mum. She's come a long way from the bizarre British accent and accepting rides from photogs, right?
Britney Spears didn't waste anytime getting back into the swing of the Hollywood nightlife upon her return from her quick Cosa Rican vacay last week. Here are pics of Brit Brit on the town with her billionaire BFF George Maloof after they dined together at Il Sole: Britney Spears wasted no time in getting back into the swing of things after she returned from her Costa Rican vacation on Monday evening. The pop star, 26, first got down to some important business: Spending time with her sons, Jayden, 1, and Preston, 2, who came to Spears's Studio City home for a visit early Tuesday. That evening, Spears joined pal George Maloof, who owns the Palms Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, for dessert at the West Hollywood Italian eatery Il Sole. Though the singer tried for a low-key entrance through the back of the restaurant, she was caught in the glare of paparazzi flashes.
Hanging with billionaires is much preferable to the days she'd spend in the company of those losers Adnan Ghalib and Sam Lutfi. Isn't it great that we don't ever have to think about those lowlifes anymore? I wonder what they're up to these days and who they're leeching off of now. Actually, I don't really care, to tell the truth. It is my sincere hope that I never have to utter the names of these two ever again.

Still, a smiling Spears, dressed a long strapless sundress, appeared to be in a good mood while sharing dessert, listening to her friend and chatting.

One minute she's getting crushed by the waves in Costa Rica, the next Britney Spears is getting crushed by a million paparazzi back in Hollywood.
Brit Brit, along with mega-rich Palms Hotel and Casino owner George Maloof, left Il Sole last night to the kind of madness she escaped to Central America to avoid in the first place. Don't worry -- she didn't drive home.

Looking good looking good! Minus the weave of course. Britney Spears showed off her fresh Costa Rica tan while leaving Il Sole restaurant in LA on Tuesday night.

Britney Spears' dad Jamie has quit being a cook and is getting $10K per month for looking after the Britwreck, according to new court papers.
And because he had to give up his former job as a private chef, he's entitled to $10,000 in back pay to cover the first month of his co-conservatorship of her estate. "He has been unable to continue to his prior employment and he has lost his source of income which he needs to pay his living expenses," say the docs.

The 25-year-old pop princess has been frolicking on the beaches of Costa Rica the last few days as Mel Gibson’s houseguest. Also soaking in the son in Costa Rica was her father, Jamie Spears, and her agent Jason Trawick (he is said to mastermind behind Brit’s two cameos on How I Met Your Mother).
Britney is glowing after her recent vaycay to Costa Rica! The pop princess is seen here leaving Il Sole after dinner tonight with George Maloof. It's rumored that Britney is planning a limited number of shows to perform at the Palms in Vegas. Is this meal business or pleasure? She looks great!

Britney Spears's father Jamie quit his catering job to dedicate himself full-time to overseeing the pop star's affairs, court papers show.
As a result, Jamie Spears was given $10,000 in back pay to cover the first month of his co-conservatorship of her estate, which started Feb. 1, according to the documents. He was awarded a $2,500 weekly salary beginning in March.
"The responsibilities he has assumed as conservator ... have required [his] full-time attention," says the request for "replacement compensation." "As a result, he has been unable to continue to his prior employment and he has lost his source of income which he needs to pay his living expenses."
Since Jamie Spears took over his daughter's personal and professional affairs, the singer has secured expanded visitation with her two sons, who live with Spears's ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Britney Spears's much-deserved vacay in Costa Rica has come to an end ... Miss Brit Brit returned to the SoCal area last night and is already back home again. Here are a couple of screencaps from a Hollywood.tv video of Brit's arrival back in town: From the looks of the photos that came out of Costa Rica this weekend, Britney really had herself a good ol' time with her family and friends. Not once did we see her with Mel Gibson (who hosted the Britney Bunch at his Cosat Rican compound) but I understand that he was available to "counsel" our dear Britney in between all the fun. I'm not a Mel Gibson fan -- by any means -- nor am I a fan of his beliefs but I can appreciate that he has reached out to help Britney get her life in order and can be commended on that front. As long as Britney continues to heal her life, I can be happy with how she goes about with that healing. I imagine Britney is anxious to spend time with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, which might account for her return to LA. Welcome back, Britney ... we've missed you :)

Britney Spears' five-day Costa Rican getaway with actor Mel Gibson has ended.
On Tuesday, hollywoodtv.com posted footage of the singer, 26, arriving at California's Burbank Glendale Pasadena Airport.
Spears was all smiles during her trip, which she also took with father (and co-conservator) Jamie.
Gibson — Spears' former Malibu neighbor who has helped people with sobriety issues — hosted the Spears clan at his $25.8 million, 402-acre ranch on the Pacific coast since last week.
During the vacation, Spears went body surfing. On Saturday, she was photographed zipping around the beach on an ATV, snapping shots of her dad relaxing in a lounge chair.
She's baaaaaaaack. As I reported earlier, Britney arrived back in Los Angeles after her trip to Costa Rica this evening around 7:30pm PST at the Bob Hope airport in Burbank. She's seen here exiting her private jet. They get that whole thing to themselves?! Shiiiit. The end of the video is Jason and Brett at some convenient store. Is it just me or is the assistant loving this... And why is the paparazzi singing to Jason. And why are these two being filmed anyway? So many questions, so little time. Glad you're home, Brit!

Britney Spears is back in the Pacific Time Zone.
The popster touched down Monday night at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank after a long weekend of fun in the sun at Mel Gibson's beachside digs in northern Costa Rica.
Sources close to Spears tell E! News the rested mother of two had to be back in Los Angeles early this week to prep for a meeting with Kevin Federline to work on an even more evolved custody arrangement. Both sides' attorneys will be present and the heat is on—L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon has said he will set a trial date in August or September if they can't move forward on their own.
Meanwhile, it's unclear whether Jamie Spears was on his daughter's private flight back to the States, but we do know her William Morris agent—and designated ATV driver—Jason Trawick was along for the ride.
