Britney Seals Her Comeback With X-Factor Performance

After a No.4 hit with her latest track Womanizer and two MTV Europe Music Awards last week, Britney Spears is continuing her comeback with a live performance on The X Factor.

The pop star, 26, will cement her return to the music industry with a performance of her single on the hit ITV talent show.

Britney will also meet the six remaining contests on the November 29th broadcast.

Britney's appearance comes after Mariah Carey and Will Young appeared on recent Saturday's, mentoring the contestants.

The superstar's X Factor performance will be her first on UK television for five years.

After a difficult few years, during which she went through a divorce and was hospitalised twice for psychiatric evaluation, Britney is now looking better than she has in years.

Since dealing with her problems with the help of her father Jamie and mother Lynne, Britney has been focusing her energies of getting her career back on track.

She picked up three awards at the MTV Video Music Awards in September for her single Piece Of Me, and continued her success at the MTV Europe Music Awards last week with two trophies - even though she was unable to attend the Liverpool ceremony.

Earlier this month, Britney wowed fans when she joined Madonna on stage during the Material Girl's Los Angeles gig.

Her sixth studio album Circus is set for release on her 27th birthday on December 2nd.

She took a step back from her career when she first met her then-husband Kevin Federline in 2004.

The dancer accompanied her to London on the European leg of her Onyx Hotel Room Tour.

But after injuring her knee filming the video for her song Outrageous, Britney cancelled the rest of her tour and returned to the U.S., where she started planning her marriage to Kevin.

After marrying the aspiring rapper in September 2004, Britney took several years out of her career to raise her two children Sean Preston, three; and Jayden James, two.

Britney Spears Shows Her Backside

On Halloween day we got our first look at the new cover artwork for Britney Spears’s new album Circus and today we get to see what the album’s backside will look like. UK store Tesco has uploaded the backside of the album artwork on their online site, which I now am passing along to all y’all. Here is the back of the Circus album artwork for both the standard and deluxe versions of the album:

You can see that both albums will have the same tracklisting except that the deluxe version will have the UK bonus tracks Rock Me In and Phonography … as well as a bonus DVD of “the making of the Circus album including an exclusive interview with Britney”. Additionally, the backcover artwork features A SCARY ASS MINI-CLOWN offering our dear Britney a birthday cake (the album will be released on her birthday, December 2) as she reclines on a bed, presumably in a circus wagon. I mean … I’m not a big fan of clowns in general but this little guy is kinda extra freaky. BUT, of the Circus promo pics that we’ve seen thus far … this one is the most circus-y. I think I like this photo (scary clown, notwithstanding) … what do y’all think?

- Her new album, "Circus," will be released on her birthday, Dec. 2.

- Britney herself will soon announce a new world Circus tour, with tickets going on sale in early December.

- The pop princess has confided that she’s hiring three new male backup dancers to add to her current crew specifically for the tour.

Wednesday morning, Britney herself posted photos and details of the upcoming projects on her Web site, britneyspears.com. She even says the talent she found among the 70 dancers trying out for her and manager Larry Rudolph was “amazing.”

By the way, that’s guru Larry in the white T-shirt and baseball cap sitting right alongside her! He’s a Vegas regular and always stays at George Maloof’s Palms, where he is a partner in the Sunset Tan salon in the new Palms Place condo tower.

Britney Spears Prepares For A Photoshoot

BritneySpears.com has been updated, right on schedule, with a new set of behind-the-scene photos of Britney Spears getting all glammed up for an as-yet-unseen photoshoot … giving us a sneak peek at what’s to come when the shoot eventually gets published:

According to her official site, the photos show Britney with a “celebrity photographer in Hollywood” but the photographer is not named. Because the photos do not have a “circus theme” about them, my guess is that the photoshoot is for a magazine.

The pics are very simple but very pretty. They are reminiscent of the scene in the Lucky music video where Britney is getting all made-up for her big close-up. These photos have that 1950’s Hollywood starlet glamor about them. Yeah … it just brings a tear to my eye to see our dear Britney lookin’ so well again.

Britney Puts Sons Before Madonna

BRITNEY SPEARS has cancelled a planned concert performance with MADONNA in Miami so that she can spend the run-up to the Thanksgiving holiday with her kids.

Brit was supposed to make a guest appearance on the final show of the Material Girl’s American tour on November 26.

However, despite rave reviews for their appearance together in Los Angeles, the singer has decided to put her family before her career.

Britney has been granted custody of sons JAYDEN JAMES, two, and SEAN PRESTON, three, for the period leading up to the US holiday – which falls on November 27.

Her current custody arrangement with ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE means she has two visitations and one overnight visit with her sons per week.

A pal said: “Britney had always agreed to perform in Miami but her circumstances have changed over the past couple of months.

“She and Kevin are getting along fine now, Britney will have Jayden and Sean just before the holiday and Kevin will spend Thanksgiving day with them.”

Britney will then head to France to appear on Star Academy – their version of The X Factor.
Yesterday her mum LYNNE posted a message on her official website saying: “Looks like Britney will be spending her Thanksgiving holiday in Europe.”

We’re feeling a bit giddy and overwhelmed this afternoon because we’ve just come back from Britney HQ, where we’ve had an exclusive sneak preview of her new album, Circus (out 1 December).

We can officially confirm that Britney’s back on form, which should mean we’re talking more about Brit’s music than her personal dramas from now on. So, what's the album like then?

Well, highlights include title track The Circus (set to be the next single) which has an insanely catchy chorus and loads of cool electro-y bleeps and beeps; it’s vintage Britney, which means it’s totally amazing.

While Kill The Lights and the tongue-in-cheek If U Seek Amy (which is not, we’ve been assured, about the Winehouse) are both fab dance tracks that have a typical Britney attitude and edge to them.

But it’s not all up-tempo dance floor-fillers, Out From Under is a gorgeous ballad with poignant lyrics (which we reckon might be about K-Fed); best of all Britney’s vocals sound natural, making it one of her best ballads ever.

Flashing a smile as glorious as the one she displayed 16 hours earlier onstage in L.A., Britney Spears stepped off her chartered jet at Mississippi’s tiny McComb-Pike County Airport on Nov. 7. She balanced son Preston, 3, on one hip while a nanny helped his brother, Jayden, 2. Britney’s dad, Jamie Spears, and her brother, Bryan, were by her side; mom Lynne welcomed her on the tarmac.

It was the beginning of a perfect family reunion, until it all came crashing down. At a Nov. 9 barbecue lunch at Serenity, Britney’s estate in Kentwood, La., Jayden began having problems breathing, became non-responsive and developed hives. Britney immediately called 9-1-1.

“She was told it would take 30 minutes for the ambulance to get to her, so she was advised to drive to the hospital,” a source tells OK!. With a bodyguard at the wheel, they raced to Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.

“The doctors weren’t able to immediately identify the problem, but later determined Jayden had suffered an allergic reaction to something he’d eaten,” says a source. The “something” was shellfish, a member of Kevin Federline’s family tells OK!.

“Jayden’s had a sensitivity to shellfish in the past, although he’s never been formally tested for it. He has been now,” the source continues, adding, “Britney was extremely upset.”

Thankfully, Jayden was released from the hospital and able to return home to his family on the evening of Nov. 10.

Before the medical crisis, the family, including Britney’s sister, Jamie Lynn, 17, her fiancé, Casey Aldridge, 19, and their 5-month-old daughter, Maddie, were catching up with the star. With the Dec. 2 release of her album Circus, Britney is set for a huge comeback.
