Courtney Love Jumps To Britney Spears’ Defense

Courtney Love has jumped to the defense of troubled pop star Britney Spears by insisting she can get better with treatment.

Love said: “I was in rehab, about 3 and a half years ago, and it worked. I know the exactitudes of what is going on having been there and she can get better.”

Love, 43, did however warn Spears that if she didn’t seek treatment it could all end disastrously.

She said: “Here’s what’s going to happen.

If she doesn’t get help something bad is going to happen.”The rock singer, who had a tempestuous marriage to Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain believes that Britney has a disease that is genetic, likening herself to the Toxic star.

“I made that template by being pretty hardcore. It has been proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is genetic, and it’s a disease, it’s a part of our brain that doesn’t worry about consequences.”

Love also revealed how she also warned another troubled young star, Lindsay Lohan about the dangers of drugs.

Love said: “I saw Lohan one time in her room, and there was a show on her TV called ‘101 Celebrity Oops’, and I’m like in every clip, you know, boobs out, throwing up, everything. I said to Lindsay, ‘Look, drugs are bad.”
