Britney Spears Calls Her Life Worse Than a Jail Sentence

The following italicized article is from www.people.com:

Britney Spears says that since her breakdown, her life has been worse than a jail sentence – but that she's slowly healing one day at a time.

"I have really good days, and then I have bad days," the singer, 26, admits in a new fly-on-the wall, 90-minute documentary, Britney: For The Record, to air in the U.S. Nov. 30 on MTV and in the U.K. Dec. 1 on Sky1.

Struggling to gain control of her life again after her public meltdown earlier this year, she says candidly: "Even when you go to jail, y'know, there's the time when you're gonna get out. But in this situation, it's never ending. It's just like [the Bill Murray movie] Groundhog Day."

She adds, "I'm having to pay for it for a really long time."

Spears was hospitalized for mental evaluation in January, which resulted in her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, being granted sole custody of their sons, Preston and Jayden. Her father, Jamie Spears, also gained legal control over her affairs.

Not Being Heard

"If I wasn't under the restraints that I'm under right now, I'd feel so liberated," she says in the film, which follows the singer as she records and promotes her new album Circus. "When I tell them the way I feel, it's like they hear me, but they're really not listening."

A camera crew followed the singer for three months as she moved to pull her life back on track. "I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn't being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in," Spears said. "This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I've been through and where I'm headed."

Overall, she says, "I think I've learned my lesson now, and enough is enough."

New 'Circus' Promo!

Britney Spears' "Circus" is "Blackout" Taken a Step Further

The following italicized article is from www.associatedcontent.com:

Britney Spears is cleaning her act up and reinstating her name in the music industry. After last year's tumultuous happenings, Blackout was supposed to be her comeback album, but failed to do so. She's teamed up with several of the writers from that album such as Avant and Nicole Morier.

Britney had her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with her hot single "Womanizer" that seems to be settling well with all people alike, the media, fans and critics. The song represents a man who uses a woman and she can't take it anymore. Ironically, "Womanizer" uses a line "You think I'm crazy/ I got your crazy," maybe hinting at her hectic past in the spotlight and being thrown under the bus for being "crazy."

The title track "Circus" was produced by hot producer and writer, Dr. Luke. Luke is a former SNL band member who is responsible for Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone" and cowrote "Behind These Hazel Eyes" with Clarkson. He's also responsible for Pink's "U + Ur Hand" and both of Katy Perry's first two singles. The song isn't his typical heavy pop rock signature sound as she sings about the dance floor being her stage. She's right in the center being watched like she's in a circus. Britney's ready to party. This will be Britney's second single, coincidentally released around the time Clarkson's new single will be released, also written by Dr. Luke.

Another popular producer and writer Guy Sigsworth joined the project as well. He's known for producing with Bjork and more recently collaborated with Alanis Morissette on her album Flavors of Entanglement for the entire project. His sounds are usually pretty futuristic with his warping of bassline instruments. "Out From Under" is a ballad that shows Britney's vulnerable side. "Even when I cross the line/ It's like a lie I've told a thousand times... I don't want to dream about/ All my things that never were/ Baby I could live without when I'm out from under/ I don't want to feel the pain/ What good would it do me now/ I'll get it all figured out when I'm out from under" she sings painfully. "Out from Under" is definitely a stand out track and unlike her previous ballads, is slightly haunting.

Sigsworth shows up one more time on the album on "My Baby." It's admirable to sing a song about your children, however the song is weak in production and her vocal capability doesn't stand out, attempting singing in a falsetto voice. Lyrically the song is also pretty generic using common rhymes schemes.

"Kill the Lights" turns the disco up with a rhythmic pattern and she's ready for her close-up. She's requesting that the lights be taken down and to get close without fear. Though this is slated to be Britney's big comeback finally, the quality of the songs are there but the performances tend to get weak and repetitive through the record. "Kill the Lights" doesn't stand out against any other song.

Produced by Bloodshy and Avant, "Unusual You" is a trance feeling jam that actually compliments her soft spoken vocals. She's expecting someone to break her heart, but he hasn't yet and she thinks that's unusual.

A song from her last record, "Radar," has made the final cut as a bonus track with a slightly different production. The song was one of her most popular non-single songs produced by Bloodyshy and Avant as well.

"If U Seek Amy," produced by mega hit writer Max Martin, is like a "Womanizer" part II with different lyrics. Held up by dance production, she sings about loving or hating her, saying what they want about her, using a different name almost like Beyonce is using Sasha Fierce as an alter ego.

Fans of Spears will not be disappointed in any way with the new record. Spears merely took Blackout to a new height and a better team and look to help craft the record. Fortunately for her there has been much hype made about the record that it will make a huge impact at first, but is likely to slip down the charts after a few weeks as most albums by big names do now. One thing fans can be confident of though is that Britney Spears is finally getting her life together again.

Circus is in stores December 2nd which is also the pop star's birthday.

Britney: My New Life Is Worse Then Jail

The following italicized article is from www.thesun.co.uk:

WEEPING Britney Spears has admitted her new image is a SHAM — and claims she would feel freer if she was in prison.

The troubled pop princess moans that her new controlled lifestyle after hitting rock bottom last year feels “like Groundhog Day”.

Britney, 26, stunned delighted fans by bouncing back from her breakdown. But in a new fly-on-the-wall documentary she tearfully admits: “There’s no excitement, there’s no passion.

“I have really good days, and then I have bad days. Even when you go to jail you know there’s the time when you’re gonna get out.

“But in this situation, it’s never ending. It’s just like Groundhog Day every day.”

Britney, who performs on X Factor next weekend, believes she is still “paying” for her public meltdown when she shaved her head and lost custody of her two sons.

She says: “I think it’s too in control. If I wasn’t under the restraints I’m under, I’d feel so liberated. When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear but they’re really not listening.

“If you do something wrong in your work, you can move on, but I’m having to pay for a long time.

“I never wanted to become one of those prisoner people. I always wanted to feel free.”

Former Mickey Mouse Club child star Britney admits her “weird” life is all she’s known, but didn’t realise how famous she was until her breakdown.

She adds: “I think I’ve learnt my lesson now and enough is enough.”

Source: Britney to Light Rock Center Tree

The following italicized article is from www.ok-magazine.com:

Talk about a turnaround — Britney Spears started 2008 barricaded inside her L.A. home with her son while the police and ambulances waited outside. And now, less than 11 months later, she's got a hit single, an album ready to drop in two weeks, a 2009 tour in the works, and OK! has just confirmed that she'll be taking part in one the biggest annual Yuletide traditions — the lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree!

Sources close to the pop superstar confirm to OK! that on Dec. 3, the day after she turns 27 and her new album, Circus, hits record stores, Britney will be in the Big Apple for the 76th annual tree-lighting extravaganza. What's still unclear is whether or not she'll be performing at the ceremony, or just hanging out with host Al Roker for the NBC broadcast of the event.

If Britney does perform, this could be her first live performance of her own songs since the 2007 Video Music Awards, where a dazed Brit slouched through a half-hearted production of her single, "Gimme More."

The recently reformed singer did step out onto stage on Nov. 6, when she made a cameo appearance at Madonna's concert at L.A.'s Dodgers Stadium. The mother of two and the Material Girl sang a duet of Madge's hit, "Human Nature."

To check out the tree-lighting ceremony for yourself, tune into NBC on Dec. 3 at 8 p.m. ET.

Madonna Tells Britney Spears to 'Forget About Marriage'

The following italicized article is from www.showbizspy.com:

Madonna has told Britney Spears not to marry again.

Spears - who divorced husband Kevin Federline in 2006 - reportedly sought advice from the Material Girl singer after performing with her recently, and on the subject of men, Madonna - who recently annouced she would be divorcing husband Guy Ritchie - left no question about what she thought best for both of them.

A source says, "Britney asked Madonna if she will ever marry again after her split from Guy.

"Madonna not only said she wouldn't but told Britney to forget about marriage. She said it just doesn't work for girls like them.

"Madonna clearly sees a lot of herself in Britney because she seems very eager to help her."

"Quicksand" Added As Bonus Track On European iTunes

The U.S. seriously got jipped. Like, the kind of jipped where your ass works a 12 hour shift waiting tables, when your last party of the night full of stupid middle schoolers dines and dashes. You can't decide whether you want to just say fuck it or chase them down and punch them in their braces.

European iTunes gets another bonus track! The song is titled "Quicksand," produced by Fernando Garibay ("Amnesia") and Lady Gaga. Xtina's gonna flip a shit.

"It came about quickly and in an unconventional way," Gaga reveals about writing "Quicksand" for Britney. "It's an amazing song but there's nothing like having a superstar singing your lyrics. Then it just so happened that she heard another song that I did with a different producer that she also gravitated towards and I don't even know if she knew that I wrote it. I was supposed to go in and produce her vocals but I couldn't do it because I was on tour, but I heard that she is dancing her pants off in the studio and so excited."

Kudos to this track for not leaking today!
