Ke$ha meets fellow pop phenom Britney Spears for the first time outside the Just Jared lounge at 102.7 KIIS FM’s Wango Tango 2011 at Staples Center on Saturday (May 14) in Los Angeles.
“Britney is a pop icon,” K$ told Just Jared after the encounter. “She is larger than life. But it’s great to see that even Brit is just a cool laid back southern girl.”
Ke$ha wrote “Till The World Ends” for Britney but they hadn’t met and hung out - until Wango Tango!
Other pictures include Ke$ha with her kickass mom, songwriter Pebe Sebert. (They worked on a number of K$ songs together including “Your Love Is My Drug,” “Cannibal,” “Crazy Beautiful Life,” and “We R Who We R.”)
FYI: Selena Gomez was also in the hallway when Britney emerged from her dressing room backstage. “Oh my god, Britney Spears just waved at me,” she said as she clutched her heart. Selena’s friends were trying to convince her to go back and say hello but Sel was too starstruck!

Britney Spears 'Ends' Up Atop Dance/Club Play Songs
Britney Spears ascends to her seventh No. 1 on Billboard's Dance/Club Songs chart, as "Till the World Ends" rises 2-1.
The song is the second No. 1 on the chart from Spears' album "Femme Fatale," following "Hold It Against Me," which topped the March 19 tally.
Spears notched her first Dance/Club Play Songs No. 1 with Madonna, the artist with the most toppers (40) in the chart's 35-year history. Here are Spears' seven leaders on the list:
2003, "Me Against the Music" (featuring Madonna)
2004, "Toxic"
2007, "Gimme More"
2008, "Piece of Me"
2008, "Break the Ice"
2011, "Hold It Against Me"
2011, "Till the World Ends"
"Till the World Ends" peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 two weeks ago following the release of its Nicki Minaj- and Ke$ha (the song's co-writer)-assisted remix. The song has sold 1.3 million downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The track logged an all-format radio audience of 87 million in the May 4-10 tracking period, according to Nielsen BDS, marking Spears's highest-ever weekly total.

Hotney Godney Reveals Tour-Ready Abs
For most people, the idea of working out for more than six hours a day might sound like nothing short of torture.
But Britney Spears can't get enough. For the last six weeks, she's been training for 90 minutes a day, followed by another five hours of dance rehearsals in preparation for her North American tour, kicking off June 16 in Sacramento.
"I'm pumped up!" Spears tells PEOPLE inside her cozy dressing room on the Sony lot in Culver City, Calif. "We've been working hard. And the costumes are coming next week. This is the exciting part, when all the pieces – the masterpiece – come together."
During Spears's month and a half of prep time, trainer Derek DeGrazio has cooked, packaged and labeled meals (like baked fish and broccoli) and snacks (such as celery with almond butter) for the 29-year-old pop star, six days a week.
She does get a break from all the discipline, though. Sunday, says Spears, is her "cheat day."
But it's certainly not derailing her efforts. Spears's workouts and her 1,500-calorie-a-day nutrition plan have whipped her into top tour shape.
"You can see the tone in her muscles – her arms, legs and abs," says DeGrazio. "She looks amazing."
