The Last Straw In Brit's Invalid License Case

The judge in Britney Spears' other court case -- the one for driving without a valid license back in August -- continued the case today for the last time. Superior Court Judge T.K Herman said if the legal matter is not resolved by February 20, it will go to trial.

TMZ has learned both sides are still working out a deal. We're told prosecutors wanted to put Brit on 12 months probation, but agreed to let go of probation if she agreed to pay the maximum fine of $3,000. Brit's lawyer, Michael Flanagan, won't accept those terms and wants the misdemeanor charge lowered to a fix-it ticket.

Britney's Private Dance Practice?

Like most of you, we were a little surprised to hear that the Queen B had to use 24 Hour Fitness as a makeshift dance studio last night. (After all, if she can get Kitson opened at the crack of midnight, wouldn't you think she could do the same for Millenium?)

As it turns out, however, the pop princess' privacy wasn't in any danger of being invaded - the gym set Britney up with a private room.

Thank goodness - after all, if she's rehearsing for another music video (her wished-for reshoot for "Piece Of Me", perhaps? We did spot a camcorder in Britney's bag...) we'd hate for anyone to get a sneak peek at Brit's moves before us!

Bored? Why Not Dance For 2 Hours

What, you thought Britney Spears' day ended with her reunion with Karla? Well, guess again!

Around 1:30 last night, Britney hit the road again - for two hours of dance practice! Sam, her true friend, was with her while she was getting her groove on at 24 hour fitness. Looks like Brit's got something cooking for her fans!

Afterwards, Britney headed back to the Rite Aid to restock.

While she was waiting for Karla to emerge with her supplies, Brit decided to chitchat with the shutterbugs - and took the opportunity to break out her British accent!

The Queen B seemed in good spirits, laughing and joking with her subjects. In fact, the only topic on which she kept quiet was that of her (former?) flame Adnan's absence from her side!

"Who's that?" Britney smirkingly responded to our repeated requests about Adnan. That's the spirit!

Unfortunately, Britney's night didn't end so well - as she helped Karla load up the car, she injured her arm. Brit tried to put on a brave face, but couldn't stop complaining about how much it hurt on her way back to the Summit around 5 AM.

WATCH: Britney Spears’ Bizarre Message To Heath Ledger

When asked by photographers Thursday how she felt about actor Heath Ledger’s death, Britney Spears replied in her British accent, “He’s still here. Oh, yes. No one ever really dies. No one.”

The singer, 26 — who chatted with photographers from the driver’s seat of her car while her assistant, Karla, was shopping at an L.A. Rite Aid — also admitted she’s not well.

Spears also engaged photographers in conversation.

After her assistant came out Rite Aid with bag, Spears popped her trunk and accidentally bumped her elbow.

“That hurt really bad,” she yelped. “I wanna cry!”

Britney Doesn't Care That Adnan Is Married

Though Adnan Ghalib’s wife, AzLynn Berry, filed for legal separation on January 18, it makes no difference to Britney Spears whether her man is hitched or not.

“Britney does not care that Adnan is married,” a Spears family insider tells PageSix.com. “She has no clue who his wife is or how much pain the woman has gone through over all of the media hype.”

The singer’s family is said to be worried about Britey’s “really, really weird relationship” with the paparazzo. Even Kevin Federline, who famously left pregnant girlfriend Shar Jackson for Britney in 2004, thinks that the singer has gone too far.

“Kevin asked her about it — why she is having an affair with a married man. Her response was vague, and she actually acted like she did not know he was married,” says the source.

Adnan confirmed to Entertainment Tonight earlier this week that the couple had recently bought a pregnancy test together. "She has a very maternal instinct,” he told ET. “She was feeling a lot of things she said she felt when she was pregnant. I think she was hoping she was pregnant with my child.

"Indeed, those close to Britney say that baby talk has always been part of the singer’s dating m.o. “Some of Britney's first words to Kevin were how much she wanted babies and kids,” says the insider. “So it does not surprise us that she would say the same to Adnan.”

The source added: “Maybe she told Adnan that she would have his baby because she fears losing another person in her life?”

Britney has pulled away from most of her friends and family since her January 3 meltdown that landed her in a hospital psych ward, but is still in communication with 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn, who she hopes to visit soon.

“Britney has only spoken to Jamie Lynn since the hospital incident. And that is because she is trying to keep a relationship with her,” says the family insider.

So what’s next for the troubled pop princess? Though Britney apparently wants to make a new album, her family is hoping that works through her mental and emotional issues first.

“Right now, Britney's ‘career’ is getting well,” says the source.

K-Fed Lawyer: Britney's Deposition 'Slow Going'

Britney Spears's deposition is "slow going," and could drag on for multiple sessions, concedes Kevin Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan.

Asked if the deposition could last five or more sessions, Kaplan replied, "It wouldn't surprise me." The attorney, who happened to run into a PEOPLE reporter Wednesday, added, "There are many areas that I have not yet explored."

Spears, 26, has been cross examined for a total of one hour over two sessions. (She has been late to both.)

As of the second session Monday, Kaplan said he'd only completed "two percent" of his questioning, which Spears must answer while under oath. Spears's first session lasted a mere 14 minutes, and occurred just hours before her infamous Jan. 3 meltdown.

The lawyer, who could not reveal specifics, is likely grilling the pop star about past drug and alcohol use, her failure to follow court orders, and anything else that pertains to her parenting. (The questioning lays the groundwork for the Spears-Federline custody trial scheduled for April.)

On Thursday, Kaplan also began deposing Spears confidante Sam Lutfi, who had evaded the sit-down for months.

Kevin Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, is reportedly hell-bent on trying to prove that Britney may have been complicit in the alleged deals Lutfi was trying to make with photo agencies, the insider tells OK!.

Sources tell OK! that according to K-fed and Britney's divorce agreement, neither one of them is allowed to set up photo shoots of the boys without the other's permission.

So, even if Britney did not receive money for pictures of her boys, she was still not allowed be part of any photo shoots involving her sons without Kevin's permission, lest she risk violating the divorce agreement.
