New Details From Britney Tell All!

The following italicized article is from www.x17online.com:

We already told you about the upcoming Britney Spears expose by Ian Halperin, and now we have more details from the New York Times bestselling author. Halperin has penned similar books about Celine Dion and Kurt Cobain, as well as those revealing the dark and dirty secrets of Hollywood, supermodels and other high-profile individuals.

Halperin went undercover as a photographer for 18 months when he wrote and researched Stalking Britney: Britney Under Siege, and he tells In Touch Weekly, “She’s on a high right now, but her life goes in circles. It’s like a roller coaster ride. She’s a person who is highly sensitive, and just one little thing could set her off.”

Halperin writes about how Britney attempted suicide four times after her split from ex-hubby Kevin Federline, and addresses her self-doubt and insecurities, which popped up in her early teen years. He tells the mag, “At 15, she had a huge breakdown and had to return home to Louisiana. She was very insecure and felt like she wasn’t pretty.” The solution? “She went on a huge diet.”

Though Britney has made remarkable progress over the past few months, and she's been photographed looking happier and healthier, Halperin believes she’s far from recovered. “There’s no doubt, based on the last two years, that she is a highly unstable person. She’s on a temporary high right now, but she’s never really dealt with all the problems she had. I don’t think it’s possible to turn over a new leaf just like that.”

Despite his somewhat pessimistic outlook, Halperin does say that Britney is a “good mother, and a good person...In fact, she’s nicer than most of the stars I’ve met. But as Britney once told me herself, her life has always been two steps forward, followed by one step back.”

Troubled star Britney Spears 'Attempted Suicide On Two Occasions'

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

Troubled pop star Britney Spears tried to kill herself on two separate occasions, according to a new unauthorised biography.

Investigative journalist Ian Halperin makes the claim in his yet-to-be-released book, which he researched over 18 months as an undercover photographer.

In an interview with American magazine Life & Style, Halperin, who has written biographies on Kurt Cobain and Celine Dion among others, says: 'I spoke with her many times and went to her house.'

I will say the suicide attempts are true. I know all the details about both of them.'

An Britney family insider confirmed to the publication that the singer regularly hinted at suicide, and revealed her suicidal tendencies began after the birth of her second son Jayden James in September 2006.

The source says: 'It really became an issue once Jayden was born and it became clear Britney's marriage to Kevin was crumbling.''

That's when she began to say things like "I wish I was dead" or "It'd be better if I could go to sleep and never wake up" on a regular basis.'

'It really seemed like the suicide option was a comfort to her, an escape route in case life became too much to handle.'

Britney's well-documented erratic behaviour has calmed in recent months under the watch of her father and conservator Jamie, but the author believes she's still at risk.

He says: 'I think she's in danger of a catastrophic relapse. Britney herself warned me that with her, it's always two steps forward, one step back.'

Adds the insider: 'She's on major medications. And she's being micro-managed and controlled to the extreme by her parents, the courts and a huge team of doctors and handlers.'

'She's like a zombie now. She's a shell of her old self.'

More Schocking Details About Britney Book

The following italicized article is from www.pr-inside.com:

More shocking details about a new BRITNEY SPEARS expose have come out as biographer IAN HALPERIN continues to talk to the media about his investigation of the pop star.

Halperin spent 18 months as an undercover paparazzi getting close to Spears and her inner circle of managers and friends, and now plans to release a book full of his findings.

After telling U.S. magazine of the singer’s two apparent suicide attempts, which he’ll write about in the book, Halperin claims the Toxic singer’s problems were fuelled by drugs and the company she keeps.

The award-winning journalist says, "I saw a lot. I partied with her and was able to really monitor what type of stuff she was using. It’s very concerning."

(But) the book is mainly about her handlers, how sleazy and destructive they are toward her.

The people around her are like vultures." Halperin insists his book won’t be a hatchet job on a troubled star - he witnessed enough to make him realise that Spears is basically a good person:

"She’s actually a very caring mom." But he worries she’s in danger of suffering a "catastrophic relapse" of her bipolar issues.

He tells Life & Style, "Britney herself warned me that with her, it’s always two steps forward, one step back."

X17 XCLUSIVE: Tell-All Author Calls Britney An "Innocent Victim"!

The following italicized article is from www.x17online.com:

X17 can XCLUSIVELY reveal that, during a recent interview with Life & Style, Ian Halperin - author of a forthcoming expose about Britney Spears - characterized the pop princess as "an innocent victim" doing her best to be a good mother to Sean and Jayden. "I've seen her with her sons several times in the past year and a half," Halperin told the mag. "She's actually a very caring mom."

In fact, Halperin even goes so far as to call Britney a better parent than a certain recent Father of the Year winner! "[E]veryone close to the scene thinks she's a much more fit parent than Kevin [Federline]," Halperin ventured, pointing out that Federline "goes out more often" and "parties harder".

What do you think, Britney fans - does Halperin's sympathy for Britney make you more or less likely to buy the book?
