Britney Spears Moves House

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

She currently resides in a $8.9m hilltop property in the exclusive Calabasas area of Los Angeles, but it seems Britney Spears is eager for an upgrade.

The 29-year-old singer is said to have purchased a new house in the extremely private Hidden Hills community just a couple of miles south of her current location.

The stunning new property sits on over three acres and boasts a massive 20,000 square feet of indoor space.

The mock Tudor mansion house has ten bedrooms and 13 bathrooms all with high ceilings and dark hardwood floors.

'Between the chandeliers, the huge ballroom and the double stairway entrance there is something completely enchanting about this home,' Hollywood real estate expert Chad Rogers told In Touch magazine.

One of the bedrooms is painted bright pink, which might need a fresh coat to better accommodate her boys' tastes.

The singer has two sons from her marriage to Kevin Federline, five-year-old Sean Preston and four-year-old Jayden James.

The house is very child oriented and even has a games room complete with air hockey table, pin ball machines and arcade games.

Outside there are expansive private gardens set on three acres complete with a tennis court, swimming pool and multiple hot tubs, with caves and waterfalls plus huge areas of lawn and mature trees.

The pop princess' new home is in the same community where superstars like Jennifer Lopez, the Osbournes and the Kardashians have all owned homes.

The village-like area is completely gated and private with its own Starbucks, supermarket and restaurants which will keep Britney and her family away from prying eyes.

Britney Spears Back in Shape for Lingerie Campaign... with Barely an Airbrush In Sight

The following italicized article is fromwww.dailymail.co.uk:

The last time Britney Spears modelled for American clothing firm Candie's, observers noticed picture editors had been a bit too heavy-handed with the airbrush.

But after completing a gruelling 97-date world tour last November, Britney's body is looking more honed than ever, leaving little need for digital enhancement.

Returning as the face of Candie's for the second time, the mother-of-two looks stunning as she flaunts her curves in a floral lingerie two-piece.

Britney Spears Treats Her Sons to a Boat Trip as the Circus Goes to Stockholm

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

They are not yet old enough to go to school, but already Britney Spears' sons have passports full of stamps.

Yesterday, Jayden James, two, and Sean Preston, three, explored Sweden with their pop star mother, after already visiting much of North America, Ireland, England, France, Belgium and Denmark.

They have climbed the Eiffel Tower, rode their bikes in Hyde Park and shopped for toys at Hamleys.

This morning they enjoyed lunch at the popular Grand Hotel Veranda before the trip around the Stockholm archipelago.

Britney is playing two dates in the Swedish capital, before she and her sons continue their tour.

They will be visiting Finland, Russia and Germany before returning to the States to finish the U.S. dates, then heading onto Australia, where the tour will end.

The boys will accompany their mother throughout, after she agreed a variation of her 50:50 custody agreement with their father Kevin

Under the agreement Federline, Britney's ex-husband, is also on the tour and cares for the children when Britney is performing.

Last night Britney showed off her toned figure as she took to the stage for her energetic routine.

Britney Out and About in Manchester

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

Her current stay in Britain must be doing Britney Spears the world of good given her radiant appearance today.

The singer looked radiant and happy as she stepped out of her London hotel in a pair of pink hotpants ahead of her concert in Manchester tonight.

Despite her glowing complexion, it appeared the 27-year-old was dressing for all weathers given her clashing outfit of skimpy hotpants and a cosy polo neck.

Beaming to photographers as she left her hotel to travel to Manchester, it appears Britney's few days relaxation in the capital with her sons had given her a boost given her happy demeanour.

On the way up north, Britney stopped at a McDonald's in Neasden, north west London before continuing up the M1.

Following her performance at the MEN Arena, Britney will be driven the 200 miles back to London tonight.

After completing the London leg of her Circus tour at the O2 Arena on Sunday, Britney spent a few days with her sons enjoying the sights.

The singer played doting mother as she enjoyed a trip to London Zoo on Tuesday with Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two.

In between seeing the animals, Britney accompanied little Jayden on a carousel ride.

The adorable little boy tenderly rested his hand on his mother's knee for comfort as they rode around in a mini red bus on the warm summer's day.

Wearing a low-cut aquamarine vest and black jeans, the singer looked in her element.

Since arriving in London two weeks ago with her Circus Tour, Britney has been filling time away from the stage doting on her two boys.

Their trip to the zoo comes a day after Britney treated her sons to a shopping spree at Hamleys.

The Thomas The Tank Engine fans explored the seven floors of toys as 27-year-old Britney helped them pick out some treats.

While in London, she is staying at the opulent Mandarin Oriental Hotel, which backs on to Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park.

Her sons are staying elsewhere, while her ex-husband Kevin Federline is also in London.

He agreed to come along on the tour so that the children were not separated from their mother for too long.

Britney was even said to be paying him $4,000 a week to travel with her so she could be near them.

This week, lawyers for Spears and Federline reportedly filed documents with the U.S. family law Commissioner Scott Gordon, stating they have reached a new temporary custody arrangement.

U.S. gossip website TMZ reported that the family had agreed new custody arrangements for the tour.

Britney will have custody of her sons more than the 50 per cent of the time for the rest of June, July and August.

The tour is a family affair for Britney - who is also accompanied by her sister Jamie-Lynn and father Jamie, who is managing her affairs.

After her Manchester gig, she will head to Dublin for two more before going to France in July to continue her high-energy tour of Europe.

Britney Snubs Beyonce's Concert

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

On Monday night, the Mail understands, Britney had been invited to Beyonce's opening show at the O2, and the party afterwards.

However she apparently decided to spend the night in.

She stayed at the Mandarin Hotel where her two sons - Sean Preston, three, and Jayden-James, two - were tucked up in bed under the watchful eye of nannies by 8pm.

Miss Spears has kept an extraordinarily low profile on this trip to London, apparently on the advice of record label executives well aware that she is at the last chance saloon after her recent fall from grace.

Her security team has been so keen for her not to be photographed they have employed a lookalike to divert attention whenever Miss Spears and her family leave the hotel.

Britney Spears Does It Again with a 'Remarkable Return' at the O2 Arena

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

Her life has often appeared to be something of a freak show, but Britney Spears put her troubles behind her last night as she opened her European tour with a wonderfully theatrical concert with a Big Top theme.

Billed as The Circus Starring Britney Spears, it was a relentlessly high octane and superbly choreographed affair that delighted 23,000 fans.

The 27-year-old superstar's fortunes had appeared to be on the wane two years ago, with her singing career increasingly overshadowed by a messy divorce, a stint in rehab and a custody battle for her two young children.

But, musically at least, things have since looked up dramatically.

With her affairs now handled by her father the singer's last two albums, Blackout and Circus, have re-established her credentials.

Moving away from the bubblegum tunes of her teen years, the Louisiana-born singer has skilfully repositioned herself as a grown-up diva who leans heavily towards electronic dance music and modern R&B.

This show, the first of eight in London and one in Manchester, capped what has been a remarkable comeback.

Presented in the round, with three circular stages positioned amid flashing lights in the middle of the arena, it afforded every member of the largely female audience an excellent view of proceedings.

It was certainly a vast improvement on 2004's Onyx Hotel tour.

The opening salvo focussed heavily on songs from Blackout and Circus.

The show had been proceeded by a video introduction from Hollywood gossip columnist Perez Hilton, in which Spears was billed as 'the mistress of ceremonies'.

Dressed as a ringmaster in a black top hat and red tails the singer made a grand entrance, descending into the hall from above, suspended in a harness.

She then sang the title track from Circus before launching into another recent hit, Piece of Me.

For this song, a bikini-clad Britney was paraded around the three stages while gyrating in a gilded cage - a metaphor, surely, for a life lived in the spotlight.

Surrounded by scantily-clad dancers, a blonde Britney looked trimmer than of late as she lifted the audience out of their seats dancing to her third song, Womanizer.

The show, which took some inspiration from recent tours by Madonna, placed visual values on a par with musical content although the majority of the fans seemed more than happy with this.

Britney might possess a breathless, raspy voice with an appealing Southern twang on record, but she has never been one of pop's more stunning singers on stage.

Her dance moves, too, were so energetic that it was sometimes difficult to assess whether all of her vocals were fully live.

But those dance moves were mostly brilliantly realised: one song, Boys, featured her interacting with a troupe of MBX cyclists; another, Me Against the Music, boasted a thrilling Arabian Nights theme.

While the show concentrated predominantly on recent hits there was room at the end of the show for old favourites Toxic and Baby One More Time.

Only the foolhardy would predict that Spears' offstage problems have all been consigned to history. But on the evidence of the spectacular witnessed in Docklands last night she is currently staging one of pop's most remarkable comebacks.

Seemingly against the odds, Britney has done it again.

Britney Requests A Strippers' Pole For Her London Hotel Room During Upcoming Tour

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

The Britney Spears circus is well and truly underway in London. The Dorchester is already making plans for her arrival at the start of June.

The singer has asked for a stripper’s pole to be installed in her favourite suite in the top hotel so she can work out between shows during the appropriately named Circus tour.

Hardly the most orthodox request they’re likely to have received at the five-star hotel.
A source said: 'Britney loves pole dancing, it is her new favourite work out.

She gets the toning that she needs without having to hit the gym, and she wants to be able to do it in the privacy of her own hotel room.

'Keeping fit on the tour is very important as her show is full of rigorous dance routines, so Britney likes to do her pole dancing work out every morning when she gets up.'

The 27-year-old star, who is known for her love of 'good old-fashioned cuisine' (or junk food), has also asked for a cook from the Nando’s restaurant chain to be on hand for the duration of her visit to whip her up some spicy chicken when she feels like it.

The last time Britney was in town she gorged on Domino’s pizza instead of eating in any of London’s fancy restaurants.

And finally, Britney is planning a huge private shopping spree in Topshop while she is in town.
She is making arrangements for Sir Philip Green to open the store especially for her and her dancers so they can stock up on a new wardrobe with no other customer vying for the bargains.

Looking Preachy, Britney!

The following italicized article is from www.dailystar.co.uk:

GLORY be! Pop babe Britney Spears wants to be a Baptist minister.

The “born-again” singer has stunned her family and friends by announcing she’ll take to the pulpit when her music career is over.

And Brit, 27, who has recently recovered from a psychiatric nightmare, is already revealing her evangelical zeal on her Circus world tour.

As well as banning booze and smoking backstage – as the Daily Star Sunday revealed last week – she has ordered her support act The Pussycat Dolls and her entire army of back-up singers, dancers and musicians to undergo drug tests before the 34 American gigs.

And she has insisted her sons Sean, three, and Jayden, two, are led away when she changes into skimpy outfits.

Britney, who earlier dabbled in Kabbalah and Scientology, has told her inner circle she’s determined to live a “clean life” and return to her Southern Baptist roots.

She intends to go back to her home town of Kentwood, Louisiana, when her singing days are over to become one of that church’s few female ministers.

A pal said: “Brit’s always believed in God and she was brought up in a family of church-goers. But her spirituality was re-awakened in rehab.

“She was introduced to a 12-step programme which advocates turning your life over to a ‘higher power’.

“She fully understands the mayhem she’s wreaked in the past, costing her custody of her kids and almost wrecking her career.

“She hopes that becoming an ordained minister will not only allow her to make spiritual amends to herself, it will also allow her to help and counsel those who need it.”

A source close to Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline said: “Britney now compared with Britney 18 months ago is like the difference between night and day.

“But her parents are pretty aghast at the idea of her becoming a preacher. They’re hoping it’s a passing phase.

“It’s difficult to knock someone who wants to enter the church and is pretty much living like a saint – apart from when she’s peeling off her clothes on stage!

“But the idea of her taking holy orders has caused real consternation.”

In the meantime, the singer is making sure her young sons’ eyes are shielded from any signs of sin.

The pal said: “It’s time for them to leave her shows about 45 minutes in – when she switches to a costume featuring nipple tassels.

“They’d been loving the show in Tampa, Florida.

“But Britney’s mom Lynne knew to quietly lead them away during a brief interlude, before her daughter reappeared with the black tassels.

“There’s no way Brit wants her kids to see her dressed like that, with guys in the audience making obscene gestures and remarks.”

That could impress the Baptists who boast a huge following in America’s “Bible Belt”.

A spokesman for them said: “We would welcome anyone to train for the ministry, so long as their motives were in keeping with church beliefs and practices and their desire to serve was honest and true.”

Lynne Spears: I'm To Blame For My Britney's Meltdown

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

Britney may be back - but her demons haven't gone away. And no one knows that better than her mother, Lynne, as she reveals in this frank interview.

There was a point, admits Lynne Spears, mother of Britney, when she toyed with the idea of calling her autobiography It's All My Fault. 'I can laugh about it now, but did I feel that way at the time? Yes, I did and, if I'm being totally honest, I still do,' she says.

Lynne is referring to her daughter's all-too-public meltdown last year, when she sank from America's sweetheart to public enemy number one, seemingly intent on destroying herself and everything around her.

'When her life was such a success, what did she need me for? And when things took a turn for the worse, I was out, because other people - dancers, managers - were closer to her, and with her day and night. Being a mother, you can't help but have regrets about what you did and didn't do for your kids, and I'm no different,' admits Lynne.

Certainly, there must have been times last year when those regrets seemed almost stifling.

For seven long months, during which time Britney lost custody of her two young sons and was ordered to submit to random drugs and alcohol tests, Lynne was banished from her daughter's life completely.

At the time, friends of the star were worried that she might try to kill herself - a fear shared by Lynne. 'Yes, I did worry that that might happen,' she confesses. 'I couldn't see Britney, and you worry more when you're looking at things from a distance.'

After the loss of her sons, Britney once again reached out to her mother and asked for her help regaining custody. 'When I started seeing her again, I felt more reassured,' says Lynne. 'She told me that, as bad as life can get, she still likes life too much to consider ending it.'

It must have been hard to see her daughter wrenched from her young children, but Lynne has nothing but praise for their father, Kevin Federline. 'He has been real good with Britney, and doesn't want to keep the kids from her at all,' she says, adding that Britney's access rights translate in real terms to 'getting to see the kids almost any time she wants'.

'He's not a bad guy and he has a good heart. I would have chosen a prince or a state governor for her, but Kevin's worked a lot to help out, and I can't say anything bad about him.'

Lynne, 53, has been painted over the years as the hard-nosed architect of Britney's fame, pushing her off to dancing and singing lessons as a young girl, desperate for superstardom. It's an image that clearly rankles.

'I was never a stage mum and never Britney's manager. What really gets me about that stage mum thing is that, in this business, it's customary for the mother to take five per cent, but I never did, even when times were bad and our family needed the money.

Jamie [Britney's father] and I both said that we never wanted to be her managers; we just wanted to be parents. I was never in the driver's seat as far as Britney's career goes.'

We meet in a hotel in New Orleans, where she has been publicising her book (she opted for the title Through The Storm in the end), and though she is wary, she is also very charming; all softly-spoken, immaculately-suited Southern bonhomie, sprinkling 'y'all's about her like confetti.
Following Britney's UK appearance on last week's X Factor, I ask Lynne if her daughter is happy now. I expect a saccharine answer and am taken aback when she gives the question some consideration before saying, 'I think Britney's happy in most ways - very happy with her kids and ecstatic about work, but there's something missing in her life.

That gut belief she had in herself when she was so young - that's what's missing, and she's got to get that back. She could set the world on fire in those days, and she knew exactly what she wanted. But the hardships she's been through have made her a little hesitant. She needs one big boost, one plug of energy and she'll be there.'

That 'gut belief' in herself was, more than anything, what propelled Britney from Smalltown, USA, to worldwide superstardom at the age of 17. Growing up in Kentwood, Louisiana (where Lynne still lives), the middle of three children (she has an older brother, Bryan, and younger sister Jamie Lynn), Britney Jean Spears was raised by Lynne, a schoolteacher, and Jamie, a building contractor.

From the age of three, she had jazz, ballet and tap lessons - not, Lynne insists, out of a mother's desire to nudge her daughter on to the stage, but 'because Britney loved it.

She just loved performing and no one could stop her.'

By the time Britney was 11, she was a star of Disney's popular Mickey Mouse Club TV series. Many claimed that Britney's escalating fame was a godsend to her parents, who were teetering financially, but Lynne is indignant at the suggestion.

'It cost a lot to send Britney to classes and competitions, and by the time she made it to the Mickey Mouse Club, what she made barely paid for the apartment we stayed in [in Florida], and with living expenses, too, it actually cost us money. But she really wanted to do it and we weren't going to stop her.'

In retrospect, does Lynne sometimes wish that she had said no to all the aspirations of her daughter? 'Well, that's unrealistic,' she says. 'You don't tell your child, "You can't play football because you might get into steroids one day", because you just don't foresee those problems. Even if I had said no to Britney, maybe worse things might have happened because she was frustrated and couldn't fulfil her dreams.'

And so her dreams came true, but a living nightmare quickly followed. The tale of Britney's fall from grace has been well-documented. A hugely successful international singing star, Britney dated singer Justin Timberlake for four years. When that relationship ended in 2002, she married twice in quick succession - the first to childhood friend Jason Alexander, which was annulled after just 55 hours, and the second to dancer Kevin Federline, with whom she had her two boys.

When the couple divorced two years later, Britney fell apart. A shocked world followed her fall from grace, courtesy of paparazzi shots that showed Britney shaving her head, driving while holding her eldest son on her lap and attacking a crowd of photographers with an umbrella. She was sectioned in a mental health clinic twice in the space of a month and, worst of all, lost custody of the boys - Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two.

At this point, at their wits' end, her parents stepped in. In January of this year, Jamie was awarded 'legal conservatorship' over his daughter, giving him control over Britney's personal and business affairs. Lynne and Jamie divorced six years ago after 27 years of marriage, but on this course of action they were united.

'I admire Jamie for making the effort and trying to do it well,' says Lynne. 'We decided he should be the one to do it, because he's the stronger figure. Mums always give in to their kids because we're softies, and what Britney needed at the time was the stronger person.'

But Jamie, too, has had his problems. He has battled with an addiction to alcohol, though he has now been sober for five years. 'We all had reservations at first,' admits Lynne, 'and we all worried that the stresses of such a major undertaking would affect them both. But Jamie's really doing well with Britney, and I must give him credit for that.'

By all accounts, Mr Spears is no slouch on the disciplining front, apparently drawing up a list of rules with which his 27-year-old daughter must comply, including no emailing or driving. And no exceeding the £750 a month allowance he gives her. 'She was spending a lot of money, so that would make sense,' says Lynne.

In the TV documentary For The Record, which was recently screened on Sky, Britney likened her current predicament to a jail sentence. 'I'm sure she does feel reined in too tight some days,' says her mother, 'but it was definitely necessary in the beginning.

'Jamie's real gruff sometimes, but he's been a disciplinarian when it was needed. He's always adored his children, but when they were younger, he was so distracted with work and was drinking heavily, so they maybe didn't bond like they should have done.'

Of Britney's recent liaison with British paparazzo Adnan Ghalib (who at one point reportedly sold semi-naked pictures of Britney for around £25,000), Lynne remains tightlipped. 'Did I think it seemed right that they were seeing each other? Oh, no. But when I met him, Sam Lufti [Britney's former manager] was also around, and Adnan was definitely the better of the two. But Adnan's out of her life now,' Lynne adds, with some relief.

As terrible as it must have been for Lynne to witness Britney's plight, the most difficult chapters for her to write in her book were those concerning her youngest daughter Jamie Lynn's pregnancy at the age of 16, and the birth of her baby daughter, who is now six months old.

Jamie Lynn followed Britney into showbusiness by starring in children's TV show Zoey 101, and when the story of her pregnancy broke, the critics were quick to blame Lynne.

'With Britney, everything had always been out there in the public domain,' she says. 'So, even if I wasn't used to the pain, I was still used to those things happening. But with Jamie Lynn it was so different. I couldn't believe that my studious, perfect little girl had got herself pregnant. I just went into shock. But she's doing great now, and is a wonderful mum to Maddie Briann.'

Have Jamie Lynn and her boyfriend Casey Aldridge set a wedding date? 'No, but Jamie Lynn will do the right thing at the right time.' Does that involve having more children? 'Oh, no, definitely not,' says Lynne, horrified. 'I think it took that one time to make her grow up and realise her responsibilities.'

Looking back, Lynne believes mistakes have been made. 'I think I was an enabler to Britney,' she says. 'I would over-compensate and I tried to make things seem happier when my kids were growing up, because I was aware of the deficit. Maybe I didn't give her the skills to handle the hard times. Maybe I sheltered her too much from the realities, and sometimes that's not a good thing.'

Children of an alcoholic parent are often over-achievers and Britney, who Lynne describes as being 'a beautiful girl, a wonderful singer and dancer and gymnast', achieved more than most.

When fame hit, it hit hard, 'and that's when everything started slipping away. She was a bird flying on her own, when what she most needed was to have good people around her.' And now, how does Lynne feel? 'I'm so proud of Britney. She's been through a tough time and look at her now,' she says. 'That's my baby - and she's back.'

Britney is certainly going through a period of rejuvenation, but, for all Lynne's brave words, there are signs that she still has some way to go. In an interview in last month's Rolling Stone magazine, she told how forgoing her partying ways and going to bed early have left her feeling like 'an old person', and in the documentary For The Record, she described how every day feels 'like Groundhog Day... it's really boring'.

Throughout the film, Britney seemed to be slightly disconnected, as if she was on autopilot - the vivacious singer of old was just a faint memory - and I can't help but think back to what her mother said, about there being 'something missing' in her life. Like Lynne, I sincerely hope she finds it again.

Britney Seals Her Comeback With X-Factor Performance

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

After a No.4 hit with her latest track Womanizer and two MTV Europe Music Awards last week, Britney Spears is continuing her comeback with a live performance on The X Factor.

The pop star, 26, will cement her return to the music industry with a performance of her single on the hit ITV talent show.

Britney will also meet the six remaining contests on the November 29th broadcast.

Britney's appearance comes after Mariah Carey and Will Young appeared on recent Saturday's, mentoring the contestants.

The superstar's X Factor performance will be her first on UK television for five years.

After a difficult few years, during which she went through a divorce and was hospitalised twice for psychiatric evaluation, Britney is now looking better than she has in years.

Since dealing with her problems with the help of her father Jamie and mother Lynne, Britney has been focusing her energies of getting her career back on track.

She picked up three awards at the MTV Video Music Awards in September for her single Piece Of Me, and continued her success at the MTV Europe Music Awards last week with two trophies - even though she was unable to attend the Liverpool ceremony.

Earlier this month, Britney wowed fans when she joined Madonna on stage during the Material Girl's Los Angeles gig.

Her sixth studio album Circus is set for release on her 27th birthday on December 2nd.

She took a step back from her career when she first met her then-husband Kevin Federline in 2004.

The dancer accompanied her to London on the European leg of her Onyx Hotel Room Tour.

But after injuring her knee filming the video for her song Outrageous, Britney cancelled the rest of her tour and returned to the U.S., where she started planning her marriage to Kevin.

After marrying the aspiring rapper in September 2004, Britney took several years out of her career to raise her two children Sean Preston, three; and Jayden James, two.

Panic As Britney Rushes Son Jayden To The Emergency Room

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

Britney Spears rushed her two-year-old son to hospital after he suffered a suspected seizure during a family trip to her hometown.

Jayden James was raced to the emergency ward after lapsing into a 'vague and unresponsive' state.

The toddler fell ill yesterday afternoon at the family home in Kentwood, Louisiana.

The entire Spears clan made the 25-mile dash to Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Centre, Mississippi.

Doctors were unable to pinpoint the problem straight away and kept the toddler in for overnight observation.

Distraught Britney, 26, refused to leave his side and asked for a bed next to him in the ward.
Her ex-husband, rapper Kevin Federline, is now believed to be making plans to jet out of Los Angeles to be at Jayden's bedside.

It's the first time Britney has been allowed to leave California with sons Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden since their dad K-Fed was given full custody in July.

She flew them into Louisiana on a private jet with her dad Jamie on Friday, the morning after her surprise appearance onstage with Madonna in Los Angeles.

The special week-long visit was to steal some family time ahead of Britney's forthcoming promotional tour of her new album 'Circus'.

She was also anxious to be reunited with her little sister Jamie-Lynn, 17, who recently gave birth to daughter Maddie-Briann.

Sources say chaos erupted when Jayden suffered a suspected seizure out of the blue, at about 3pm yesterday.

'One minute Britney and her sons were relaxing and enjoying their first visit to Kentwood in months, and the next minute Jayden had fallen ill,' said a source.

'He was vague and unresponsive so Britney dialled an ambulance. But she was told it would take half an hour to arrive, and she was best trying to get Jayden to the hospital herself.'

Minutes later, two cars tore out of the Spears' 'Serenity' residence.

The first, a Lincoln Navigator, carried Britney, her mum Lynne and dad Jamie as well as the poorly toddler. A Range Rover driven by Jamie-Lynn also carried their brother Brian.

When the convoy reached the motorway, Jamie-Lynn reportedly thwarted following photographers by refusing to let them pass.

She drove slowly alongside another vehicle to keep them back while her sister accelerated away.

When snappers arrived at the hospital, which is now being manned by police, Britney and her son had already dashed inside.

'Jayden James had to be kept in hospital overnight for observations,' said the source. 'We don't yet know what's wrong with him.

'Britney was insistent that wouldn't leave him. She asked for a bed to be made up in the same room so she could be there at his side.'

Britney And Madonna Reunite

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

Fans turning up for the Britney Spears and Madonna reunion would have been expecting to see the 26-year-old in a typically raunchy outfit.

But instead the 50-year-old Material Girl was the one wearing the more revealing clothes as the pair performed a duet on stage.

The pop megastars looked like they should have swapped outfits as they sang together at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles during Madonna's Sticky and Sweet tour.

A demure looking Britney, dressed in a simple white blouse and black trousers was invited on stage by Madonna and joined in with one of her songs.

And Madonna was also joined by Justin Timberlake to perform their hit duet 4 Minutes.

Rumours that the former lovers Justin and Britney, who split in 2002 after four years, would perform together with Madonna proved unfounded though as they did not appear together on stage.

It's a bit different from the last time Britney and Madonna appeared on stage together.

The pair caused a stir in 2003 when they shared a steamy lesbian kiss live on stage during the opening performance on the MTV Music Awards in New York's Radio City Music Hall.

It's not the first they have collaborated together, with Madonna appearing on Britney's track 'Me Against the Music' on her In The Zone album.

The comeback Queen was pictured last week dressed up as a witch as she took her two sons Jayden James and Sean Preston trick or treating.

She posted the shots on her website, along with the cover art for her new album Circus, which is due out on her birthday on December 2.

And the 'Womanizer' singer is set to appear on the X Factor show in two weeks' time to meet the contestants and perform her new single.

Madonna has thrown herself into her 32-concert Sticky and Sweet tour of the Americas after the announcement of her divorce with Guy Ritchie.

She faces a bitter divorce battle with the film director, with Kabbalah leaders demanding a quick out of court settlement.

Britney's Back On The Rails

Britney Spears looked every inch the doting mother as she collect her sons Sean and Jayden for a weekend visit.

The 26-year-old singer, who has managed to turn her life around after a very public breakdown, appeared happy and healthy in a pink top and jeans as she balanced her youngest boy on her hip.

She was accompanied by the man who has been credited with nursing her back to full health - her father Jamie Spears.

The scenes are a sharp contrast to earlier this year, when a wild-eyed Britney lost custody of Sean Preston, 3, and two-year-old Jayden James to her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

But since that time the singer's life has turned around for the better.

This week saw a return to form as her new song Womanizer topped the digital download chart in the US.

It debuted with downloads of 285,800 — the best first week for a female artist on that chart since it began in 2003.

The previous record holder was Mariah Carey's Touch My Body which entered the digital songs chart with just 200 fewer units back in April.

Womanizer also hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, which aggregates digital sales with airplay.

Yesterday her father Jamie told told jurors that Britney was planning to move back to Louisiana - her home town.

The singer is currently on trial for allegedly driving without a valid license.

Jamie Spears, 56, claimed that - although she lived there at the moment- California was not his daughter's permanent residence and she was only in the state for the sake of her sons.

'Her home is Louisiana', he told the court in his southern drawl.

Asked when she would be returning to the Deep South, he said: 'There's plans right now.'

'We're here with her kids. We have visitation rights. We have to stay to augment those rights.'

He told the jurors they planned to move back to Louisiana 'once we can travel with the kids and spend time there'

She faces up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine if she is convicted of driving without a valid license in August last year.

Two Jurors Dismissed From Britney Driving Trial After Telling Court 'She's A Bad Mother'

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

A court case against Britney Spears got off to a bad start today when two potential jurors told the hearing: 'She’s bound to be guilty.'

The star is on trial in California for driving without a licence.

But two prospective jurors were kicked off the case for saying she should be convicted, even before hearing a shred of evidence against her.

'I think this case is a slam dunk. I think she's guilty,' said a sandwich shop worker.

'I was given a traffic violation and I had to pay the ticket.'

The same man also told judge James A. Steele that he would struggle to stop himself discussing details of the trial with his wife - even if ordered to do so.

'If you order me not to talk to her I'm risking getting divorced,' he laughed.

One elderly teacher told the court she could not be impartial as she did not have a good impression of Miss Spears.

'I don't like that person … as a responsible mother. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm sure that she's guilty,' she said.

The courtroom broke into sniggers as another woman claimed she was not certain she could make a decision without consulting her husband.

Last night efforts to find 12 people to decide the singer’s fate were still underway at Van Nuys Court, California.

Miss Spears is accused of getting behind the wheel in August last year without a valid California driving licence.

If convicted, she faces up to six months in jail and a £500 fine.

The charge stems from an incident when the singer allegedly struck a parked car with her vehicle.

A hit-and-run charge was dismissed after she compensated the other driver fordamage caused, but the charge of driving without a valid licence remained. The Toxic star denies the charge on the grounds that she held a Louisiana driving licence at the time.

Prosecutors claim that as a California resident - having made the state her main home - she is legally required to have a California licence.

Miss Spears opted for a jury trial after rejecting a plea deal of one year's probation and a £75 fine. Her lawyer Michael Flanagan said she did not want any sort of criminal conviction on her record.

The singer is not required to attend the trial, which is expected to last three days.
The case continues.

Britney And Ex-Husband Kevin Are 'Undergoing Couples' Counselling'

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

What a difference a year makes. Twelve months ago, Britney Spears was a lost cause - a tragic figure of fun who lost custody of her two young sons in a blaze of flashbulbs and disastrous publicity.

But the pop starlet has made a remarkable comeback in recent weeks, triumphing at the MTV Video awards, losing her excess weight - and now she is to take her rehabilitation a step further.

In a shock new move she and her ex-husband Kevin Federline are considering getting back together, it has been reported by America's National Enquirer.

The two are reportedly undergoing couples counselling to rebuild their relationship in the hope that they can raise their two sons as a family.

'Part of their therapy involves going on formal dates and Britney is so excited,' a source told the magazine. 'She's never stopped loving Kevin or hoping they'd get back together.

'Kevin still loves Britney too and if all goes well after six months of counselling they'll move back in together with the boys.'

Britney and Federline's three-year marriage ended in a bitter divorce in July last year, followed by a custody battle over sons Sean Preston, three, and two-year-old Jayden James.

But insiders say things have changed since the end of the court case.

'Britney's dad first talked to Kevin about reconciling with her last spring. He was really noncommital at the time because he and Britney were still at odds over custody.

'But Kevin's always believed it would be best for the boys to be raised by both parents, and he and Jamie spent weeks looking for a counsellor who suited both his and Britney's personalities and could come to their homes.'

Britney is reportedly prepared to do whatever it takes to have her sons back full time.

She is now selling her home in Beverly Hills to move nearer to Kevin and their sons.

'If all goes well they'll move into Britney's new house together,' the source revealed.

And if all goes well they are even considering getting back together.

The Spears Family Reunited At Last After Years Of Very Public Feuding

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

They are the very picture of a happy family - perched on the kerbside they chat and laugh as they admire the latest addition to the family.

But just months ago this scene would have been unimaginable. Back then Britney Spears was estranged from her mother Lynn and younger sister Jamie Lynn.

But there was no hint of the horrors of the past year as the teen idol celebrated her two son's birthdays yesterday with a family reunion.

Jamie-Lynn had flown in from her home in Louisiana to Los Angeles to celebrate the birthdays of Britney's sons, which are only two days apart.

Sean Preston turned three on September 14 and Jayden was two on September 12. It is not clear if their father Kevin Federline, from whom Britney is divorced, was present at the party.
Looking at the family portrait it seems incredible to think that in June last year the 26-year-old served her mother with a restraining order to stop her having any contact with her grandsons.

Then in January, in an image that shocked her fans, she was pictured sobbing uncontrollably on a kerb at the side of the road with only her puppy for comfort.

Britney then suffered a very public meltdown, shaving her head and losing custody of her sons to her ex-husband in February.

Her increasingly erratic behaviour led to her being taken into psychiatric care under a mental health order. A judge made her parents her guardians, giving them control of her money to stop her being taken advantage of by hangers on.

Since emerging from the mental health unit in the spring Britney has remained at home in LA with her father Jamie, getting her life back together.

Having been virtually estranged from her parents, Britney is now described as being 'incredibly close' to them again. This represents a major turnaround, since at the height of her troubles Britney publicly blamed her woes on her father.

Now, Jamie says: 'We've grown a lot. I've been able to come back into my daughter's life, and that was an adjustment anyway, because I'm an alcoholic and it's the first time we've really been able to share.

'It's wonderful. It's new for both of us. She sometimes calls me 50 times a day and asks me things that light my life up. But, like all daughters, she is very cunning. So she gets what she wants a lot.'

And Britney, who found out about her then 16-year-old sister's pregnancy from a paparazzi, is once again close to Jamie Lynn. After months of not speaking the pop star attended her sister's baby shower, marking the beginning of a new relationship for the two.

Meet The Man Who Transformed Britney From A Shaven-Headed Monster To The Star Of The MTV Awards

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

What a difference a year makes. Twelve months ago, Britney Spears was a lost cause - a tragic figure of fun who lost custody of her two young sons in a blaze of flashbulbs and disastrous publicity.

Her shambolic appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards last September - described as a 'car crash' by critics - was widely regarded as the death knell of a once unstoppable career.

As the great and the good of the music industry watched agog, a paunchy, glassy-eyed Britney stumbled blindly through a rendition of her latest record, having lost the ability even to mime convincingly.

Coming after months of erratic, often drug-fuelled madness - including a lengthy stint in a rehab clinic - it marked the moment when the public perception-of Britney Spears shifted from hilarity to tragedy.

Not any more. This week the MTV awards returned, and stealing the show was a bronzed vision of health and vitality who was utterly unrecognisable from the shambling figure of 2007.

Britney, 26, launched the event with a short comedy sketch alongside Hollywood actor Jonah Hill, before taking the stage to a standing ovation.

Looking every inch the toned, polished megastar, she swept the board. She had previously been nominated 16 times without winning a thing, but this week her dazzling smile said it all as she picked up the best video, best pop video and best female video awards.

The song, Piece Of Me, was released at the height of her troubles, and the furore surrounding her public meltdown ensured respectable sales, with top ten chart positions all around the world.
(It was not, however, vintage Britney and many have seen the recognition given to the song as evidence of a poor year for pop music.)

Before taking to the stage to collect her awards, Britney stopped to hug a slim, crop-haired man with a neatly-trimmed goatee beard. To the millions of fans watching on television he was just another meaningless backroom boy. To those in the know, however, he was the person who should have been receiving the plaudits.

Larry Rudolph, the pop guru who made Britney a global star, is back in her life - and he might just have saved her life, too.

Russell Brand, the controversial host of MTV Video Music Awards, demonstrated a typically tasteless turn of phrase in describing Britney as a 'female Christ' - but as showbusiness resurrections go, it was certainly impressive.

This, remember, is a woman who just over six months ago was forcibly strapped to an ambulance trolley and dragged off to the psychiatric ward of a hospital.

She was sectioned twice in a month after doctors diagnosed her as being manic depressive with a borderline personality disorder, concluding that she was 'a danger to herself and to others.'

So what is behind this extraordinary change in her fortunes? Could this really be the same young woman who used to drive around Los Angeles in a shocking pink wig, popping prescription pills like they were going out of fashion while an army of paparazzi recorded her every move?

She may not have done a great deal more than smile and thank God 'for blessing me like this,' but as far as her fans and the American media are concerned, the transformation is complete.

In gratingly over-the-top terms, the LA Times hailed her return as a 'triumph of the Olympian kind,' while the Washington Post headline declared: 'Spears is MTV's Comeback Kid.'

But perhaps it is Perez Hilton, the leading gossip columnist whose online blog is read by tens of millions every day, who sums it up best. 'That's what people want - they want to see her smiling,' he says. 'Even if all she does is smile and wave, I say that's mission accomplished.'

Even that simple achievement, however, has not been achieved without a rehabilitation campaign of military intensity.

Britney has been under virtual house arrest ever since emerging from a mental health unit in the spring. It is thought to have been a voluntary arrangement, but the star has become painfully aware that her life had to change.

She was, after all, mentally ill, and there were people all around her taking advantage of that fact.

After her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, won custody of their two young children in February, she didn't sleep for four days and finally ended up in hospital getting the help she so desperately needed.

Having been virtually estranged from her parents, Britney is now described as being 'incredibly close' to them again, so much so that her father, Jamie, now has official control of her assets.

This represents a major turnaround, since at the height of her troubles Britney publicly blamed her woes on her father and Larry Rudolph.

Now, Jamie says of the reconciliation: 'We've grown a lot.

At the beginning of his stewardship of Britney's assets - shared with her lawyer Andrew Wallet - Jamie gave up his career as a chef to care for his daughter around the clock at her home in California's San Fernando Valley.

Along with her trusted advisers, however, he remains uncertain of her ability to cope on her own, and her affairs are likely to remain in the hands of others at least until the end of the year.

'I would hope that it stands until the end of the year, and then we'll sit back and evaluate where we are at the time, where Britney is at that time,' says her father.

'I do understand that my baby made this monster [a reference to the dire situation she found herself in] but when she was down, people took advantage.'

Her mother, Lynne, has also been ushered back into the fold, despite spending their year of estrangement penning a warts-and-all book titled Through The Storm: A Real Story Of Fame And Family In A Tabloid World.

Most important of all, however, has been the rapprochement between Britney and Larry Rudolph, the manager who oversaw her rise from sickly sweet pre-teen performing pastiches of modern hits on American kids television show, The Mickey Mouse Club, to global star with a £60million fortune to her name.

It is thought the star's parents both contacted Rudolph after Britney hit rock bottom and begged him to come back into their daughter's life. For a long time, he was seen as a Svengali figure for her, and without him in her life she had no confidence in anything she did professionally.

Those who have observed the singer for years were aware that for some time she was obliged to adopt a sweet and innocent facade which was patently false.

First there was unrestrained hype about her being a virgin in a blatant bid to appeal to Middle America's puritan masses - when nothing could have been further from the truth - and then she started experimenting with drink and drugs.

In short, she started to believe her own publicity and to think she could get away with anything.

Not any longer, it would seem. I understand that Mr Rudolph agreed to take Britney on as a client again on the strict understanding that she would not take drugs or drink heavily, and that he would have the final say on all career decisions.

This was a deal her parents were only too pleased to accept, and since Rudolph has returned to the fold the singer's circumstances have changed beyond recognition.

Now, all the hangers-on are gone, Britney has been instructed to go to bed by 11pm at the latest, unless she's working, and people aren't even allowed to smoke around her. But Britney is said to thrive on such strict parameters.

She has also overhauled her diet. Having lived on burgers, pizzas and sugary drinks for over a year she is limited to 1,200 calories a day. 'It may not sound much, but it's a lot of food if you eat the right things,' she says. 'And no sugar. I don't eat fruit or even drink fruit juice because of the sugar.'

The results are there for all to see, with Britney dropping two dress sizes and almost two stones in weight. But just how realistic is this regime over the long term?

Such concerns pale into insignificance when one considers how far Britney has come, and her family are delighted that Rudolph agreed to return. Negotiations to win him back were not easy. He is understood to have been wounded by the barbs aimed at him by a woman he had supported for so long.

Goaded on by her new management, Britney had told the world that Rudolph colluded with her father to 'force' her into rehab against her will. The implied subtext being that they were both motivated by greed and a desire to get their hands on her money.

It is worthy of note, however, that in years gone by he also represented Britney's teenage sweetheart, Justin Timberlake - himself a huge star earning many millions of dollars every year.

When the couple split up he could have jumped either way, but remained loyal to Britney.

Industry insiders believe this principled decision has personally cost Rudolph five million dollars as Timberlake's career has soared.

And he remains reluctant to discuss his return to the fold. Earlier this summer, he went on record to admit: 'I have spent time with her, and she is on the right path because she has people around her who care about her well-being. But this isn't the time to talk business. This is a time for healing.'

The Rudolph connection led to one slightly awkward moment behind the scenes at the MTV awards this week, when the heiress Paris Hilton invited Britney to 'hang out and party' with her. (The pair know each other of old, and last year spent many a night together drinking into the small hours.)

An embarrassed Britney is understood to have made her excuses and left, for fear of invoking the wrath of her manager.

The next day, Britney and Rudolph were spotted leaving the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills. Britney was dressed in a modest black outfit and resolutely refused to smile for the paparazzi who had been alerted to her presence.

And, with the old team back in harness, Britney had successfully hidden from photographers for months, working quietly on her health and fitness in preparation for a renewed assault on the charts.

There is even talk of bringing Britney's trusted PA of a decade's standing, Felicia Culotta, back into her inner circle after the pair fell out at the height of Britney's mental health problems - whereupon Felicia resigned her position to become a teacher.

Not all associates are so welcome, however. A restraining order has been taken out on Sam Lutfi, the manager who dominated her life last year (Britney's mother, Lynne, claims that Lutfi would grind up prescription pills and put them in Britney's food, hoping to put her in a coma that would allow doctors to cure her of all addictions).

Meanwhile, Britney has made a well-received cameo appearance on the hit television show How I Met Your Mother, and has been back in the studio recording material for a new album. She has even been granted access to her sons, Sean, three, and Jayden, two.

For all her rediscovered self confidence, however, it has been noted by music critics in the U.S. that Britney's MTV awards comeback consisted of little more than smiling, being polite and walking in a straight line.

Just a few months ago she was barely capable of performing any one of these feats, let alone all three at the same time, but the jury is still out on whether she can ever recapture past form.

The latest speculation surrounds a mooted appearance on stage with Madonna for the Los Angeles leg of the latter's current world tour, though doubts persist as to whether she will be up to it.

Whether Britney will be able to maintain her delicate equilibrium at all over the long term, only time will tell. But if Larry Rudolph has anything to do with it, the girl America is falling in love with all over again might just succeed.

Britney Dating Russel Brand

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

Britney Spears has long had questionable taste in men.

So it shouldn't exactly comes as a surprise that she's turned her attention to Russell Brand, a former drug user who has been treated for sex addition.

The pair are said to have enjoyed an intimate dinner last night at Hollywood's Little Red Door restaurant, where they arrived and left separately in an apparent effort to avoid being photographed together.

It seems the two formed a bond at Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards, where British comedian played host while the triumpant singer scooped three awards.

The certainly looked comfortable in each other's company at the star studded event, Russell at one point resting his hand on her leg.

Just hours before their romantic dinner last night, Russell told reporters he was back on the prowl after a three-month relationship with Australian Teresa Palmer, describing himself as 'footloose and fancy free'.

The lothario, who has dated Kate Moss and Sadie Frost, had previously said he had fallen in love with Palmer, even going so far as to say: 'There's no more womanising.'

Britney, who has already clocked up two ill-fated marriages with Kevin Federline and Jason Alexander, has been single since splitting from Birmingham born paparazzo Adnan Ghalib earlier this year.

Healthier And Happier Britney 'Looks At Regaining Custody Of Her Two Sons'

The following italicized article is from www.dailymail.co.uk:

She is already preparing for what is being labelled one of the biggest comebacks in pop.

But now Britney Spears is beginning an even bigger fight - to regain custody of her two young sons.

The star, who recently lost custody of sons Sean Preston, 2 and Jayden James, 1, to ex-husband Kevin Federline has made no secret of the fact that she wants to regain custody of her boys.

Britney, accompanied by mother Lynn, visited celebrity lawyer Barry Tarlow's office yesterday, fuelling speculation she is fighting to regain full custody of the toddlers.

Britney has already revealed she is preparing for a comeback in the next six to nine months and wants her young sons back by her side.

The singer has been in fine form of late and is looking better than ever after bouncing back from recent health troubles.

The former Princess of Pop has also been happier after agreeing to the settlement Federline.

As part of the agreement, Britney is allowed two visits and one overnight stay with her two sons, while her ex-husband retains primary custody.

But the mother-of-two is now hoping the custody arrangement will be altered so she can spend even more time with her boys and eventually retain full custody.

A hearing has already been set for September 16 and while cost hasn't appeared to be a major issue so far, the custody battle could leave her with more than £350,000 in legal bills.

Her battle to establish access rights to Sean Preston and Jayden James, led to two law firms billing her a combined total of £230,000, court documents have revealed.

Britney, 26, also agreed to pay Kevin's legal fees, which amounted to around £120,000.

But despite her recent troubles, Spears remains upbeat and reveals she has been busy experimenting with a new image and style in preparation for her career comeback.

'It is more urban. I'm working with producers who are just amazing. There is a fresh new energy,' she told OK magazine.

'The image factor is a little older too. The videos will be very different.'
