Britney To Play In Ireland?

The following italicized article is from www.independent.ie:

Britney Spears is set to announce two monster Irish summer gigs.

It has been reported that final negotiations are under way to bring her to Dublin this summer for several huge gigs in the RDS.

Her concerts in America have been going down a storm as she performs a string of 49 smash-hit dates as part of her Circus comeback tour.

It is now widely speculated that the pop princess will add Irish tour dates to the end of her British tour, which consists of 8 gigs this June. "It's more a case of when and not if," said an insider. "She'll be playing a load of dates in London's O2 in June so the general belief is that she'll also be adding two Irish performances to her tour.

"Her management team know they'll have no problem selling tickets for her show in Ireland as she's so popular over here, so it's a bit of a no-brainer. She performed at the RDS the last time and she thought it was an amazing venue and suited her kind of show perfectly."

Spears’ lawyers recently discussed the prospect of expanding the performances to include Australia and extra dates in Europe. She is expected to get the go-ahead to play Melbourne and Sydney along with several other locations as she continues to re-ignite her pop career.

Britney has hardly been out of the headlines in the past 3 years. She suffered a complete meltdown which resulted in her being admitted to hospital, and losing custody of her two young boys to her ex-husband Kevin Federline. Although now she is being hailed as making one of the most impressive comebacks ever, with fans giving her standing ovations.

However, if Irish fans are hoping to see her perform in a few months time, they better start saving up their cents now if the English prices are anything to go by.

For tickets at her London gigs prices start at £49 (€55) and go as high as £1,300 for two VIP passes, which get you a backstage tour and ‘ringside seats’.

As well as getting a birds-eye view of Britney's performance, you'll also get VIP parking, finger buffet and drinks and various gifts and goodies.
