Responding to an online report that boyfriend Jason Trawick recently popped the question during their Hawaiian getaway, the pop star's Web site warns fans with a "BS ALERT!"
While the two, who've been dating for more than one year, aren't engaged yet, they did have (someone else's) marriage in mind during their island vacation.
Spears, 28, and Trawick, 38, toured a wedding chapel at a Maui resort and watched a wedding from their hotel balcony.
As for their romantic future, says a source, "They're really taking things day by day and really enjoying their time." Source: People
The following italicized article is from www.eonline.com:Britney Spears may be master of her own domain again by the end of the year.
While lawyers kept mum on the details after spending more than two hours in judge's chambers this afternoon, a source close to the Circus attraction tells E! News that the court is gearing up to end Britney's conservatorship, in place since February 2008.
"Everyone involved believes she has the necessary proof that she is competent to be in charge of her affairs," says the source, and "she's more than ready."
But while the consensus appears to be that the 28-year-old divorced mother of two deserves to hold her own purse strings once again, will...er...that new tawdry lawsuit hurt her chances?
"One has nothing to do with the other," attorney Andrew Wallet, who's been overseeing Britney's affairs along with her dad Jamie Spears, tells E! News, referring to the sexual harassment suit filed by Britney's former bodyguard, who also claimed he witnessed her being abusive to her children.
Spears' legal camp has thumbed its nose at the allegations, and today conservatorship attorney Geraldine Wyle told E! that the singer is doing extremely well. (Neither Britney nor her pops was in court today.)
"She went on a wonderful vacation and is doing great things with her kids," Wyle says.
Britney & Co. celebrated 4-year-old Jayden's and 5-year-old Sean's birthdays at Disneyland over the weekend.
"I can't believe my boys are getting so big!" she tweeted yesterday.
As far as todays' closed hearing went, Britney's court-appointed lawyer Samuel Ingham did confirm that he requested permission for the pop star's bond holdings to be reduced from $25 million to $5 million.
The assets of the conservatorship are stable, he explained, but all money matters, including fund transfers between accounts, require the court's approval. L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz has been overseeing the case since Day 1.
Speaking of money matters, Britney's Beverly Hills home, where all the ambulance-and-cop craziness went down in '08, is still on the market after more than two years. The asking price has dropped more than $3 million since and now all that luxe lore can be yours for $4.85 million.
Another hearing to address more Spears-centric issues was set for Sept. 30.Source: E! Online

"Spent the boys' bday weekend at Disney and had a blast," Spears Tweeted Tuesday. "I can't believe my boys are getting so big! Happy birthday JJ and Preston. – Brit"
The brothers, a source tells PEOPLE, "went wild" at the theme park in Anaheim, Calif., on Saturday before having a small bash at home.
Also on the agenda for the birthday boys? Having yet another party. "The boys also brought a cake to school and celebrated with their friends," says the source. Source: People

Stay tuned for an all new poll coming soon!
The following italicized article is from www.thesundaytimes.co.uk:Lady Gaga is the first major star of the digital age. Since her rise, she has remained almost continually on tour. Hence, she is a moving target who has escaped serious scrutiny. She is often pictured tottering down the street in some outlandish get-up and fright wig. Most of what she has said about herself has not been independently corroborated… “Music is a lie”, “Art is a lie”, “Gaga is a lie”, and “I profusely lie” have been among Gaga’s pronouncements, but her fans swallow her line whole…
She constantly touts her symbiotic bond with her fans, the “little monsters”, who she inspires to “love themselves” as if they are damaged goods in need of her therapeutic repair. “You’re a superstar, no matter who you are!” She earnestly tells them from the stage, while their cash ends up in her pockets. She told a magazine with messianic fervour: “I love my fans more than any artist who has ever lived.” She claims to have changed the lives of the disabled, thrilled by her jewelled parody crutches in the Paparazzi video.
Although she presents herself as the clarion voice of all the freaks and misfits of life, there is little evidence that she ever was one. Her upbringing was comfortable and eventually affluent, and she attended the same upscale Manhattan private school as Paris and Nicky Hilton. There is a monumental disconnect between Gaga’s melodramatic self-portrayal as a lonely, rebellious, marginalised artist and the powerful corporate apparatus that bankrolled her makeover and has steamrollered her songs into heavy rotation on radio stations everywhere.
Lady Gaga is a manufactured personality, and a recent one at that. Photos of Stefani Germanotta just a few years ago show a bubbly brunette with a glowing complexion. The Gaga of world fame, however, with her heavy wigs and giant sunglasses (rudely worn during interviews) looks either simperingly doll-like or ghoulish, without a trace of spontaneity. Every public appearance, even absurdly at airports where most celebrities want to pass incognito, has been lavishly scripted in advance with a flamboyant outfit and bizarre hairdo assembled by an invisible company of elves.
Furthermore, despite showing acres of pallid flesh in the fetish-bondage garb of urban prostitution, Gaga isn’t sexy at all – she’s like a gangly marionette or plasticised android. How could a figure so calculated and artificial, so clinical and strangely antiseptic, so stripped of genuine eroticism have become the icon of her generation? Can it be that Gaga represents the exhausted end of the sexual revolution? In Gaga’s manic miming of persona after persona, over-conceptualised and claustrophobic, we may have reached the limit of an era…
Gaga has borrowed so heavily from Madonna (as in her latest video-Alejandro) that it must be asked, at what point does homage become theft? However, the main point is that the young Madonna was on fire. She was indeed the imperious Marlene Dietrich’s true heir. For Gaga, sex is mainly decor and surface; she’s like a laminated piece of ersatz rococo furniture. Alarmingly, Generation Gaga can’t tell the difference. Is it the death of sex? Perhaps the symbolic status that sex had for a century has gone kaput; that blazing trajectory is over…
Gaga seems comet-like, a stimulating burst of novelty, even though she is a ruthless recycler of other people’s work. She is the diva of déjà vu. Gaga has glibly appropriated from performers like Cher, Jane Fonda as Barbarella, Gwen Stefani and Pink, as well as from fashion muses like Isabella Blow and Daphne Guinness. Drag queens, whom Gaga professes to admire, are usually far sexier in many of her over-the-top outfits than she is.
Peeping dourly through all that tat is Gaga’s limited range of facial expressions. Her videos repeatedly thrust that blank, lugubrious face at the camera and us; it’s creepy and coercive. Marlene and Madonna gave the impression, true or false, of being pansexual. Gaga, for all her writhing and posturing, is asexual. Going off to the gym in broad daylight, as Gaga recently did, dressed in a black bustier, fishnet stockings and stiletto heels isn’t sexy – it’s sexually dysfunctional.
Compare Gaga’s insipid songs, with their nursery-rhyme nonsense syllables, to the title and hypnotic refrain of the first Madonna song and video to bring her attention on MTV, Burning Up, with its elemental fire imagery and its then-shocking offer of fellatio. In place of Madonna’s valiant life force, what we find in Gaga is a disturbing trend towards mutilation and death…
Gaga is in way over her head with her avant-garde pretensions… She wants to have it both ways – to be hip and avant-garde and yet popular and universal, a practitioner of gung-ho “show biz”. Most of her worshippers seem to have had little or no contact with such powerful performers as Tina Turner or Janis Joplin, with their huge personalities and deep wells of passion.
Generation Gaga doesn’t identify with powerful vocal styles because their own voices have atrophied: they communicate mutely via a constant stream of atomised, telegraphic text messages. Gaga’s flat affect doesn’t bother them because they’re not attuned to facial expressions.
Gaga's fans are marooned in a global technocracy of fancy gadgets but emotional poverty. Borderlines have been blurred between public and private: reality TV shows multiply, cell phone conversations blare everywhere; secrets are heedlessly blabbed on Facebook and Twitter. Hence, Gaga gratuitously natters on about her vagina…Source: The Sunday Times

We're told Britney -- who was there with both kids, plus boyfriend Jason Trawick -- traveled throughout the park with lots of security around them.Source: TMZ
Lucky Britney fan Brandon just spotted Britwick enjoying a nice outing to Disneyland.
More incredible news. Britney has just been announced as Australia’s 6th top selling artist from the last three decades (80′s, 90′s & 00′s).
Britney is also the 3rd biggest selling female artist in this country – beating out the likes of Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Delta Goodrem, Beyonce and Pink. The female artists that beat Britney to the top spot are Australia’s own Kylie Minogue and the Queen Of Pop, Madonna.
In so many ways, Britney Spears has defied everything that we know about pop music. Childhood stars are never popular beyond their first few years. Cross. Personal controversies affect music sales. Cross. A performer who blatantly mimes during her live performances loses much of her fan base. Cross. It’s a bit of an odyssey, really, but no matter how good or bad Britney’s life is, her musical career has reflected an amazing consistency that even outdoes Madonna.
In 1999, a fresh-faced Britney Spears with a few more teenage years to get through yet, was topping the charts all over the world. “…Baby One More Time” was the smash the 90′s were waiting for. Amongst all the novelty, the ballads, and that Elton John song, Britney’s pop debut would be the highest seller of her genre during the decade, and signal what was in store for us in the 2000′s.
While Hanson may have woken the world up to a new wave of teenage artist in 1997, it was Britney Spears who would really spearhead the new arrivals. 1999 also saw the debut for Christina Aguilera and Mandy Moore, and then joined by Jessica Simpson, Samantha Mumba, and so on and so on. Perhaps that is way she has remained the favourite, she was the first. It’s funny to think that Britney Spears is a relative old hand when it comes to music these days, and still in her late 20′s, would be one of the oldest acts to grace the charts of recent years, both career-wise, and age-wise.
Britney Spears has an appeal that has obviously crossed over from her original fan base, to a new generation of music lovers. I mean, seriously, would those 20 year olds who bought “…Baby One More Time” really been the same ones who bought “3″ 10 years later? But one thing is for sure, Britney has a good 30,000 to 50,000 fans in this country to consistenly have her singles go Gold at the very least. In fact, only three Britney Spears singles have failed to be accredited. Sure she hasn’t had anything as big as “…Baby”, or for that matter, the second release, “Sometimes”, but those steady sales of the following 23 singles are the reason Britney Spears finds herself in the Top 10 of the Biggest Singles artists of the last 30 years.
So where’s Britney at 11 years after “…Baby One More Time”? I reckon she’s sitting pretty good at the moment. I mean, Britney can literally count to 3 in a song, and bingo, another Top Ten hit. Maybe that’s why she’s so popular. Australia loves an underdog, and Britney would seem to be the epitimy of that. I think Britney’s career will only get better before it gets worse again, as her “legendary” status is starting to shine through. It may not be “legendary” for all the right reasons, but Britney Spears has certainly brought something different and exciting to the charts, and for that, we applaude.
In the Top 5 are Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Elton John, Michael Jackson & Black Eyed Peas.Source: Gimme Britney

The following italicized article is from www.eonline.com:We already know where one former Britney Spears bodyguard stands on her mothering acumen—or lack thereof.
Now, in an exclusive interview with E! News, another former protector of the pop tart has a strikingly different account of Spears' mommying prowess.
"In our time with Britney, we've never seen anything in a negative sense," Mark Chinapen, who worked for the pop star in 2007-08, tells E! News.
Chinapen says that he often saw Spears with her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and that he never saw anything as described in the lawsuit filed this week by former bodyguard Fernando Flores, who claimed to have seen Spears "savagely hit" one of her boys.
"If there was an issue, we would have said something to her or authorities when it came to the kids," says Chinapen, CEO of Big Time Affairs, who has also provided security for Carmen Electra and Lindsay Lohan. "But we never saw anything negative."
Chinapen says that during his tenure the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services conducted an investigation into alleged abuse, "but at the end of the day, there was no issue. They came, were happy with the results, and walked away."
Chinapen says that his time with Spears was relatively calm—nothing like the erratic, harassing behavoir Flores accused the singer of.
"It was very normal. Starbucks runs, going for lunch, driving, shopping, buying clothes, and going out to events. That's it," Chinapen says.
"Britney is one of those people that likes to conduct her own business and go around and do her thing around town. She's not looking for someone to be in her face 24/7, just someone to assist when they're needed."
Adds Chinapen of life as a celebrity bodyguard, "You're taking care of someone, protecting them from the outsiders, whether it be the paparazzi or a fan that is getting too close, and that's it. There's nothing bigger than that."Source: E! Online

This lawsuit is another unfortunate situation where someone is trying to take advantage of the Spears family and make a name for himself. The Department of Children and Family Services conducted a proper investigation surrounding Mr. Flores' accusations and have closed the case without any further action. Ms. Spears and her attorneys have every expectation that this matter will be dismissed by the courts. Source: BritneySpears.com
An attorney for Britney Spears' ex-husband called child abuse claims leveled at the singer by a former bodyguard baseless and motivated by money.
Fernando Flores, who worked on the singer's security detail, sued Spears on Wednesday claiming sexual harassment and intentional infliction of emotional distress. His lawsuit claims Spears repeatedly exposed herself to him and that he witnessed her punish her young sons with his belt and act inappropriately in front of them.
Kevin Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told The Associated Press that Flores' accusations had been looked into before the suit was filed and warranted no action. He said Federline takes any allegations of abuse or wrongdoing regarding the former couple's children seriously.
"He is satisfied that the allegations are a product of economic motives," Kaplan said. "They are as baseless as they seem."
Federline has custody of the former couple's sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, but Spears has substantial visitation with the boys.
Kaplan said if Federline believed the children were in danger, he would have stepped in already.
He noted that Flores' lawsuit was leaked to online news outlets before the suit was filed. "I think that the timing of this and the nature of the allegations speak for themselves."
The lawsuit, which seeks unspecified damages and includes several lurid allegations of Spears allegedly exposing herself to Flores.
Spears' publicist Holly Shakoor did not return e-mail messages seeking comment on the case.
The lawsuit claims that Spears, among other things, exposed herself to Flores and summoned him to her bedroom while she was naked.
The bodyguard's employment with Spears appeared to be brief — his court filings state he started working for her in February and had "exhausted his administrative remedies" with a state agency by July.
Flores also sued his former employer, Advanced Security Concepts Corp. A woman who answered the company's phone Wednesday declined to comment and refused to be identified.
Spears remains under a court-ordered conservatorship in which her personal and financial affairs are controlled by her father and an attorney, and monitored by a judge. The conservatorship has prevented Spears from being deposed or testifying during previous cases in which she was sued.
Despite a high-profile custody battle, Spears and Federline reached an agreement in 2008 and neither side has sought changes to the custody arrangement in nearly a year, court records show.Source: Yahoo! News
