Britney Spears' Dad -- Bargain Basement Tour Director

Jamie Spears is going to court to get some serious money for directing Britney Spears' Femme Fatale Tour that kicks off today in Sacramento, CA... but turns out he'll be the best bargain in town.

TMZ has obtained legal docs that Jamie has filed with the judge in Britney's conservatorship case ... asking the judge to give him money for directing the tour and managing the logistics of the tour.

Jamie has not specified the amount of money he wants, and sources tell us it hasn't been calculated yet. Sources tell us the amount will be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, but it's crazy cheap for what Jamie is doing.

To give you some perspective, 5 people managed the 2009 Circus Tour. Although the amount they made is blacked out in the legal documents, we were able to discern the amount is in the 7 figures.

With Jamie on board for the Britney Spears/Nicki Minaj Femme Fatale Tour, 3 of the 5 positions will be eliminated. Thus, if Jamie gets a 6 figure salary for the upcoming 8-month world tour, everybody wins.

Whatever Jamie gets for the tour ... it will be in addition to the $16,000 a month he's pulling in for serving as Britney's conservator.

Britney Spears Files Suit in Stinky Perfume Case

Britney Spears is firing back at the perfume company that is suing her -- in the form of her very own lawsuit against the company.

Britney has filed a cross-complaint, claiming Brand Sense was all about radio silence when it came to accounting for how much money she was supposed to get for the sale of a perfume -- Radiance -- she was hocking. And there was a lot of money on the line, Brit claims -- millions of bucks worth of the fragrance were sold.

Brit says Brand Sense withheld Britney's share of the proceeds for months, failing to pay her interest on the delayed payments.

Brand Sense is suing Brit, claiming she cut them out of her deal with Elizabeth Arden. Britney says Brand Sense was not cut out of the deal.

Britney Spears -- Not Competent to Take Oath

Britney Spears' lawyers are trying to block her deposition in a perfume lawsuit, because they say she's not legally competent to give sworn testimony.

Brand Sense Partners is suing Brit for $10 million, claiming she had a deal with the company but pulled a double-cross by trying to cut them out of a lucrative project with Elizabeth Arden.

Brand Sense wants to take Britney's deposition, but Brit's lawyers have so far refused, on grounds Brit is under a conservatorship and can't be forced to testify without the approval of the conservatorship's attorneys.

No word on whether the attorneys for the conservatorship will sign off on the depo, but Brand is tired of waiting and is now asking the judge in the perfume case to order Britney to sit for the deposition.

Britney Spears Signs Nicki Minaj for Concert Tour

It's official. TMZ has learned ... Nicki Minaj will be Britney Spears' opening act for her upcoming concert tour.

Sources involved in the negotiation tell TMZ ... the deal was signed several days ago, and Britney is elated. Everyone involved in the concert is relieved Enrique Iglasias' ego couldn't handle opening for Britney and feel Nicki will be infinitely better.

Minaj, who is on tour with Lil Wayne until the end of the month, currently has two singles on the Billboard Top 100 -- "Moment 4 Life" and "Did It On'em"

Everyone connected with the concert series thinks Nicki will create even more heat for the tour, which kicks off on June 17 in Sacramento, CA.

TMZ broke the story Nicki and Britney were in serious negotiations.
Right after we posted that story, the comments and emails were almost unanimous that Nicki is an infinitely better choice than Enrique.

Britney Spears -- Gimme Nicki Minaj!

TMZ has learned Britney Spears has lasered in on Nicki Minaj as her opening act for the upcoming concert tour ... and lawyers for the two are in "serious talks."

We're told it's looking very good that Nicki and Britney will reach an agreement in the next day or so.

Nikki would take the place of Enrique Iglesias -- who bailed at the last minute because his ego could not take opening for Britney.

Nicki is currently on tour with Lil Wayne -- those concerts end on April 28. Britney's tour begins June 17 in Sacramento.

Britney Spears Sued for Alleged Perfume Fraud

Britney Spears allegedly defrauded a company that hooked her up with Elizabeth Arden in a deal that made Britney a fortune ... this according to a $10 million lawsuit obtained by TMZ. Brand Sense Partners, LLC claims it had a deal with Brit in which the company would get 35% of Britney's profits in return for securing a perfume contract with Elizabeth Arden. According to the suit obtained by TMZ, Britney and her dad defrauded Brand Sense by entering into a secret deal with Elizabeth Arden, allegedly robbing Brand Sense of millions in the marketing of her perfume, Radiance. The suit claims Brand Sense caught Jamie "red-handed" in circumventing their deal. The lawsuit seeks more than $10 million in damages. No response yet from Britney's camp. Source: TMZ

Enrique Iglesias: My Ego Couldn't Handle Britney

Enrique Iglesias dropped out of the upcoming Britney Spears concert tour because his ego couldn't handle being her opening act ... multiple sources connected with the tour tell TMZ.

We're told lawyers and agents for Britney and Enrique were hammering out an agreement for weeks, and the terms were finessed to make Enrique appear to be a co-headliner. We're told both sides agreed to the deal and that's why the announcement was made Tuesday.

But just hours before Britney's camp went public, Enrique was burning up the phone lines and the Internet, engaging various people connected with the tour in lengthy conversations in which he made it clear -- he was, in reality, Britney's opening act and he wanted out.

One source says the deal was actually very favorable to Enrique ... "great terms and great placement." But we're told it all came down to taking the stage before Brit -- too much to handle.

Dr. Luke Sues Bellamy Brothers

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

Britney Spears' songwriter just launched a legal counter-attack over her number 1 hit "Hold It Against Me" -- suing The Bellamy Brothers for publicly claiming the song is a rip-off.

In a federal lawsuit filed today, Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald says The Bellamy Brothers launched a "smear campaign" by claiming Brit's hit -- co-penned by Gottwald -- was just a knockoff of their 1979 song ... "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me?"

Gottwald also claims the Brothers' attack was "a publicity stunt aimed to increase their record sales ... and to combat their dwindling relevance." Ouch.

In addition to damages for defamation ... Gottwald wants a court order stating once and for all Britney's song has nothing to do with the BB's song.

The Bellamy Bros. rep didn't immediately return a call for comment.

Britney Spears -- The Financial Explosion

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

Britney Spears has just learned .... it pays to have a conservatorship, and pays VERY well.

TMZ has obtained legal documents in the conservatorship case, showing that in December 2008, the assets controlled by Britney's conservators totaled $2,826,362.68.

Now get this ...TMZ has learned ... exactly one year later -- in December, 2009 -- the assets controlled by the conservators swelled to $27,500,000 ... almost a 10 fold increase in 1 year.

Most of the gains came from Britney's wildly successful Circus Tour.

As for the assets at the close of 2008, there's an interesting breakdown. Britney's "furniture and equipment" was valued at $1,551,026. Her jewelry, furs and antiques totaled $264,988.

Now the figures are deceiving. The conservators only control a portion of Britney's total estate. She has a lot of money and property in various trusts and other business entitites, which the conservators do not control.

Britney Spears Scores Six-Figures Off Music Video

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

If Britney Spears made half a million dollars from product placements in her new music video ... would you hold it against her?

Sources connected to Britney's video tell TMZ ... Spears netted a cool $500,000 for various product placements in her "Hold It Against Me" video.

We're told the dating site Plentyoffish.com, one of several companies featured in the vid, forked over "a couple hundred thousand" to feature their site on Brit's computer during the vid and saw immediate results ... a 20% spike in traffic the day after the video premiered.

Audio Expert: Britney Recording Was 'Manipulated'

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

A highly-respected audio expert tells TMZ ... Jason Alexander's recording of the woman he claims is Britney Spears "has been electronically stepped on."

Tom Owen of OWL Investigations, and Chairman of the Audio Engineering Society Standards Committee of Forensic Audio, tells TMZ, the tape was "doctored" to such a severe extent, there's no way to conduct a meaningful voice-recognition test.

Owen says the tape has been "stepped on at least 3 times." With noise reduction, equalization and removal of voice qualities such as natural timbre, sibilance and tonal qualities, it's impossible to determine whether Britney's voice is on the tape.

Owen says Britney has a "very vanilla voice" and that with manipulation it wouldn't be that difficult to make someone sound like her.

Britney Spears -- Conservatee for 2011

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

Britney Spears will ring in the new year under her long-standing conservatorship .... sources tell TMZ.

We're told there are no plans to end the conservatorship, which was created in February 2008.

And, it's not bad news for Britney. We're told she's "content" with the current arrangement and is no longer antsy to end it.

Britney is actually under two conservatorships -- one to care for her, and another to take care of her business affairs. As for the latter, it will probably remain in place for a long time, because Britney Spears, Inc. has never run more smoothly.

As for the personal conservatorship ... we're told no one involved -- Britney included -- wants to end it.

Britney: I Need Protection from a 'Shake Down!!'

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

The people in charge of Britney Spears are asking a judge to protect her from a potential "shake down" by a former bodyguard who they believe could release info that may put Britney in danger.

It all has to do with a lawsuit filed by Fernando Flores, a former bodyguard who claims the pop star sexually harassed him by, among other things, walking around her home in the nude.

Flores wants the case tried in civil court -- but Britney's conservators are concerned that Flores will use the public forum to release private information to extort a settlement out of Britney.

In new legal docs filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Team Britney begs the judge to move the case to a probate court, where all of the accusations could be kept from the public ... and protect her from a "shake down."

The conservators also believe, "There is a real possibility that Ms. Spears will be exposed to danger by the release of confidential and personal information."

A hearing on the matter is scheduled for the end of the month.

Britney Spears -- Millions of $$$ on the Move

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

Britney Spears worked hard for her money, now she wants her money to work for her ... with the help of some big shot financial advisors.

It seems Brit has "several million dollars" laying around in a trust account that isn't making nearly as much money as Brit's conservators believe it should.

So the conservatorship went to the courts -- asking for permission to give control of the money to financial advisors at Merrill Lynch and UBS Financial Services ... to invest the cash as they see fit.

According to documents filed at L.A. County Superior Court, the judge signed off on the move -- and Brit's money will be stimulating the economy in no time.

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

Under the category ... hired help costs a frickin' fortune ... Britney Spears is being sued by a former nanny who claims she's owed $35,202 for one month's work.

Ferial Zaltash claims Britney hired her as a personal assistant and nanny to her children in September, 2007. Zaltash claims she resigned a month later.

For that month, Zaltash claims Spears owes $35,202 for nanny and personal services. The suit claims Zaltash made a demand for payment but Brit refused.

Zaltash also wants $19,940 for penalties for unpaid wages and overtime.

Britney Remains Under Conservatorship...For Now

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

Britney Spears had a "very nice conversation" with the judge about the status of her conservatorship ... this according to Judge Reva Goetz ... but Britney is still under a conservatorship.

The judge just took the bench a few minutes ago and said, "At this time all orders will remain in full force and effect."

TMZ just told you ... the judge has discussed ending the conservatorship with the lawyers over the last few sessions, but for now it's not ending.

The judge said she met with Britney and Jamie individually.

And there was a petition to approve the "investment strategies" of Britney's trust, and the judge gave the green light.

Britney Spears -- Not-So-Conservative Conservatee

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

Britney Spears just left court after meeting with the judge in her conservatorship case ... and baby's got back.

Sources tell us ... Judge Reva Goetz has discussed ending the conservatorship with the lawyers during the last few court hearings, although no decision has been reached.

Judge Goetz requested the meeting with Britney today, and they had a sit-down in her chambers.

No word on how close the conservatorship is to ending, but we know this clue -- someone will file a petition to terminate it.

We'll let you know ...

UPDATE: Britney's dad, Jamie Spears, was present in the chambers when Britney met with the judge about her progress. Jamie just left the courtroom -- minutes after Britney.

Britney Spears -- Queen of Disneyland

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

Britney Spears played the easiest card in the parenting book today -- she took her little munchkins to Disneyland -- and we're told she had her run of the place.

Our spies tell us the Dumbo ride was shut down so that Britney and her little ones could have the ride all to themselves. Notice how the people are waiting patiently for their turn.

We're told Britney -- who was there with both kids, plus boyfriend Jason Trawick -- traveled throughout the park with lots of security around them.

'No Signs of Britney Abusing Sons'

The following italicized article is from www.radaronline.com:

Social workers made a visit to Britney Spears' home as part of an investigation by the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services that the singer abused her two sons, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

The blockbuster development comes after Spears' former bodyguard, Fernando Flores, allegedly claimed that the pop star abused her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James last March or April.

Flores told a British tabloid that Britney asked Flores for his belt, and then he says he witnessed her abusing the boys.

Flores didn't get into specifics about any alleged injuries, or if one or both children were targeted.

Now RadarOnline.com has learned that a complaint was lodged against Spears, forcing DCFS to investigate.

A Spears family insider tells RadarOnline.com, "Social workers visited Britney's house recently about the alleged abuse allegations. Under California law, anytime anyone makes a report to child protective services, a welfare check is required to be made under law to further investigate.

"It doesn't matter who has made the claim, or how outlandish it may seem. During the visit by officials, there was absolutely no signs of abuse. The boys are happy well adjusted toddlers that love their mama and Britney is fiercely protective of them.

"The investigation is 95 percent complete and no further action will be required. All that is essentially going to be done at this point is for the paperwork to be finished and then the case will be closed."

Flores is described to RadarOnline.com as "an opportunist seeking his 15 minutes of fame. Flores is a former disgruntled employee that is trying to take advantage of Britney."

Britney and K-Fed were spotted at the boys' pre-school graduation together last week.

The family insider says, "Britney and Kevin parent the children together, and they have developed a very healthy relationship that truly enables the boys to thrive. They are united in parenting the boys and trying to raise them in as normal environment as possible.

"If Kevin thought for one moment that the boys were in harms way while they are with Britney, he would immediately go to family law court to have the situation addressed and dealt with. Britney is rarely alone with her sons, usually her boyfriend, Jason Tarwick, is with her during their visits, or her dad is there."

There has been absolutely no action by K-Fed or Britney regarding any custody issues with the boys, RadarOnline.com has confirmed with public records with the Los Angeles Superior Court system. The last time there was any movement was in September 2009, and that dealt with one of the parents getting one more day of visitation per week.

This isn't the first time DCFS has investigated Spears. Back in 2007, her former bodyguard, Tony Barretto, had a two-hour meeting with officials from the office and his attorney, Gloria Allred.

Barretto claimed to witness Spears using drugs, and was concerned about her then erratic behavior. Barretto requested that a formal investigation be opened into the matter. Spears eventually lost custody of her sons in early 2008 after she was placed under a psychiatric hold.

Spears has flourished since being placed under conservatorship, and she essentially has joint custody of her sons.

In 2006, when Spears was still married to Federline, a nanny accidentally dropped then 7-month-old Sean Preston, and he subsequently hit his head. DCFS visited the Spears household after Brit and Kevin took their son to the hospital and concluded there was no evidence of abuse, and no further action was taken at that time either.

Source: Radar Online

TMZ has learned a former, part-time security worker for Britney Spears contacted the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services, claiming Britney abused her sons, but his timing raises suspicions.

Sources say Fernando Flores claimed Britney whipped one of her sons with a belt. Flores made other claims that Britney abused both sons. But sources tell us Flores did not utter a peep for more than a month after he was let go.

A source close to Britney and her family tells TMZ, "The allegations made by Fernando Flores are absurd." The source adds, "Flores was never an employee of Britney. He was never an employee of the Spears family. He worked part-time for a security company."

And sources say Children Services investigated -- as they must -- and determined the claim had no merit.

Source: TMZ

Claims from Britney Spears's former bodyguard that the pop star allegedly hit her two sons with a belt are false, sources tell PEOPLE.

"Britney is quite the opposite – she doesn't discipline them enough and she will do anything to keep the boys happy," says one source close to Spears. "There are issues with Britney, but her abusing the boys are not one of them."

Fernando Flores told a British tabloid that he had witnessed Spears, 28, hitting her children, Preston, 4, and Jayden, 3, in March or April 2009, but another source tells PEOPLE the allegations are untrue.

"It's ridiculous what the guy is claiming. It never happened," says the source.

The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services sent social workers to the singer's home, according to RadarOnline, but the visit was routine since California law requires a welfare check anytime a report is made to child protective services.

"Everything is fine," says the second source. "Britney has done nothing but be a great mom to her kids."

Spears's rep did not return requests comment.
