At the Friday hearing attended by both of Britney’s parents, Jamie’s attorneys had requested a conservatorship, which would allow him to make medical decisions on behalf of their daughter as well as control her finances.
The hearing underscores the growing tension between the Spears family and Sam Lutfi, who has acted as the primary liaison between the singer and her doctors.
In a telephone interview with Us Thursday, Lutfi blasted the Spears' parents.
“Oh boy, her family is crazy!” he said. "It’s just so sad."
