Adnan Quits Over Sex Tape

Britney Spears' ex boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, says he's quitting his job as a paparazzo and going into hiding over 'sex tape' claims surrounding the former couple.

The Brummie snapper told Heat magazine, 'I have had many calls about it from all over the world…In light of the constant calls about the sex tape and threats, I'm taking a break from the industry and keeping a low profile.'

Britney's Comeback Plans

The following italicized article is from www.ok-magazine.com:

Gone are the pink wigs, ratty hair and fake british accent the world has come to associate with Britney Spears. In their place, a fresh faced, natural brunette who has been reporting to work, making regular visits with her sons and seems in general, to be focused on taking her life back.

On March 24, the once reigning pop star made a highly anticipated cameo appearance on the CBS sitcom, How I Met Your Mother. Her performance was so good, she managed to wow not only the audience, but her co-stars as well.

"The only thing scandalous about this is how un-scandalous it all is," says HIMYM co-star, Josh Radnor, of Britney's appearance on the show.

Playing Abby, the nerdy receptionist, the bit part is just one of the baby steps the singer seems bent on taking to get back in fighting form. As she begins to rediscover herself, she seems to also be rediscovering her love for dance.

In addition to teaching kids at Millennium Dance Complex, the singer has been rehearsing alone, stopping in for two hours at a time to learn a chair routine for her new song, Hot as Ice. Sources say Britney may even want to open her own dance studio in the future and is considering The Dome, a 25oo sq. foot section of Millennium, currently closed.

Even Brit's father, Jamie Spears, seems to be loosening up on his rules---a bit.

"Britney is addicted to driving," An insider tells OK!. "Initially, her father wouldn't let her drive at all, but he knows how much she loves it and it calms her, so he's softened the restriction. He now lets her toodle around the block in her gated community."

Video - Break The Ice

Now is the Hot As Ice music video the second part in which the real Britney, the one that was freed in Break The Ice, will take on?

My opinion on the video is that Britney was fighting through it to free herself. Fighting with the press, paparazzi, people who have a bad influence on her and her life, her demons... to just let the real Brit out. Victory. It's what it says at the end of the video. And she escaped right on time.

If you look at it carefully, you'll see that it's very symbolic.

Brit's Comeback: One Step at a Time

The following italicized article is from www.eonline.com:

Britney Spears is getting serious about her comeback.

I got word over the weekend that she’s reached out to a former collaborator, dancer Leo Moctezuma. According to a source, the two spoke on the phone last week, but they didn’t get into details about any one particular project.

“They’re supposed to talk again this week,” my source said.

Moctezuma was a dancer on two Spears tours: Dream Within a Dream and Onyx Hotel. He also worked on her videos for the singles “Overprotected,” “I’m a Slave 4 U” and “Me Against the Music.”

And he is one in-demand dancing hottie. To find out who else Moctezuma has worked with, click below for today’s Planet Gossip Now videoblog.

E! News reported last week that Spears is working on a video for “Hot As Ice,” a single from her recent album, Blackout, and reportedly wants dancer Andre Fuentes to choreograph some of the fancy footwork.

Britney Spears Comeback is Underway

The following italicized article is from www.pr-inside.com:

The rumor is over the weekend she's reached out to a former collaborator, dancer Leo Moctezuma. According to an Actorvist source, the two spoke on the phone last week about working together, but they didn't get into details about any one particular project.

Moctezuma was a dancer on two Spears tours: Dream Withina Dream and Onyx Hotel. He also worked on her videos for the singles 'Overprotected,' 'I'm a Slave 4 U' and 'Me Against the Music.'

Actorvist reported last week that Spears is working on a new video for 'Hot As Ice,' a single from her recent album, Blackout, and reportedly wants dancer Andre Fuentes to choreograph some of the fancy footwork.

Fuentes and Spears have previously worked together when he appeared as a backup dancer in several of her music videos, including "Slave 4 U" and "Oops I Did It Again."

Nevertheless, a source close to the Spears camp stated that Fuentes cannot be officially hired for the gig until Jamie Spears signs off on him.

"Now that a lot of the drama is behind her, she's really getting serious about making a comeback," the source said. "Once she gets working out more in the studio, the pounds will come off," the insider added. "They always do."

Britney Gets a House Call

The following italicized article is from www.eonline.com:

Look who's in the zone.

Two UCLA psychiatrists paid Britney Spears a house call at her Beverly Hills residence Saturday afternoon, one week after a court commissioner granted the "Baby One More Time" songstress permission to see sons Sean Preston and Jayden James for the first time since Jan. 3.

A source tells E! News that Spears' bodyguard escorted the doctors from the Westwood-based medical center to her home in the posh, gated community of Summit Circle at approximately 2 p.m. They subsequently met with her for two hours before departing around 4 p.m.

No word on the nature of the checkup.

However Mark Vincent Kaplan, the attorney for the popster's ex-hubby Kevin Federline, told E! News last week that as part of her agreement to retain visitation rights with her kids, Spears is obligated to undergo "custody evaluation" by medical experts among other requirements.

The "Toxic" singer's privileges were reinstated after a deal was hammered out between Federline's camp and lawyers for Luce Forward, the law firm which is handling Britney's temporary conservatorship for her dad, Jamie Spears.

A court awarded the elder Spears the conservatorship on Jan. 31, giving him control over her assets on the very same day his 26-year-old daughter was forcibly admitted to UCLA's psych ward on a 5150 hold. She remained there a week before quietly being released.

Since regaining face-to-face contact with two-year-old Sean and 17-month-old Jayden, Spears has reportedly seen them on three occasions since last Saturday. But not without supervision. A court-appointed monitor, her father, K-Fed's security guard and an attorney for Luce Forward were on hand to observe the visits.

Meanwhile despite her recent personal travails, Britney has been trying to put her pop star skills to good use beyond nightclub appearances. Two hours after meeting with the psychiatrists, she turned up at the Millennium Dance Complex and taught an hour-long dance class for kids.

And nearly six months following her disastrous performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, Spears is also reportedly on the comeback trail.

The "Gimme More" purveyor has purportedly been holed up in a North Hollywood dance studio rehearsing moves for a new video for her next single, "Hot as Ice," off her latest album, Blackout, which is set to shoot in the coming weeks.

Britney Headed Back in the Zone

The following italicized article is taken from www.eonline.com:

For better or for worse, another Britney Spears comeback is in the works.

E! News has learned that the "Gimme More" songstress, who has been logging numerous hours in a North Hollywood dance studio recently, is gearing up to start work on a video for another tune off of her latest album, Blackout.

"She wants to do the single 'Hot as Ice' as her next video and is ready to take the next step," said a source close to Spears. "She's been working a chair routine out in the studio and is ready to animate it."

To get herself camera-ready, Spears is going to start rehearsing up to four days a week and is looking to hook up with some top local choreographers.

The 26-year-old divorcée, who spent another three hours at home with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James Thursday morning as part of her new visitation arrangement, is "very clear" and focused on her dance training, the source said.

While her much maligned performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in September was also referred to as a comeback, the troubled popster—who at that point hadn't yet lost joint custody of her boys—apparently was fated to face far more serious issues before she could worry about the ol' song and dance.

"Now that a lot of the drama is behind her, she's really getting serious about making a comeback," the source said.

And what of Spears' physique, which as all of her critics know isn't quite what it was back in her heyday?

"Once she gets working out more in the studio, the pounds will come off," the insider added. "They always do."

Spears saw her children for the first time in nearly two months on Saturday, although, per the deal hammered out by attorneys overseeing her father's conservatorship and longtime Kevin Federline counsel Mark Vincent Kaplan, mother and sons were far from alone.

Jamie Spears; a lawyer from Luce Forward, the firm handling his coconservatorship of his daughter's estate; and one of Kevin Federline's security guards were on hand Saturday and are believed to have been present for another visit Monday, as well.

The promo for 'Break the Ice' - Britney's third single from her bestselling album 'Blackout' - is scheduled to be shown on MTV's 'Total Request Live' (TRL) on Monday (25.02.08).

The TV guide listing for 'TRL' revealed: "We're going to snitch a look at 'Break the Ice', the next music video from a way-under-the-radar performer by the name of Britney Spears."

Britney has been training at Los Angeles' Millennium Dance Complex in preparation for the video shoot.

Mother-of-two Britney is determined to get her career back on track, and is reportedly planning a world tour to showcase her new material.

A source close to the singer recently revealed: "Britney will be leaving the country in the next few weeks, after training in privacy for a month. She is planning a global tour."

Britney Spears Steps into Dance Class – As Teacher

The following italicized article is taken from www.people.com:

Britney Spears has class – dance class, that is.

The 26-year-old singer – who's in the midst of a custody battle over her own kids, Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1 – logged some quality kiddie time Monday, teaching dance an hour-long dance lesson to a group of six children.

"The class was amazing," Robert Baker, director of the Millennium Dance Complex, tells PEOPLE.

In addition to choreographed routines to vintage Madonna songs "True Blue" and "Material Girl" and "Holiday," Spears – wearing ripped fishnets, red boy-shorts and a blue top – also allowed her pupils to free-style dance.

"She even played age-appropriate games in a circle, pretending to be a choo-choo train," Baker said. "Britney was just amazing with the kids and everyone ended up having a blast. At the end of the hour class, all the kids hugged Britney and she seemed very happy."

Kids 'Thrilled'

The kids, aged 4 to 7, were selected from the studio's junior program. "The parents gave their permission," Baker said. "They were thrilled. One parent summed it up: 'It's a once in a lifetime event.'

" Well, maybe not. Spears had so much fun, "She asked to please teach a class tomorrow," said Baker, a longtime Spears friend. "We plan to put together a group of about 20 kids for her."

After the class wrapped up at 7 p.m., Spears – who has rehearsed at Millennium three times since Friday – spent another hour and a half working on a dance routine for her single "Hot as Ice."

"She seems very focused about getting back into her old life," said Baker. "[She's] focusing her energy on creating and dancing."

“Break The Ice” Promo CDS Released; Next Single?

Despite media reports that “Hot As Ice” was Britney’s next single, it now seems that “Break The Ice” will be the song the world will be listening to for the next few months.

A promo CD has been sent out, including the album version and instrumental. Unfortunately, there’s no radio edit, which I think the song needs to be a single.

Another hint that it’s the next single is that the song jumped 201 places in a day to #91 on the Mediabase US radio airplay chart.

Note that the single cover isn’t confirmed, but the one above was added to eBay shortly after the CDS leaked.

Britney: "More Focused Than Ever"

The following italicized article is from www.ok-magazine.com:

Could Britney Spears be turning things around? For more than a year, the pop star's career comeback has been completely overshadowed by her personal problems — divorce, custody battles, public breakdowns, rehab and hospital visits — but those who have watched the singer rehearse for her latest video tell OK! that she's working harder than ever.

"She's incredibly focused now," explains Robert Baker, owner of Millennium Dance Studios, where Brit has been refining her dance moves for the upcoming video shoot for her song "Hot as Ice." Baker has been in the studio with the 26-year-old mother of two during her rehearsals and says that the woman he's seen kicking up her heels is a "whole new Britney."

The dance routine for "Hot as Ice" will be one of Britney's famous chair numbers — the kind she made famous in her video for her hit "Stronger." And it's rumored that the now-infamous "nip-slip" caught on camera during her rehearsal Sunday night might actually play a part in the "Hot as Ice" video — though it's unclear how much skin Brit intends on showing.

Of course, Sunday night's dance rehearsal wasn't Britney's only sexy stopover of the evening. Before heading to rehearsal the singer and pal Sam Lutfi had stopped by the Hustler Store on L.A.'s Sunset Strip, where unlike past visits when Brit picked up revealing clothes, she left with only a necklace — and a sandwich.

Following the rehearsal, Brit and Sam joined her cousin Alli Sims and a friend for a late-night showing of 27 Dresses. Eyewitnesses who spotted Britney leaving the theater tell OK! that the singer was teary-eyed as she left the theater.
