Lynne Spears Helps Britney With Her Boys

It was a family affair Saturday as Lynne Spears hung out with Britney and her sons Preston and Jayden for an overnight visit at the star's Studio City home.

In town since Wednesday, Lynne and Britney have been enjoying some mother-daughter bonding, shopping at the True Religion warehouse and Pottery Barn on Friday before enjoying a "girls dinner" of salad, sushi rolls, and fish at Bond St. restaurant with two of Britney's pals.

"Britney walked in with a big smile and introduced her mom to the staff," says an observer. "She looked gorgeous, and I have never seen her in a better mood. She was laughing the whole time she was here. Britney seemed to have the best time hanging out with her mom and friends."

Meanwhile, dad Jamie spent the weekend at his new house in Santa Monica.

Producer: Britney's New Album Is "Real Aggressive"

The Britney Spears Comeback Express is operating at full speed and thus far hasn't had any bumps along the way, according to Rodney "Darkchild" Jenkins.

After a seven-year break, the producer is collaborating with the Britster again on her next album and is determined to "reinvent" the pop star with some edgy new sounds.

"I'm just trying some new things. I've always worked with Britney," he tells Rap-Up TV. "I love working with her. I'm just trying to reinvent her and reinvent myself with her project."

The two only started working four weeks ago, but have already laid down a few tracks and samples, described to be "very dance-y, very uptempo, in the clubs, real aggressive, and catchy...very, very hook-friendly."

Rodney was most impressed with the 26-year-old's professionalism and efficiency.

"It usually takes people a long time to record songs and we just did a song. She walked in at 8:30 and was out by 10:30 -- did the whole song -- in and out," he says.

The album is due to hit shelves in 2009, and with things continuing to look up for the singer, Rodney thinks it's definitely going to be the Year of Britney once more.

"I was very happy to see that she was working on the positive side and she's moving toward new things now," he says. "I think it's about to be her time again."

Here’s some good news to start your morning - our cameramen report that Britney Spears had her first court-allowed overnight visit with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James last night!

Our photographers spotted Kevin Federline’s bodyguard dropping the boys off at 6 PM last night. We believe that Kevin’s on his way for a celebrity golf tournament today.

Sean and Jayden weren’t Britney’s only visitors yesterday, though - her manager Larry Rudolph stopped by around 1 PM. In fact, our guys never saw Brit leave her house all day!

This is great news - we may have been thrilled by Britney’s good day on Monday, but this is even better!
