American Music Awards 2008: Kevin Federline Fears for Britney Spears?
The following italicized article is from www.nationalledger.com:Will her performance at the American Music Awards go well for Britney Spears or will the pressure get to her? A report from in Touch Magazine this week notes that Britney Spears may have her life back on track at the moment, but her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, worries that with her American Music Awards show appearances and the upcoming album release and spring tour, the pop star will be unable to handle the pressure.
Kevin knows how fragile she is and feels that she shouldn't be pursuing her career at the expense of her mental health and therefore at the expense of the kids," an insider reveals to In Touch. "He's asked her not to go so fast and has been sharing his concerns."
But according to the report Britney really wants their sons, Sean, 3, and Jayden, 2, to join her on her promotional tour in Europe in December. And so far, Kevin, 30, isn't causing trouble. "The boys may be able to go to Europe and she will comply with whatever the conditions are to make it happen," another insider says.
When Jayden was recently rushed to the hospital because of a reaction to something he are, Britney, 26, feared Kevin would be angry, but an insider says he doesn't blame her. "He wants her to be with her kids and is enjoying time alone for once," the insider says. "Everyone around her rally hopes the tour will work out."

Madonna Tries To Tempt Britney To Kabbalah
With her divorce settled, pop diva Madonna is focusing into converting more A-list stars to kabbalah, and her latest target is troubled singer Britney Spears. The 50-year-old has already converted actress Gwyneth Paltrow to the controversial Jewish-based faith that she follows. Now she is attempting, for a second time, to persuade Britney to follow suit, reports said.
Madonna's friendship with Spears ended when the troubled singer announced after the birth of her second son, Jayden James: "I no longer study kabbalah. My baby is my religion."
But once again Madonna has rekindled her friendship with Spears.
"Madonna is determined she can get Spears back into kabbalah. She has offered her a suite of rooms at her apartment in New York and has told her that she is her surrogate mother. Spears used to wear the red kabbalah bracelet and read the books Madonna gave her and she is thinking about giving it another chance."
However, Spears' spokesman neither confirmed or denied the news.
"Spears wouldn't really comment on that, it's just a case of wait and see what happens," said the spokesperson.
Madonna also apparently plans to take her new friend, baseball star Alex Rodriguez, and Spears to Malawi next year in the hope they will make donations to the kabbalah centre she has set up there.

Britney's Circus Is A Ring Masterpiece
The following italicized article is from www.dailystar.co.uk:PLAYLIST has had a world exclusive listen to Britney Spears’ new album Circus.
I am the first journalist to hear the record, out on December 1, in full and I am thrilled to report the pop princess is on startling good form.
The 26-year-old explained the title, saying: “It’s me as an entertainer, and what I do, and what I bring to a show is basically like a circus.
“I bring costumes and fun theatrical things that make people just look in awe and everything tells a story on stage and makes people want to watch it more.”
Here is my track-by-track rundown. Watch out for Brit’s performance on The X Factor on November 29.
WOMANIZER VERDICT: 9/10
Ace synth-tastic slice of electro-pop. The lead single follows on nicely from Britney’s Blackout album.
CIRCUS VERDICT: 9/10
Britney’s next single observes that: “There are two types of people in this world, those that entertain and those that observe.” With a wall-of-sound chorus being as glam as a Kylie corset it’s easy to see which box she ticks. A true funfair.
OUT FROM UNDER VERDICT: 7/10
The more up-tempo of two ballads, but still stock-pile the tissues as its Brit’s answer to Daniel Bedingfield’s If You’re Not The One. A pain-driven ditty about an unsalvageable relationship.
KILL THE LIGHTS VERDICT: 10/10
An introduction announces Britters as the “Queen Of Pop”. This is a follow-on from previous single Piece Of Me, where she gets revenge on paps. Brit teases: “Make sure you catch me on my good side – pick one.” This attitude-infused floor-twirler has serious single potential.
SHATTERED GLASS VERDICT: 8/10
Another cheating fella, another track that sees more questions being asked than Mastermind. Brit does her best bunny-boiler impressions declaring: “My face is going to haunt you all the time.” Featuring an *NSYNC Pop undercurrent, the vocals break up towards the end thanks to a knob-twiddling wizard.
IF YOU SEEK AMY VERDICT: 10/10
This is a Brit naughty. Prepare for a cold shower as this is her raunchiest tune yet. Featuring big “la la” hooks as an intro, it’s reminiscent of Pink’s So What. A carnival-esque chorus features cheeky giggles and naughty wordplay.
UNUSUAL YOU VERDICT: 6/10
A mid-tempo disco track about angels.
BLUR VERDICT: 7/10
A saucy tale of trying to remember a night of passion.
MMM PAPI VERDICT: 10/10
A retro feel and Gwen Stefani-like rap segments equals yet another killer tune. Brit squeals her love for a sugar daddy while slowing the rhythm down to bizarrely declare: “I’m mammi/And that makes you Papi/And that makes us luvvi.”
MANNEQUIN VERDICT 7/10
Every male fantasy is fulfiled when Britney transforms into a real-life Barbie to demand you wash and dress her. Drops down to an instrumental section midway.
LACE AND LEATHER VERDICT: 8/10
This is vintage Madonna and name-checking red lips and cotton candy kisses ensures it’s hotter than Brit’s Oops I Did It Again catsuit.
MY BABY VERDICT 8/10
The ode to sons Jayden and Sean is an eye-watering morsel. Sweet vocals trill over ivory-tinkling and acoustic guitar as Britney sings about: “Precious love”. Sob.
RADAR VERDICT 9/10
Electro number featured on Blackout and, like chocolate pud, is a delicious second helping.

Britney Set For 10 Gigs In The UK
The following italicized article is from www.people.co.uk:Britney Spears is to make her UK comeback next summer with a spectacular tour.
She will unveil her concert plans just before performing her new single Womanizer on next Saturday's X Factor.
The song - already a chart-topper in the US - is set to storm our charts when it is released tomorrow.
And her new album Circus comes out a week later - the day before her 27th birthday.
Cry A source said: "She is so excited about performing on X Factor because it will prove she's back on form.
"It makes perfect sense to reveal her tour plans at the same time."
The UK leg on her multimillion-pound world tour includes TEN dates at the 02 Arena in London as well as concerts in Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow. Brit - who won two MTV Europe music awards earlier this month - will also play Dublin and a string of major cities on the Continent.
It's all a far cry from 18 months ago when Brit ran amok after losing custody of her sons Sean, three, and Jayden, two, to ex-hubby KEVIN FEDERLINE, 30.
The singer shaved off her blonde hair, was hospitalised twice and made headlines round the world by attacking a photographer's car with an umbrella.
But now she's set to reclaim her "princess of pop" crown.
Our source said: "There is no doubt about it - Britney is back.
"And she is hoping the new tour will erase the bad memories of her last one when she lip-synched the whole thing."

Britney's Busy Day
The following italicized article is from www.x17online.com:After Britney Spears left Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday, she headed home with her entourage, and of course, her father Jamie. We know Brit's not a fan of the paps anymore, but you'd think she would be a little bit happier than this! I mean, she's got an album coming out, a comeback tour, numerous TV appearances, and she's looking fantastic, so what's there to be miffed about?
Brit stayed at home for about an hour, and then she headed to the International Dance Academy in Hollywood. The pop princess has really been busting her butt lately, so we're definitely eager to check out her new dance moves!

Larry Rudolph: Britney's Amazing
The following italicized article is from www.latimes.com:Whose idea was it to do a documentary?
It evolved out of a conversation that Britney and I had five or six months ago where the big question was what she was going to do in terms of talking to the public, presenting herself to the public. She really wanted to be able to tell her story, talk about where she's been, where she is today and where she is going. She wanted to do it very honestly, but on her own terms. I think there is a part of her that is tired of allowing the media to guide her image and her story. She wanted to tell that story herself.
What was the turning point for her? When did she decide she was ready to try again?
There just came a moment where she decided to get up, brush herself off and move forward. She had hit a low point in her life. She realized that and everybody else realized that. She wanted to get to a better place.
One thing that struck me in the footage shown was that she didn’t always seem very happy. She looked sullen during quite a bit of it. Why do you think she keeps going? She's putting out another album, going on tour…
I think she keeps going because she knows there's a beginning, middle and end to this. She realizes that there are better times ahead. She's already in a much better place than she was not that long ago and she knows that she's going to be in a better place a month from now, six months from now, a year from now, etc. That's what keeps her going. She's doing what she loves right now. Every day she's found more happiness in her life.
In the documentary, she talked about how scheduled and structured her life has been. She still seems pretty busy now. How have things really changed for her?
There was a stretch where she became very unbusy in terms of her career. I think she got into some trouble because maybe she had too much free time on her hands. She likes to work. In many ways, she's defined by her career. Getting her career where she wants it to be now is a big part of who she is.
You've known her since she was a child, but at one point, Britney let you go. Now you're back working with her again. Why have you stuck by her throughout everything?
It hasn't really been a rocky relationship. The reality is we stopped working together right around when she got married to Kevin because she wanted that. She didn't want a career at that point. She wanted to have kids and take on a new phase of her life and she did. Then we got back together for a short period of time last year, which was a very difficult time for her. And really she was not in a position at that point to do what she's doing now. Then she decided it was time to pick herself up and move forward and I came back.
Was there any hesitation to continue working with her after the ups and downs?
I've known this girl for over half her life, since she was 13. We have a very close friendship, but it's sort of hard for me to explain my relationship with her. It's a friendship, it's a business relationship, there are some paternal aspects to it. We get along very well. I understand her better than everyone other than her immediate family. There's a shorthand we use in terms of dealing with each other that just works. The bottom line is I think she's amazing. I love her. She's been a big part of my life, and I've been a big part of her life. Being a part of this new phase in her career is something I was very open to.

Britney Spears Doc Shows 'Where She Is And Where She Is Going,' Manager Larry Rudolph Says
The following italicized article is from www.mtv.com:Britney Spears' longtime manager Larry Rudolph has been by his client's side as she stages her comeback with the release of Circus and her documentary, "For the Record" (premiering on MTV November 30).
"I was very involved in putting [the film] together, so I saw the process," Rudolph told MTV News on Thursday night at a media preview of the film in Los Angeles. "It was a very interesting process. We made a deal from the very beginning — everybody sort of shook hands with the understanding that there were going to be no boundaries on this thing. We were going to make an open and honest film and that we weren't going to leave the good stuff on the cutting room floor.
"We went there with it," he added. "You see Britney in a light you're not used to seeing her in. She's intelligent, she's introspective, she's honest. By the end of the film you really understand who she is in a way that you just never imagined. ... It is so not a puff piece."
Rudolph, who is credited with shaping Britney's early career, wouldn't speak about how he and Spears reunited after a falling-out in 2007. At the time, many speculated that she fired him for encouraging her to enter rehab.
Focusing the conversation on the doc, Rudolph insisted that it shows everyone what he already knows about the singer: "She's got a unique set of talents. She's got a blend of certain talents. She's a great singer. She's a great dancer. She's got an amazing image. She's incredibly likable," he listed. "She's got this intangible thing that makes her a star."
"For the Record" is part of the game plan for reintroducing Britney, the pop star rather than the tabloid magnet, back to her fans, Rudolph said. The movie makes a case for Spears' future, by giving the audience "a good taste of the music and where she is and where she is going."
The next step in Brit's comeback is a video for the album's second single, "Circus," shot by "I'm a Slave 4 U" director Francis Lawrence, set to debut around the release of the album on December 2. "It is amazing," Rudolph said. "The video is extraordinary. It is really, really good."
Although Blackout came out only a year ago, Rudolph said that this was an organically right time for her to put out new music again. "It wasn't that there was a rush," he explained. "The album got completed on its natural timetable. And it just was the right time to put it out. So we decided to put it out on her birthday and make it a birthday present to her and to the world."

Britney Back In Court
The following italicized article is from www.jfxonline.com:Britney Spears made an unexpected appearance today at a hearing concerning her plans to tour next year. Her father Jamie controls her affairs due to a conservatorship arrangement. Court spokesman Allan Parachini said during a brief press conference after the hearing:
“There isn’t a lot I can tell you about it. There was discussion of Ms. Spears’ future immediate business plans. Particularly touring in support of her album… It was about the tour professional. She has an album that is coming out. All of what is necessary to support the album.”
Dad Jamie seemed to be handling Britney rather roughly as he shielded her face from the photgraphers outside the courthouse. Meanwhile, her assistant picked up her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James from pre-school.

Brit is with her dad and a bunch of Sheriff's deputies. The conservatorship lawyers are there as well.
As soon as she cleared the metal detector, she asked where the bathroom was. No 76 stations at the courthouse.

Britney's Manager Says She's Ready for a Comeback
The following italicized article is from www.people.com:Although Britney Spears admits in a new film that she "totally lost my way, lost focus, lost myself," that won't stand in the way of her comeback, says her manager.
"She's definitely ready," Larry Rudolph tells PEOPLE, following a sneak peek of Spears's riveting MTV documentary, Britney: For the Record, airing Nov. 30, in Santa Monica, Calif.
"She loves to work," he says. "She's a very strong person. Everybody goes through setbacks in their lives. [But] every day, I see her getting happier and stronger."
One of her biggest victories this year? Regaining visitation with Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, her sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
So while her musical comeback is important, Spears has made it clear that motherhood comes first, says Rudolph.
"Her kids and balancing her life with her kids is an incredible priority – the No. 1 priority in terms of how I operate with her," he says.
Spears's boys can be seen in the film, which follows the pop star over three months as she records her upcoming album Circus, wins big at September's MTV Video Music Awards, and speaks frankly about her problems – including her failed relationships with Federline and Justin Timberlake.
The idea for the candid documentary sprung up during a conversation Spears and Rudolph had over dinner several months ago.
"It evolved and became a question of, What will she do? What will she say? How will she say it?" he says. "How will people view her after what she's been through and after all that they've seen in the tabloids over the past year or two?"
Adds Rudolph: "This became sort of a great way for her to say what she needs to say on her terms."
