Britney Fans Get Engaged On Stage!

The following italicized article is from www.ok-magazine.com:

Talk about finding a guy who listens: Britney Spears fan Robert knew his girlfriend Zoyla wanted her wedding "to be like a circus with a ringleader, acrobats and magic tricks," so he tells BritneySpears.com he wanted to propose to her during her L.A. show on April 16, and bam! Done.

The Brit fan says he contacted her manager, Adam, who helped him set the whole thing up.

"I sent him a message on Tuesday telling him about my plan," Robert tells her official site. "He replied on Wednesday, but I hadn't read it until Thursday at noon. I replied but didn't think he would get in touch, since it was only 8 hours to the show. I was out with a friend having lunch when at 4:30 p.m. my cell phone rang; it was Adam. He told me he thought it was a great idea and wanted to do it. I had 2 hours to get everything done; ask her parents for permission, get her grandmothers ring, think about what to say and get us to the venue."

Robert told her their tickets had been upgraded to explain why they were in the VIP section.

When the time came, he simply asked Zoyla if she trusted him, and took her up onstage after the Pussycat Dolls performed.

"Once I was up there, I asked everybody to listen up. My first line was interrupted by the crowd's screaming, which was overwhelming and gave me a lot of energy and confidence," he says. "By this time my fiancée was in tears and shaking. I went down on my knee and asked her if she would marry me, she said yes, we kissed and I put on her ring."

Aww!

As for their wedding plans, the couple is definitely sticking to their theme.

"The plan is to save up enough money to have our own little circus for our friends and families just like my fiancée has always wanted it," explains Robert.

Who says chivalry is dead?

FHM's 100 Sexiest Women In The World

#4 Britney Spears

Like a slightly unhinged chameleon, Britney Spears can change her appearance at the drop of a hat. From schoolgirl to diva, through doting mother to... well, yes, there may have been a slight blip when she and K-Fed split, what with the hair shaving, bingeing and showing off the contents of her 'purse' to all and sundry. But Britney's stormed back up the list and - after a rumoured £60,000 makeover - she's looking, if not her best, then a pretty good approximation of what she once was.

A rep for Brit Brit tells PerezHilton.com exclusively that Spears is not sperminated.

"She's absolutely not pregnant," one of Spears' managers, Adam Leber, tells us. "I have no idea why Seacrest would say that. We have communication with him and he could have checked this."

Closing Arguments Heard in Britney Restraining Order Case

The following italicized article is from www.people.com:

After three hours of closing arguments Tuesday, no ruling was made on whether to extend a restraining order against Britney Spears's ex-manager Sam Lutfi and attorney Jon Eardley.

The singer's father Jamie, who initially filed the request on Jan. 30, alleges that both men have continuously harassed his daughter, adding that Lutfi smuggled a cell phone to her at a hotel.

Samuel Ingham, a court-appointed lawyer for the pop star, 27, told Judge Aviva Bobb, "My client's situation has improved dramatically over the last 14 months. [A permanent restraining order against them] is in my client's best interest ... She has suffered emotional distress."

Bryan Freedman, a lawyer for Lutfi, 34, has denied his client committed any wrongdoing, saying Lutfi was merely responding to Spears's "cries for help," alleging she was seeking to overturn her father's legal control over her life. "Not one threat or act or violence was directed at Britney Spears," Freedman argued.

An attorney for Eardley, Roger Diamond, continuously questioned the validity of Jamie's conservatorship, and argued that Britney authorized Eardley to represent her, although a court has previously ruled that Spears "lacks the capacity" to hire her own lawyers.

The hearing will continue on April 28.

No Testifying in Britney's Future; Other Side Says She's "Crying Out for Help"

The following italicized article is from www.eonline.com:

Though obviously fit to be the family cash cow, Britney Spears still doesn't have the goods to testify in open court.

The pop star will not be required to take the stand in her conservatorship's ongoing quest to obtain permanent restraining orders against her former manager, Sam Lutfi; attorney Jon Eardley; and her ex-beau, Adnan Ghalib.

"There was a finding of a judge of the Superior Court that she lacks the capacity to testify," Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Akiva Bobb said after hearing closing arguments Tuesday, upholding a 14-month-old ruling that Spears isn't mentally fit to make her own legal decisions.

The temporary restraining orders against all three men were extended until April 28, when the judge will hear rebuttal arguments before making a final decision.

Eardley's attorney, Roger Diamond, filed a motion April 10 to compel Spears to testify before closing arguments were made, but there was no sign of her at the courthouse today.

It's unclear whether the 27-year-old singer, who just played four dates in L.A. and Anaheim, is still in SoCal at the moment. Her Circus tour touches down in Oakland Wednesday night.

In his remarks today, Diamond argued that Spears wanted Eardley—who is said to have collaborated with Lutfi last year to help Spears fight what was then a brand-new conservatorship—to help extricate her from father Jamie's control.

"Britney Spears is crying out for help," Diamond said.

Whatever, the Spears' legal camp said, calling the two men "predators."

Britney 'Not Ready For Relationship'

The following italicized article is from www.digitalspy.com:

Britney Spears is reportedly unable to commit to a relationship because she is still struggling to overcome her failed marriage with Kevin Federline.

The singer, who is currently on her 'Circus' world tour, has allegedly laughed off constant speculation that she is looking for a serious boyfriend.

"[Britney] says it's going to take many, many more years to completely detox from being married to Kevin," a source told Heat.

"She still says being Mrs Federline was the biggest mistake she's ever made."

Speculation that Spears plans on marrying John Sundahl, who she has been linked with in the past, has been labelled "ridiculous".

"Britney doesn't want to do anything until the tour is over," the source added.

"She wants press for her tour and not for an engagment. The idea that she'd actually want to marry someone is ridiculous."

Spears releases her new single 'If U Seek Amy' on May 4.

Britney Is In Control

The following italicized article is from www.ocregister.com:

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is coming to Staples Center in July, but Britney Spears beat them to it by bringing her circus/freak show to the same arena Thursday for a two-night stand.

And it was indeed a freak show.

But unlike the freak show that doubles for the pop singer's real life, this one was intentional.

For those wondering if the show that is her life would take the life out of her show, you need not wonder anymore.

Britney's got game.

Although early reviews of this tour were mixed, it looked Thursday night as if Spears got it together for her adopted hometown (she opened the tour in her actual hometown of New Orleans). Perhaps it was her two young sons in attendance that inspired her, but she looked healthy, her dancing was spot-on and her lip-synching was genuine. The 90-minute concert was…well, it was a show.

Created with a circus theme to promote her "Circus" album, the show took place on three connected stages built to resemble a three-ring circus. The singer started the concert in ringmaster garb, complete with lion-tamer's whip, and changed costumes so many times that Cher must have turned over in her walk-in closet.

It was Britney's first arena tour in five years, and the first since her very public meltdown that has seen control of her own life taken out of her hands. But she was clearly in charge at Thursday's show, and one might assume that she intended to make a statement to that effect.

The sold-out arena contained no doubters. They love Britney so much that it hurts.

I swear that the group of young men in front of me forcibly squeezed their heads when Britney came out as if they were trying to keep the gray matter from exploding from their skulls. The young women behind me shrieked so loud, I thought my gray matter was going to explode from my skull.

The audience had a smattering of tweens and very young girls with their parents, but an overwhelming majority were women in their 20s who grew up with the 27-year-old pop star, and young men from the dance club scene. In other words, it was pretty much Madonna's crowd.

And that was no accident. The Madonna influence was obvious, from the sensual dance numbers and leather costumes to the playing of Madonna's "Ray of Light" just before the start. During a video segment, the crowd was treated to a quick cut of the infamous Madonna-Britney kiss on the MTV Video Music Awards.

But the crowd is clearly in Brit Brit's camp now. Whenever a member of the Pussycat Dolls, the opening act, mentioned the words "Britney" or "circus," the crowd went crazy. When fans discovered that Britney's boys were sitting in the sound booth in the loge level, every camera turned in their direction.

And that was a lot of cameras, folks. It seemed as if all 20,000 fans had cameras with them, and those cameras were trained on Spears the entire show.

I should note that by the time the concert took a turn toward darker material and racier themes, the kids had already been taken from the arena.

A half-hour before the concert started, while roadies were setting up the elaborate circus set, the stage was filled with assorted clowns, jugglers, acrobats, unicyclists, strong men, men on stilts, little people in costume, contortionists and magicians.

In other words, it was a typical night at Britney's.

Oops, I did it again.

Once the show began, the crowd leaped up as one, and didn't sit down for the next 35 minutes. It was only when Britney announced a slow number that the crowd sat. But that didn't last long. It was the last slow number we'd hear. Mostly, it was a high-energy dance show, interspersed with pyrotechnics, rising and lowering platforms and music videos.

The inclusion of those videos was interesting because Britney Spears, more than almost any other artist, is a child born and nurtured during the music-video age. At one point, there was a break to give the singer a chance to change and for a new set to be erected. A Britney music video was shown on a overhead screen and, later, the singer's entire professional life was shown in a montage of her music videos. It was like a greatest hits segment, and audience members cheered their favorites.

Taken as a whole, the show really worked. It was well-paced and entertaining, and contained no lulls. I don't know that any pop music show is worth this kind of money (my seat was in the $150 section, and I had a nice view of the $500 seats below), but nobody was complaining. Everyone seemed to feel they got a lot of bang for their bucks, and that says a lot in this economy.

I would imagine that, on some level, there was also a collective sigh of relief. These last few years, with all the drama that surrounded the singer's well-documented divorce, custody battles and court-ordered hospitalizations, have not only been tough on Spears, but on her fans as well.

They came out to support her, and finding her strong and in control was a bonus.

Sam Lutfi Tones Down Attack on Britney Spears

The following italicized article is from www.eonline.com:

Oops…he did it again.

Britney Spears' former manager/sidekick Osama "Sam" Lutfi has filed an amended lawsuit against the pop princess, toning down the rhetoric from his original complaint but still making the same basic accusations: chief among them that mother Lynne Spears slandered him; father Jamie Spears assaulted him; and that the "Toxic" singer still owes him money for services rendered.

Acting on behaf of his daughter's conservatorship, Jamie Spears obtained a temporary restraining order against Lutfi back in January to keep him out of her life.

On Feb. 3, Lutfi fired back with a lawsuit that included salacious allegations about her parents leeching off Britney.

That led to Team Spears to file a petition asking the court to toss out the first seven pages of Lutfi's complaint, claiming the blistering charges were really a "calculated attempt to exploit the court system" to make public assertions that "no factual or legal moorings."

Among the finer details in dispute: "every aspect of [Britney's] life and more importantly, her fortune, has been controlled by her parents" and that the parents were losing control of their daughter, which "posed a serious threat to Jamie and Lynne" and their supposedly lavish lifestyles.

Such language was excised from the updated filing last Thursday, according to Lutfi lawyer Bryan Freedman, to "clarify" his client's accusations against the popster.

"We think the amended complaint sets forth our claim in a more clear fashion," Freedman tells E! News. "There were certain allegations that we wanted to clean up. "We felt [the language] provided some real background but we removed it...as far as the legal claims we're seeking, it was irrelevant."

Jamie Spears' attorney, Joel Boxer, could not be reached for comment.

While all this plays out, a judge could decide as soon as tomorrow to make permanent the restraining order against Lutfi and attorney John Eardley—ruling which Freedman said he will appeal should they come out on the wrong side.

Freedman also expressed a desire to bring Spears in from her Circus tour to explain why, if Lutfi was such a nuisance, she didn't file her own restraining order against Lutfi before her father took control of her affairs.

"I think if she testified we'd at least understand the truth whether she suffered substantial emotinal distress from Sam or whether she was reaching out and Sam helped her," the attorney added.

The Spears estate recently obtained a permanent restraining order against Britney former paparazzo paramour Adnan Ghalib, which will remain in place for three years.

Britney Spears 'Betrayed' By Ex

The following italicized article is from www.chinadaily.com:

Britney Spears feels "betrayed" by Kevin Federline.

The singer is reportedly furious with her ex-husband - with who she has two children, Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two - after he proposed to current girlfriend Victoria Prince because she still has feelings for him.

A source close to Britney - who is rumoured to be dating her backing dancer Chase Benz - said:

"Britney's face fell when Kevin told her he had proposed. She's been flirting with her dancers and has a thing going on with Chase but she still loves Kevin and always hoped they'd get back together.

"It wouldn't surprise me if her flirting with other guys was purely to make him jealous."

Britney - who divorced Kevin in 2007 - is said to be particularly concerned with the amount of time Victoria will be spending with her sons.

The source added: "Britney's not keen on Victoria. Victoria gets on really well with Sean and Jayden and sees more of them than Britney because they live with Kevin.

"I don't think Britney saw her as a threat until Kevin proposed but now she will be stepmother to Britney's kids and that doesn't make her happy."

Pop star Britney Spears is being persuaded by singer Jessica Simpson to join her for a new TV sitcom.'The Dukes of Hazzard' star has approached Spears with the idea of teaming up for a buddy comedy like beloved series 'Laverne and Shirley,' the female first website quoted the Globe."

Alleged Britney Stalker Says it Was a Joke

The following italicized article is from www.ok-magazine.com:

File this under "yeah right": The woman arrested by police yesterday outside Britney Spears' home peering into her windows with a video camera, Miranda Tozier-Robbins, says the whole thing was a joke.

“The whole thing — it was all a joke in the beginning, everybody knew about it," Tozier-Robbins, 26 tells Access Hollywood. “It was supposed to be like a ‘Paparazzi 101’ documentary type deal.”

Despite being clothed in a camouflage outfit, she says she decided to trespass on Brit's Calabasas, Calif. property on the spur of the moment.

“What originally was supposed to happen was, I was going to tape whatever I could get. I would be like, far away doing a stakeout,” Tozier-Robbins told host Billy Bush. “It didn’t work out as planned, so when I was already halfway there in the mountains [around Britney’s home], it was already Wednesday night/Thursday morning ... I already knew Britney herself wouldn’t be there, but it’s like, I came that far, I might as well go see the house, at least get the house on tape, because I know people would be interested in seeing stuff like that.”

Oh sure, might as well! “It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, you understand? She’s coming through on the tour, on the stop, it’s like take your chance. Take the opportunity, do it,” she laughed.

Laughing, that's a good one! We're sure the judge will accept that.

Even if the whole thing was a "joke," Tozier-Robbins is just fine with being called a stalker.

“Yeah, sure. That would be a fair term to use. Tracking, stalking, whatever, for a couple weeks long,” she said. “It wasn’t really stalking her, it was more plotting out how to get to her house.”

And the difference is...?

According to reports, Tozier-Robbins auditioned for American Idol in the past, and one time sang Brit's song "Everytime." Cue the creepy music.

Britney To Play In Ireland?

The following italicized article is from www.independent.ie:

Britney Spears is set to announce two monster Irish summer gigs.

It has been reported that final negotiations are under way to bring her to Dublin this summer for several huge gigs in the RDS.

Her concerts in America have been going down a storm as she performs a string of 49 smash-hit dates as part of her Circus comeback tour.

It is now widely speculated that the pop princess will add Irish tour dates to the end of her British tour, which consists of 8 gigs this June. "It's more a case of when and not if," said an insider. "She'll be playing a load of dates in London's O2 in June so the general belief is that she'll also be adding two Irish performances to her tour.

"Her management team know they'll have no problem selling tickets for her show in Ireland as she's so popular over here, so it's a bit of a no-brainer. She performed at the RDS the last time and she thought it was an amazing venue and suited her kind of show perfectly."

Spears’ lawyers recently discussed the prospect of expanding the performances to include Australia and extra dates in Europe. She is expected to get the go-ahead to play Melbourne and Sydney along with several other locations as she continues to re-ignite her pop career.

Britney has hardly been out of the headlines in the past 3 years. She suffered a complete meltdown which resulted in her being admitted to hospital, and losing custody of her two young boys to her ex-husband Kevin Federline. Although now she is being hailed as making one of the most impressive comebacks ever, with fans giving her standing ovations.

However, if Irish fans are hoping to see her perform in a few months time, they better start saving up their cents now if the English prices are anything to go by.

For tickets at her London gigs prices start at £49 (€55) and go as high as £1,300 for two VIP passes, which get you a backstage tour and ‘ringside seats’.

As well as getting a birds-eye view of Britney's performance, you'll also get VIP parking, finger buffet and drinks and various gifts and goodies.

Britney Chirps Off L.A. Drivers

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

How does Britney Spears get off using motorcycle officers to clear a path on an L.A. freeway during rush hour so she can get to a concert and lip-sync?

Britney foot the bill for a CHP escort yesterday that took her 28 miles, from Calabasas to the Staples Center in Downtown L.A. TMZ's news manager was on the 101 freeway at around 6 PM -- about four miles north of Staples -- when he heard the chirping honk of a motorcycle, directing him to move the hell over so Britney's motorcade could steamroll by.

How can officers use horns and flashing lights to clear a path in a non-emergency? That's what we wanted to know. So we called a CHP official who said the Department provides the same service for the President, Rose Bowl teams, for movie details, etc.

But what about officers chirping off other drivers to clear a path? The official said the officers "can use the tools at their disposal, including lights and sirens, to expedite the flow of traffic and ensure safety."
