Britney to the rescue!

The singer takes on cyborg-esque attackers in her animated new music video "Break the Ice," which premiered Wednesday.

"Since Britney has been otherwise occupied, this was a creative and fun way to do her next video," a source told Usmagazine.com.

For those who want to see Spears in person, the singer is scheduled to play a dorky receptionist on the March 24 episode of CBS' How I Met Your Mother.

"Britney’s not playing a version of herself," Mother creator Craig Thomas tells Us. "I think that’s part of what appealed to her."

She was spotted on the sitcom's L.A. set, along with her mom, Lynne, today.
