After making a big splash in the Bahamas the day before, Britney Spears emerged Saturday in Amite, La., where she made a low-key appearance as an "honorary" bridesmaid at the wedding of her cousin, Laura Lynne Covington.

"When her brother walked her down the aisle, she looked stunningly calm and beautiful," says one wedding guest. "She was very pretty, low-key. She was not the center of everything, just pretty and calm and collected.”

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, the whole Spears family got together over the holidays - as Bryan married girlfriend Graciella Sanchez, who also happens to be Jamie-Lynn’s manager.

“The doctors weren’t able to immediately identify the problem, but later determined Jayden had suffered an allergic reaction to something he’d eaten,” says a source. The “something” was shellfish, a member of Kevin Federline’s family tells OK!.

“Jayden’s had a sensitivity to shellfish in the past, although he’s never been formally tested for it. He has been now,” the source continues, adding, “Britney was extremely upset.”

Thankfully, Jayden was released from the hospital and able to return home to his family on the evening of Nov. 10.

Before the medical crisis, the family, including Britney’s sister, Jamie Lynn, 17, her fiancé, Casey Aldridge, 19, and their 5-month-old daughter, Maddie, were catching up with the star. With the Dec. 2 release of her album Circus, Britney is set for a huge comeback.

Minutes later, two cars tore out of the Spears' 'Serenity' residence.

The first, a Lincoln Navigator, carried Britney, her mum Lynne and dad Jamie as well as the poorly toddler. A Range Rover driven by Jamie-Lynn also carried their brother Brian.

When the convoy reached the motorway, Jamie-Lynn reportedly thwarted following photographers by refusing to let them pass.

She drove slowly alongside another vehicle to keep them back while her sister accelerated away.

When snappers arrived at the hospital, which is now being manned by police, Britney and her son had already dashed inside.

'Jayden James had to be kept in hospital overnight for observations,' said the source. 'We don't yet know what's wrong with him.

I speculated that Brit Brit might be spending the rest of the month thru Thanksgiving at home in Kentwood, LA but it turns out that that is not the case. BritneySpears.com has been updated with new rehearsal photos (shot in SoCal) and news that Britney will be spending Thanksgiving in Europe because she will be performing on Star Academy in France on November 28. Britney Spears will be celebrating Turkey Day overseas. The singer — who returned home to Kentwood, Louisiana, on Friday with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James — will perform on the French show Star Academy on Nov. 28. “Looks like Britney will be spending her Thanksgiving holiday in Europe!” reads the announcement on BritneySpears.com.

She just keeps chugging right along with this amazing comeback of hers. Clearly, she’s making sure to take things one step at a time but her schedule is filling up fast and she is showing no signs of stopping. I think this visit home to Kentwood will be nice and relaxing for her … which is prolly just what she needs before she heads off to Europe to wow her fans there. In addition to a performance on Star Academy in France, Britters is also scheduled to perform on X-Factor in the UK … then her album will be released on December 2. And the second reason for the family getaway is so Sean and Jayden get the chance to spend more time their cousin Maddie, the baby daughter of Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge.

Friday's flight to Kentwood comes not even a full day after a revitalized Britney made a not-so-surprise appearance at Madonna's concert in L.A.'s Dodgers Stadium. The duo had the star-packed audience roaring with their performance of Madonna's 1994 hit, "Human Nature."
