Britney Searches For ‘Womanizer’ Dancers

The following italicized article is from www.accesshollywood.com:

Fresh off a stellar appearance at the 2008 MTV VMAs, Britney Spears is hunting for dancers to help her repeat another possible sweep at next year’s festivities.

The pop star was hard at work Wednesday at the International Dance Academy in Hollywood, hunting for dancers for the video for her first single, “Womanizer,” off her upcoming new album, “Circus,” People reports.

A source told the mag the video will start shooting “very soon.”

Brit’s new album is produced by the Atlanta production team, The Outsyders, and has the pop star teaming up with producers Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Danja, Bloodshy and Avant.

“I’m writing every day, right here at the piano in this living room,” Brit told OK! in August. “This is my best work ever.”

As for the sound of “Circus,” Britney said she is working with talented people who are helping her take her songs up to the next level.

“I think it is more urban. I’m working with producers who are just amazing,” she added. “There is this fresh new energy.”

Though Brit is on the hunt for her own video co-stars, she found time to help out the queen of pop, Madonna, guest starring in a video segment for Madonna’s “Sticky & Sweet” tour, where Brit sings an except from Madge’s “Human Nature,” while trapped in an elevator, which Brit fans will get a chance to see this fall when Madge’s tour lands in America.

“Womanizer,” is set to hit radio on September 22 and “Circus” will drop on December 2, which coincides with Brit’s 27th birthday.

Lynne Spears: VMA win gave Britney a boost

The following italicized article is from www.upi.com:

Lynne Spears said she couldn't have been happier that her pop star daughter Britney won three MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles last week.

While Spears was on "Inside Edition" to talk about her new memoir "Through the Storm," she revealed what it was like to watch Britney collect three of the night's top prizes, just a year after she gave a widely panned performance at the 2007 VMAs.

"This was what she needed for that boost of ego," Lynne Spears told "Inside Edition. "You know Britney has gone through a lot and there's no one that deserves it more than her. I couldn't have been happier that night and neither could she. After the first award, she called me and we were just squealing on the phone."

Spears also admitted she doesn't understand why the media attention surrounding her daughter is so intense.

"People are just drawn to her, to watch her. I don't know, I don't get it... but people are mesmerized by her," Lynne Spears said.

Britney Spears Driven to Trial

The following italicized article is from www.eonline.com:

We're guessing this wasn't the kind of Circus Britney Spears was thinking of while plotting her vaunted comeback.

A Los Angeles judge today set an Oct. 15 trial date for Spears for driving with an invalid license, E! News confirms.

But there's a chance that trial may yet be averted, with one last preliminary hearing scheduled for Oct. 8 for prosecutors and the pop tart's lawyers to reach a compromise in the case.

In the latest development in Spears' never-ending legal saga stemming from last year's minor fender-bender, the 26-year-old singer's lawyers met in chambers this morning with Superior Court Judge James A. Steele and Los Angeles city prosecutors.

Afterward, L.A. city prosecutor Michael Amerian told E! News that both sides hope to reach a plea deal to avoid the spectacle of a full-blown trial.

"We're just look for a fair resolution to this. If that means going to trial, it means going to trial," he said.

The "Oops" songbird was rung up in August 2007 after a hit-and-split incident in which she dinged another vehicle while fleeing from paparazzi.

A follow-up investigation revealed that she was carrying a Louisiana license but not a California one, a no-no under state law. Authorities subsequently charged her with a misdemeanor count of driving without a vaild license.

Team Spears had hoped to persuade Steele to dismiss the charge but he rejected the motion earlier this month, paving the way for the hitmaker to stand trial.

No immediate comment from Spears' legal crew.

In happier news, Spears is expected to drop her sixth studio album, Circus, on Dec. 2, which also happens to be her 27th birthday. The first single, "Womanizer," goes out to radio stations next Tuesday.

This weeks poll has closed and here are the results:Stay tuned for an all new poll coming soon!

Britney Spears Heading To Trial Over Driver’s License Case

The following italicized article is from www.accesshollywood.com:

Britney Spears is heading to trial over her misdemeanor driving without a license charge, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

According to a Los Angeles Superior Court press officer, a trial date for the pop star has been set for October 15.

Earlier this week, a lawyer for Spears, Michael Flanagan, told Access Hollywood he was planning to file a petition on Thursday to ask the Superior Court of Los Angeles to accept their proof the star has a valid license. He was hoping to have the case dismissed and for Britney to be able to pay a $10 fee. However, in court today, a judge set the October trial date instead.

The case stems from an August 2007 incident in which Spears was videotaped as she bumped another vehicle while parking her Mercedes-Benz. She left — without leaving a note — after looking over the damage to her car from the fender-bender.

The owner of the other vehicle later filed a police report and Spears was charged a month later with misdemeanor hit-and-run and driving without a valid license. The hit-and-run charges were dismissed in October 2007 after Spears paid an undisclosed sum to the owner.

Flanagan has said that Spears was driving with a Louisiana license that was valid because she owns homes in that state.

Following the incident, Spears passed the required test to obtain a California driver’s license.

Jonas Brothers Are Huge Fans Of Britney Spears, “Clothing”

The Jonas Brothers, like most young men, are an excitable lot. And, based in this video from On Air With Ryan Seacrest, nothing excites them more than Britney Spears songs and clothes. Because they’re actually young girls.

While the Bros can’t confirm the rumor that they’re collaborating with Spears, Nick says it would be “an honor” to work with a singer who’s “a legend at this point.” Kevin’s favorite song of hers is “Toxic,” while Joe sticks with earlier hits like “…Baby One More Time.” Naturally.

There’s no interband friction when it comes to creating a fashion line, though. “[We] definitely would be loving to do that,” says Kevin. “We’re huge fans of clothing, and things like that.”

Joe provides a slightly more specific response, suggesting they’d love “give it a try” to work with “some of [our] favorite designers, like Jay Lindenberg or Marc Jacobs…or Ralph Lauren!”

Hey, why don’t you guys try out for Project Runway next year! You sound like you belong on the Lifetime network more than Disney anyway.

New Trial of the Century -- Bigger than OJ!

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

In a case rivaling the Manson murders, Britney Spears' year-long legal epic will go to trial next month -- all over driving without a valid California license.

You'll recall -- if you have a good memory -- last year Britney was cited because her license was from Louisiana, not California. The case has been to court more than Gloria Allred, but the prosecutor and defense lawyer couldn't settle.

This morning the trial date was set for October 15. Our sources say during the meeting in chambers, the judge said he doesn't want to be criticized for giving Britney Spears special treatment.

The way we see it, she's already gotten special treatment -- screwed over by a nothing case because of who she is.

If this performance actually comes to fruition, it will be the first time that Britney will perform in the UK since her Onyx Hotel Tour visited Londontown 4 years ago:

Britney Spears is set to perform on The X Factor - in her first visit to Britain in four years! It will be Britney’s first visit here since her Onyx Hotel tour more than four years ago. A source from X Factor told The Sun: “Everyone is thrilled. To have Britney involved is a massive coup. Lynne Spears: In Her Own Words

The following italicized article is from www.etonline.com:

It was all across the tabloids over the last year: Britney Spears' life looked like it was spiraling out of control, and the paparazzi crush was capturing every moment of it. Then, it was announced that Britney's 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn was going to have a baby. Now, Lynne Spears is talking to ET's Jann Carl about her world-famous daughters -- and the nightmare of fame -- from the inside out!

"Is it human nature to want to build somebody up so very, very big, and then actually enjoy tearing them to pieces?" asks Lynne in her emotional interview, saying of Britney, "I want her to remember back when she was the happiest person she could be, and be that person. She's almost there now."

Lynne says her daughter Jamie Lynn broke the news to her that she was pregnant by writing her a note. "I blew it," she says about her reaction -- after first thinking it was a joke -- but then faced the challenge head-on: "We got the biggest blessing through the toughest time."

Lynne's new book, Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, is on bookshelves now. It's a mother's story of keeping her faith and keeping her family together. Lynne also gets candid about both her successes and her failures. Did the whirlwind of fame distract her from listening to her mother's intuition?

"I didn't feel very strong," she says. "All I knew was at certain points I had to do what I had to do."

With the opening words, "If you're looking for parenting advice, you've opened the wrong book," Through the Storm is clearly not a collection of advice or a guide to making your kids famous. Instead, it tracks the incredible story of how a mother's encouragement for her children's dreams turned into a nightmare of paparazzi, tabloid exploitation and, for a heartbreaking stretch, a time where she lost the family she loved -- all written while it was all happening.

"I'm more or less a cheerleader," she says. "Did I ever manage my children? No. Did I ever take any percentages of anything they ever did? No, I did not. I really don't know how to do these things."

Ultimately, after all her family's been through, she says, "I just pray for smoother sailing."

Si Tempts Brit Back To Britain

The following italicized article is from www.thesun.co.uk:

BRITNEY Spears is returning to Britain to star on The X Factor.

The pop megastar, 26, will perform comeback single Womanizer on the show in December.

The appearance is her first visit here since her Onyx Hotel tour more than four years ago — and marks her continued recovery after a public meltdown last year.

Thrilled

An insider on Simon Cowell’s ITV1 hit said: “Everyone is thrilled. To have Britney involved is a massive coup. They expect ratings to go through the roof when her performance airs.”

Meanwhile, Britney’s mum has denied pushing her into the limelight — and said she became famous too young.

Lynne, 53, said on US telly: “Britney pushed me. What was I to do? Persuade my child not to go after her dreams?

Ugly

“She was in high school, was the homecoming maid and was most popular. She had everything going for her.

“I could not understand why she wanted to leave such a happy little nest.”

Lynne said everything was “wonderful” during her meteoric rise after 1999 debut hit Baby One More Time — but they weren’t prepared for the “ugly side of fame” which led to her breakdown.
It saw the star shave her hair off and lose custody of her two kids.

Lynne said she did everything she could to help her at the time.

But she thinks twice-divorced Britney, who releases her sixth album Circus in December, is now “headed to the top again”. She said: “We’re through the storm and looking at the sunshine.”

Britney To Perform On The X Factor!

The following italicized article is from www.heatworld.com:

OMG! This could be the most exciting piece of news we've heard all week – Britney Spears is reported to be coming to the UK this year to perform on The X Factor.

The ITV1 show has a history of pulling in the big stars to appear on the live shows, with past artists including Kylie Minogue, Take That and Westlife – but if they have managed to get Britney, then WOW!

Reports say that Brit will come over to the UK to perform her new single Womanizer in December. One X Factor insider revealed, "Everyone is thrilled. To have Britney is a massive coup."

They can say that again. Brit hasn't been over to the UK for almost four years due to her ill health, but it is now thought she is strong enough to face the limelight again. We can't even begin to imagine the excitement if Brit does come over here. It would certainly propel The X Factor into another league. Fingers crossed, everyone!

X17 XCLUSIVE - The Truth About Britney, Paris And Kevin!!!

The following italicized article is from www.x17online.com:

It's time to clear up another rumor!

So you may have heard that KFed cornered Paris Hilton in Las Vegas this weekend and told her to stay away from Britney, well ...

The story goes that Brit's ex bumped into Hilton at LAVO in Sin City and asked Paris to stay way from Brit for the sake of their kids -- don't believe everything you read.

"The story is ridiculous," a source close to BOTH Paris and Kevin tells X17online exclusively.

"Paris was in town with her boyfriend and sister to go to a charity event at the Nevada Cancer Institute and the LAVO grand opening," the source told X17. "She never saw or spoke with Kevin Federline at all. The whole story is complete nonsense. Kevin would never say anything like that."

Story sounded kinda fake in the first place, didn't it?!

So who do you think started this rumor?

Madonna's Striptease Tribute to Britney Spears

The following italicized article is from www.eonline.com:

The Madonna and Britney Spears bandwagon rolls on!

Spears not only appears in a video montage shown during Madonna's latest concert tour, but she's also a source of inspiration in Filth and Wisdom, Madge's feature-film directorial debut about a ragtag group of friends struggling through life in England.

I won't give too much away (the movie comes out Oct. 17), but I will tell you that a pivotal scene involves a stripper dancing to Spears' "Baby One More Time." And yes, said stripper is even wearing—what else?—a skimpy school uniform and pigtails just like Britney wore in the song's now classic music video.

Britney Cuts A Fine Form In LA

The following italicized article is from www.thesun.co.uk:

COMEBACK queen BRITNEY SPEARS has danced herself back to her slimline best.

The sexy singer wowed LA onlookers outside the International Dance Studio in a figure-hugging top and jeans, showing off her fat-free frame.

Yesterday’s sighting of Britney capped an incredible few months, during which she has ditched her wild ways to focus on reclaiming her hot body and career.

She’s currently busy working on tracks for her new album Circus, which is being widely touted as her best LP yet.

Meanwhile, it’s been revealed that Britney’s music talents can be traced back to her British great-grandmother.

Lilian was recruited to dance the jitterbug at the Royal Opera House in wartime London before falling for an American soldier.

Britney’s great-aunt Joan Woolmore – who lives in a terraced house in the capital – told a paper: “We came from very humble beginnings but we were very happy.

"We didn’t have a great deal and we moved around a lot around London – but what both Lilian and I loved to do was dance and play music.”

I don’t imagine songs like I'm a Slave 4 U feature on Joan's present-day list of favourites.

Is There Gonna Be A Tour?!

The following italicized article is from www.x17online.com:

X17online can confirm that Britney was in fact auditioning dancers at IDA in Hollywood yesterday, but we're not sure if it's for a few shows or an all-out world tour. Either way, it's exciting news - it means we'll get to see Brit shakin' it and performing some new songs very soon! We spoke to a few of the potential dancers, but no one was able to dish on when we might be able to see Britney take the stage again.

Though all this dancer/possible tour news is exciting, what's really remarkable is how skinny Brit looks! Though she's definitely dropped some pounds over the past few weeks, this is the thinnest we've seen her in years. It looks like she's getting back down to the size she was when she did her Onyx Hotel tour back in 2004, which is amazing! Also, check out Brit's new necklace with Jayden James and Sean Preston's initials - so cute!

Britney Spears Bans Jamie Lynn's Fiance

The following italicized article is from www.entertainmentwise.com:

Britney Spears reportedly did not want her younger sister’s fiancé Casey Aldridge at her sons’ birthday party that she banned him from showing up to the family do.

Those closest to the Spears family were there to celebrate Sean and Jayden’s birthdays – including sis Jamie Lynn, who flew in from Louisiana with new arrival Maddie.

“Britney had really been looking forward to Jamie Lynn coming with Maddie, but definitely did not want Casey there,” a friend tells In Touch.

Britney has never been a Casey fan, according to insiders, and claims that Jamie’s beau cheated on the Zoey 101 star when she was pregnant haven't brought them any closer.

“Britney just does not like him and everyone knows that. She thinks that Casey is using Jamie Lynn for her money,” adds the source.

Meanwhile Jamie Lynn - who is trying to make it work with her baby's daddy - is said to have enjoyed spending time with her big sister in Beverly Hills.

“It was a good time for her to get away from him and spend time with her family around her,” a friend says.

Lynne Spears: Britney's Fine!

The following italicized article is from www.ok-magazine.com:

In a rare TV interview, Lynne Spears appeared on NBC's The Today Show on Wednesday, where she opened up to host Meredith Vieira about how her youngest child, Jamie Lynn Spears, told her that she and boyfriend Casey Aldridge were expecting a child.

"She hands me a note and tells me to go into the bedroom and read it," Lynne recalled. "It said she was pregnant and everything was going to be okay.... I thought it was a joke. I kept waiting for the punchline."

But after noticing that Casey, who was in the house was the bomb was dropped, couldn't look her in the eye, Lynne realized this was no joke.

"I was in shock... I started to cry," said Lynne, who also revealed that, as a mom, she tends to take the blame for all her children's mistakes on her own shoulders. "What did I do?" she asked herself at the time. "I took all the blame... It's always my fault."

As for her other daughter, Britney Spears, who has seen her life go from the top of the pop charts to the bottom of the tabloid barrel and now once again surging, Lynne says, "She's strong, she's resilient... Britney's fine... She's headed to the top once again."
