Britney Spears To Spend Thanksgiving In Europe

Britney Spears will be celebrating Turkey Day overseas. The singer — who returned home to Kentwood, Louisiana, on Friday with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James — will perform on the French show Star Academy on Nov. 28. “Looks like Britney will be spending her Thanksgiving holiday in Europe!” reads the announcement on BritneySpears.com.
She just keeps chugging right along with this amazing comeback of hers. Clearly, she’s making sure to take things one step at a time but her schedule is filling up fast and she is showing no signs of stopping. I think this visit home to Kentwood will be nice and relaxing for her … which is prolly just what she needs before she heads off to Europe to wow her fans there. In addition to a performance on Star Academy in France, Britters is also scheduled to perform on X-Factor in the UK … then her album will be released on December 2. It’s pretty crazy how fast time is flying by … her new album will be upon us soon. I can’t wait.

Britney Spears Brings Her Boys to Louisiana

Britney Spears arrived Friday in Louisiana with her sons for a family visit to her hometown in Kentwood.
It was the first time the 26-year-old singer was allowed to take Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, out of California since losing all custody rights earlier this year to ex-husband Kevin Federline.
"This is a terrific indication of the progress she's made, and the growing trust between the two parents," says a source close to Spears. "It was arranged cooperatively between Kevin and the lawyers."
Spears made the trip the day after her mini reunion with former boyfriend Justin Timberlake at a Madonna concert in L.A. Spears traveled with her father, Jamie, who has legal control of her affairs.
Since reaching a custody settlement in July, Spears currently has two visits and an overnight per week with her children.
Adds the source: "Britney just wanted to get some family time in and show the boys Louisiana, now that they're getting older."

Britney & Boys Head to Kentwood

It's time for a very special Spears family get-together as OK! has learned exclusively that pop star Britney Spears, along with her father — and her two young sons! — left L.A. on Friday morning to make an early holiday pilgramage to her Louisiana home.
Around 10:30am PT on Friday, the pop star and her young boys, Sean Preston, 3, and 2-year-old Jayden James, boarded a private plane at an airport in Van Nuys, Calif., where they flew with the pop star's papa, Jamie Spears, to Kentwood, La.
This trip marks not only the first time that young Jayden will get to see Serenity, the family home in Kentwood, but also the first time since ex-husband Kevin Federline was awarded physical custody of the boys that Britney has been able to take them out of the state.
Insiders tell OK! that the reason for the trip is twofold. First, so that Britney can have some quiet family time away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood before the release of her new album, Circus, on her 27th birthday (Dec. 2).
And the second reason for the family getaway is so Sean and Jayden get the chance to spend more time their cousin Maddie, the baby daughter of Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge.
Friday's flight to Kentwood comes not even a full day after a revitalized Britney made a not-so-surprise appearance at Madonna's concert in L.A.'s Dodgers Stadium. The duo had the star-packed audience roaring with their performance of Madonna's 1994 hit, "Human Nature."

First 'Circus' Review

BRITNEY SPEARS has never been a shrinking violet and her latest album Circus takes her bravado to startling new heights.
I’m the only journalist on the planet to have heard the pop princess’s latest offering — and one track in particular left me stunned.
The title If You Seek Amy, seems innocuous enough, but it has an entirely different meaning.
It goes: “All the boys and all the girls want to if you seek Amy”. That clearly doesn’t make much sense.
What you hear, though, is the quite shocking statement: “All the boys and all the girls want to f*** me.”
I can’t see LEONA LEWIS releasing anything like that in the future.
It’s a great track. A stomping robo pop number with clattering kettle drums and Brit being quite frank about the opinion she holds of herself.
Kill The Lights focuses on the star’s relationship with the paparazzi, the lights referring to flash bulbs. It’s a brilliant disco banger with an elastic bass line and plenty of spooky keyboard work.
During Kill The Lights Brit addresses her camera-toting tormentors with the brilliant line: “Is that money in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?”
The collection’s title track sees Brit morphing ever closer to MADONNA. Circus has more than a passing resemblance to the industrial hip-hop-powered tracks on Hard Candy.
Her marriage meltdown is tackled on Out From Under and Brit seems mighty relieved to be shot of KEVIN FEDERLINE.
She sings: “We tried everything we could try so let’s just say goodbye forever.”
It’s a stirring break-up ballad up there with the best.
Circus is out on the star’s 27th birthday on December 2.

Confirmed: Britney Performing On Star Academy November 28th
Britney herself has confirmed that she will be performing on "Star Academy," a hit television show in France on November 28th:
"Hey it's Britney Spears. Be sure to catch my performance on Star Academy on November 28th."
Christina Aguilera: 'I Don't Pass Judgment' on Britney

Something Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears must've learned in the Mickey Mouse Club: compassion.
"I don't pass any judgment on what she does," Aguilera tells Britain's Daily Mail. "I always wish her all the best."
Aguilera, 28, dismissed suggestions the two pop divas were rivals.
"When we both started releasing records," she says, "it must have seemed as if we were competing with each other, but, in reality, Britney is someone that I used to hold hands with." The pair started out together on the Mickey Mouse Club, along with fellow Mouseketeer – and future Spears boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
"We were silly little girls together on the Mickey Mouse Club," Aguilera said of the duo's common showbiz apprenticeship on on the Disney Channel. "What a journey it has been for both of us!"
A journey, she says, that only started out at the same place.
"We don't keep closely in touch with one another," she acknowledged. "Our lives have taken on two different directions."

Prop 8: Anything But Great, Says Brit

At last night's Madge concert Britney took a moment to express her views on the recent passing of Prop 8, saying "I am the luckiest girl in the world, but am sad because African-Americans are equal finally, but gay marriage isn't." Britney, I'm sad too!! And I've noticed so are many other celebrities (including Rose McGowan and Christina Aguilera)... just check out the pics and video after the jump to see who, like Britney, voted "No!
Express yourself, don't repress yourself... So says Madonna, and it's never too late to speak up about something you feel strongly about.

Britney and Justin's Mini Reunion at Madonna Concert

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake each took the stage in separate appearances at Madonna's Sticky & Sweet tour at L.A.'s Dodger Stadium Thursday night.
But, PEOPLE has learned, the two actually crossed paths during rehearsal. Timberlake was first, and then Spears came on stage to run through her part. "They said 'hi' to each other. Justin was very cool," a source says.
Spears also lingered and watched Timberlake's entire sound check from the first few rows of the stands.
Adds another source, "This was a night for [Britney] to enjoy, and not stress over. This was a good moment for her to just enjoy and have fun."
And enjoy she did. Dressed in satin black pants and white suit shirt with ruffle, Spears has been appearing in a taped segment during Madonna's "Human Nature" performance since the beginning of the tour. Her "It's Britney, b----!" segment she did live.
Kisses Hand This Time
Madonna greeted her with "Hi Britney!" And Spears, with her blonde hair flowing and red lips smiling, moved to the beat as she sang the last chorus on "Human Nature" with Madonna.
"She's not your b----" Madonna proclaimed, pointing at Spears who replied with her classic line: "It's Britney, b----!"
Madonna had to swing her around three times to get her to loosen up a little bit and, in a far cry from the 2003 smooch, kisses Spears on the hand as her platform sunk below the stage.
"4 Minutes" came on and remixed into "Vogue" as Spears disappeared from view.
Timberlake later joined Madonna to belt out a full rendition of their duet "4 Minutes." Dressed in black pants, a black jacket and scarf he and Madonna really went at it, playing off two dancers, dancing and grinding on each other. The crowd loved it.
"It was great!" a fan told PEOPLE at the show. "They really kept each other going up there. And, wow, only Madonna could bring the two exes together!"

Britney Pulls Out Of Virgin Mary Role In Upcoming Film

Late last year, French film Producer Philippe Rebboah (whose most recent credit is as an associate producer on Amy Redford’s indie film "The Guitar") made headlines by announcing his intention to cast the then chaotic Britney Spears in his upcoming satire "Sweet Baby Jesus."
Production is set to start rolling in Bethlehem, Md., in January — but what happened to the pop princess?
"Britney read the script and she really liked it and really wanted to play the role of Mary," Rebboah told Tarts. "She isn't as scandalous in Europe as she is in the States, and I knew she would do a good job, but [people] were so against it and she was pressured. Then she ran into all the trouble with her family so we mutually decided the timing wasn’t right."
The 1970s film centers around a pregnant 19-year-old who is unsure of her baby's paternity and goes into labor on Christmas Eve in Bethlehem, Md., amid speculation that the birth is Jesus Christ's second coming. Drew Barrymore’s ex-husband Tom Green has just signed on to play Mary's boyfriend "Joe" and will star alongside comedic actress Lily Tomlin and Pierce Brosnan’s son, Sean Brosnan.
But replacing Spears put serious delays on production and the decision-makers have now decided to go with a "real" actress as opposed to a pop personality, 22-year-old rising starlet Alison Pill, who is set to make waves when "Milk" is released this month.
But wait! There is still a chance Miss Spears will still be part of the immaculate film conception.
"Britney was so touched by the script, so we are in talks about having her write and perform the closing number," Rebboah added. "Music of the '70s is a real focus in the film. We don’t want her to do anything religious, but something that captures the beauty of the story."

Unbelievable Week for Britney Comeback!
Britney Spears has been working hard to make a much-anticipated comeback and this week has definitely been one for the records. The formerly troubled singer had a busy week, taking home two EMAs (Europe Music Awards), pranking the paparazzi on her website and making a surprise appearance at Madonna’s concert last night.
The comeback princess stole the Act of 2008 award at the Europe Music Awards, beating out other phenomenal musicians like Leona Lewis, Rihanna, Coldplay and Amy Winehouse. And while she couldn’t be there to accept the awards she was honoured with (she also took home Album of the Year), she did make an appearance via satellite to accept the awards while showcasing a new short, curly hairstyle.
But, just a few hours ago, Spears donned her signature long blonde locks as she shocked audience members at Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet concert. Looking fit and fabulous in wide-legged black pants, stiletto heels and a white blouse, the pop princess proved she’s serious about a comeback.
And to finish off a week of fun, Brit amused fans on her website pulling a prank on the paparazzi , switching the focus from herself to photogs. That’s right, fun-loving Spears has decided to feature a paparazzo every week who will win the award for most amusing act. This week’s feature shows one photog tripping over a plant while trying to film Spears walking. She awards him on her website with Special Achievements in Walking Backwards.
Needless to say, Britney ‘s comeback is definitely in full force. We are excited to see the pop princess back on track and cannot wait for her MTV special on November 30 and her album release (and birthday) on December 2nd.

Britney And Madonna Reunite

Fans turning up for the Britney Spears and Madonna reunion would have been expecting to see the 26-year-old in a typically raunchy outfit.
But instead the 50-year-old Material Girl was the one wearing the more revealing clothes as the pair performed a duet on stage.
The pop megastars looked like they should have swapped outfits as they sang together at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles during Madonna's Sticky and Sweet tour.
A demure looking Britney, dressed in a simple white blouse and black trousers was invited on stage by Madonna and joined in with one of her songs.
And Madonna was also joined by Justin Timberlake to perform their hit duet 4 Minutes.
Rumours that the former lovers Justin and Britney, who split in 2002 after four years, would perform together with Madonna proved unfounded though as they did not appear together on stage.
It's a bit different from the last time Britney and Madonna appeared on stage together.
The pair caused a stir in 2003 when they shared a steamy lesbian kiss live on stage during the opening performance on the MTV Music Awards in New York's Radio City Music Hall.
It's not the first they have collaborated together, with Madonna appearing on Britney's track 'Me Against the Music' on her In The Zone album.
The comeback Queen was pictured last week dressed up as a witch as she took her two sons Jayden James and Sean Preston trick or treating.
She posted the shots on her website, along with the cover art for her new album Circus, which is due out on her birthday on December 2.
And the 'Womanizer' singer is set to appear on the X Factor show in two weeks' time to meet the contestants and perform her new single.
Madonna has thrown herself into her 32-concert Sticky and Sweet tour of the Americas after the announcement of her divorce with Guy Ritchie.
She faces a bitter divorce battle with the film director, with Kabbalah leaders demanding a quick out of court settlement.

Justin Supported Britney Through Rehab

Justin Timberlake supported ex-girlfriend Britney Spears through rehab, according to reports.
It was claimed that Timberlake had little contact with the singer, but friends of Spears have now insisted that the opposite is true.
"Justin has denied all along that he was in touch with Britney, but that was him being a gentleman," a source told MSNBC.
"He was in touch with her and supportive all through rehab - there’s no bad blood and he’s been open to helping her when she was ready and responsible all along."
Spears is said to be keen to work with some of the people who helped her achieve success at the start of her career, with the insider adding: "Britney’s serious about her comeback now - the people who supported her when she was at the top of her game have always been willing to come back when she was serious and ready."
The popstar released new single 'Womanizer' on Monday and scooped two gongs at last night's MTV EMAs.

Stars Come Out to Cheer Madonna & Britney

When Madonna and Britney Spears take the stage together, they have a history of creating memorable moments, like the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, where the superstar pairing heated things up with a three-way, all-girl smooch with Christina Aguilera.
So when it was announced on Wednesday that not only was Brit planning on joining the Material Girl on stage at her Thursday night concert in L.A., but that Britney's ex, Justin Timberlake would be performing too — everyone was wondering if the former lovers would be seen together for the first time in years.
Alas, a Britney/Justin reunion was not in the cards as the onetime paramours each performed separately with Madonna.
First up was Brit, who came out onto the stage at Dodgers Stadium to lend her voice to Madonna's 1994 hit, "Human Nature." The celebrity-filled audience, which included Heidi Klum, Jennifer Lopez, Drew Barrymore, Kate Moss, Ryan Seacrest, Fergie, Lucy Liu and Elizabeth Banks, erupted into applause as the 26-year-old mother of two sang in public for the first time since her disastrous performance at the 2007 VMAs.
"This was a completely different Britney from a year ago," one concertgoer told OK! after the show. "She was glowing! It looked like she actually wanted to be on the stage."
Dressed conservatively — especially by Britney's standards — the "Womanizer" songstress displayed a real onstage chemistry with Madonna, who welcomed her to the stage by slinging an arm around Brit's shoulder. "They were really vibing off each other," says another fan.
And their kinship was made even more evident when Madonna told the crowd, "She is not your bitch," which elicited a laugh from Britney, who added her now-signature, "It's Britney, bitch." As Brit made her exit, the pals stopped to give each other a smooch — on the hand.
