We've gotten word that music producer Rusko, who is currently contributing to Britney Spears' upcoming album, suffered a devastating loss yesterday when his car exploded in his driveway and it set fire to his house!
His home, cars, and studio were destroyed in literally an hour, and although he managed to escape with his hard drive, we're sad to report that all of his Brit Brit demos were lost in the fire!
Unbelievable!
Obviously, we're primarily just thrilled that no one seriously injured, but we can't imagine what it must be like to literally lose everything like that! So horrific!
Our thoughts are with him during such a difficult time.
Hang in there, bb.

Update: A friend of Rusko's tweeted and said Britney's demo's were not destroyed in the fire.

The people in charge of Britney Spears are asking a judge to protect her from a potential "shake down" by a former bodyguard who they believe could release info that may put Britney in danger.
It all has to do with a lawsuit filed by Fernando Flores, a former bodyguard who claims the pop star sexually harassed him by, among other things, walking around her home in the nude.
Flores wants the case tried in civil court -- but Britney's conservators are concerned that Flores will use the public forum to release private information to extort a settlement out of Britney.
In new legal docs filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Team Britney begs the judge to move the case to a probate court, where all of the accusations could be kept from the public ... and protect her from a "shake down."
The conservators also believe, "There is a real possibility that Ms. Spears will be exposed to danger by the release of confidential and personal information."
A hearing on the matter is scheduled for the end of the month. Source: TMZ

The big draw of Thursday's Hollywood Reporter/Billboard Film & TV Music Conference was undeniably producer Dr. Luke, who not only packed the afternoon Q&A session moderated by ASCAP's Randy Grimmett, but got bombarded by throngs of his own fans not a moment after the talk ended. It's a good thing he's spent so much time around megastars like Katy Perry, Ke$ha and Avril Lavigne because he handled the unruly bunch with aplomb, but coming up next is perhaps his most stressful gig yet: as co-executive producer on Britney Spears' forthcoming seventh studio album. Luke's partner? Swedish hitmaker Max Martin, who's been both a mentor and collaborator and has worked with Spears on and off since her 1999 Jive Records debut, ...Baby One More Time. Dr. Luke contributed several tracks to 2008's Circus.
A dream team, no doubt, but with Sony Music seeing a 10 percent drop in sales last quarter, and that's including Usher's platinum-plus Raymond v. Raymond under the LaFace banner, the pressure is most certainly on. "She's such an icon, I don't want to let anyone down," Dr. Luke told THR. "But most importantly, I want to make good music." The LA-based Luke, who's just coming off a repackage of Ke$ha's Animal, says he's just starting to wrap his head around the Britney album now. He anticipates it will be out in early 2011, while an insider tells THR, it will definitely hit stores before March 31, the end of Sony's fiscal year. A Jive Records rep would not comment on a release date or confirm a timeline. Other producer-songwriters said to be working on it include Darkchild and, according to Luke, Montreal newcomer Billboard (listen to a remix Billboard did of Britney's 2009 track "3" at his Myspace page).

Britney Spears leaves a bakery after getting some sweet treats on Tuesday (October 26) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Over the weekend, the 28-year-old pop princess went to the Marmalade Cafe in Calabasas for dinner with her boyfriend Jason Trawick, who left with a bag of leftovers.
Britney took to her blog to stamp a “BS” label to the story that one of her new songs was leaked, which supposedly infuriated her and her executives at Jive.
Britney Spears was enjoying a night out too – at the Mondrian Hotel in L.A. The singer stopped by SkyBar with a younger guy but sans entourage or security. Spears, who sported a green turtleneck, stuck to juice and hung out poolside, occasionally approaching the deejay booth to check out the action as DJ Lindsay Luv spun.

A new track from Britney Spears upcoming album has been leaked months before its planned release, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
The pop sensation plans to release Pleasure You - a three minute tune in which Spears stays true to form and sings about being submissive, a servant and doing whatever it takes to please her man.
The track was played to RadarOnline.com by a source connected to the singer.
The leak has infuriated record bosses at Spears’ label JIVE, who were stunned when informed of the unauthorized release by RadarOnline.com.
"We are totally unaware of the song being leaked," a JIVE rep told RadarOnline.com.
"We don't know how her song or any other artists song could have been released. We're looking into the issue."
One verse of the track is particularly colorful where the pop star sings:
"If you want to get rough in that lay on your back, I got the max suddenly I'll pull you through whatever just to pleasure you."
The song beat is soft and slow, curiously, like that of an R&B song — a monumental shift for the pop starlet.
"We can't discuss details as to if she's working on a new album," the rep told RadarOnline.com.

In Touch claims in this week’s issue that as Britney Spears‘ conservatorship is reportedly drawing to a close, “She’s fired the security team she blames for many of her recent problems.”
Referring to the sexual harassment suit filed by Spears’ former bodyguard Fernando Flores, which the singer is fighting, a so-called “insider” tells In Touch, “Britney felt the old guys knew too much about her baggage from the past… She wants to create a new, confident, independent Britney – and doesn’t want anyone around who remembers what she was like before.”
That same source goes on to say, “Firing her security team is a typical example of her wanting to blame someone else for her problems. She can fire everyone around her but at the end of the day, it’s still going to be the same old Britney when she gets home.”
All very interesting psychobabble – but entirely wrong.
First (and last), Spears did NOT fire her security staff.
A source close to the singer assures Gossip Cop that talk of Spears firing her security team isn’t true.
That’s shocking considering how spot-on In Touch has been with its stories about Spears, including her being Mel Gibson’s secret confidante and her “wish list” of men she wants to date such as Ryan Phillippe, Avatar star Sam Worthington and yes, “The Situation.” Source: Gossip Cop

Getting an early start to the day, Britney Spears stepped out on Tuesday morning (October 19) on her way to grab a coffee in Calabasas, CA.
The pop-princess donned a cute hat and rain boots on the still-dry day, interestingly changing her mind about the java boost mid-walk while turning around to go back to her car.

Britney Spears worked hard for her money, now she wants her money to work for her ... with the help of some big shot financial advisors.
It seems Brit has "several million dollars" laying around in a trust account that isn't making nearly as much money as Brit's conservators believe it should.
So the conservatorship went to the courts -- asking for permission to give control of the money to financial advisors at Merrill Lynch and UBS Financial Services ... to invest the cash as they see fit.
According to documents filed at L.A. County Superior Court, the judge signed off on the move -- and Brit's money will be stimulating the economy in no time.
Jive has submitted ''3'' for the following categories:
Britney Spears Record of the Year – 3 Song of the Year – 3 Best Female Pop Vocal Performance – 3 Best Short Form Music Video – 3
Not sumbitting ''3'' for Best Dance Recording is almost as hilarious as who ever sumbitted ''Bionic'' for Record of the Year. I swear, Heidi Montag getting a Grammy is more likely to happen than that.
Choreographer Dan Karaty who worked with Britney in her earlier years just gave an interview on Dutch TV in which he gave us a small insight in Britney's current world.
He said that he still sees her every now and then and that right now she's at a really good place in her life and happy with what she's accomplished. He also said that while work is still very important to her it's no longer her top priority.
All in all, it's nothing we didn't know already but in times like these, when we're wondering why Britney isn't releasing album's every year or doing every magazine cover there is, it's nice to be reminded that there is more to Britney than just the performer. There's the person, the mom, the lover, the freak, etc...

I already told you that Britney Spears might be getting "freaky" on her upcoming—and mucho anticipated—album.
How's that coming along? Well, I just got word that her team recently put together a "writing camp" of top music producers and writers. They were apparently flown to Dallas for a few days to brainstorm and collaborate on new songs for Spears...
"I know that 'Usual You' off the last album [Circus] has been tossed around like, 'Use this as kind of a jumping off point,' " OneRepublic frontman and über-hitmaker Ryan Tedder told me last night at Ralph Lauren's Big Pony Collection fragrance launch event at the Chateau Marmont hotel.
"It's mind-bendy and trippy," Tedder said, adding, "I applaud the label for saying, 'We're not going to do what's always been done.' I think Britney's such an innovator. She needs to be in the forefront, you know what I mean? You can't come out with something sounding like someone else."

Drawing an end to the week, Britney Spears was spotted out shopping with her bodyguards at the Oaks Mall in Thousand Oaks, CA on Friday (October 8).
Wearing a lacy white bra under her see-through shirt, the "Womanizer" singer dutifully checked out the offerings at the local shops before proceeding back to the homefront.
