More Schocking Details About Britney Book

The following italicized article is from www.pr-inside.com:

More shocking details about a new BRITNEY SPEARS expose have come out as biographer IAN HALPERIN continues to talk to the media about his investigation of the pop star.

Halperin spent 18 months as an undercover paparazzi getting close to Spears and her inner circle of managers and friends, and now plans to release a book full of his findings.

After telling U.S. magazine of the singer’s two apparent suicide attempts, which he’ll write about in the book, Halperin claims the Toxic singer’s problems were fuelled by drugs and the company she keeps.

The award-winning journalist says, "I saw a lot. I partied with her and was able to really monitor what type of stuff she was using. It’s very concerning."

(But) the book is mainly about her handlers, how sleazy and destructive they are toward her.

The people around her are like vultures." Halperin insists his book won’t be a hatchet job on a troubled star - he witnessed enough to make him realise that Spears is basically a good person:

"She’s actually a very caring mom." But he worries she’s in danger of suffering a "catastrophic relapse" of her bipolar issues.

He tells Life & Style, "Britney herself warned me that with her, it’s always two steps forward, one step back."

Britney Arrives in Louisiana

The following italicized article is from www.ok-magazine.com:

Britney Spears packed her bags and headed home to Kentwood Louisiana on Wednesday to be with her sister Jamie Lynn Spears who, at any moment, is expected to give birth to her first baby with boyfriend Casey Aldridge.

OK! can confirm that the 26-year old singer took a commercial flight out of LAX and touched down in New Orleans on Wednesday afternoon accompanied by her father Jamie Spears, brother Bryan Spears and Brit's assistant Brett.

The group then headed to mama Lynn Spears' home, Serenity, where they now await the delivery of Jamie Lynn's baby.

As reported on the pages of this week's OK!, 17-year old Jamie Lynn and Casey have just moved in to a new $300,000 house in Casey's hometown of Liberty, Miss., where they plan to raise their baby girl.

Jamie Lynn Plans On Giving Birth Tomorrow Via C-section

Jamie Lynn is expected to give birth to a baby girl tomorrow according to the National Enquirer (I know I know, I knocked them this morning - but they actually were the first to report her pregnancy [not OK!]). But things aren't going too smooth for the 17 year old. "Doctors are preparing Jamie Lynn Spears for a C-section tomorrow due to complications in the pregnancy... [Jamie Lynn] had an ultrasound last week, indicating her baby may be in breech position." Just like big sis!

Jamie Lynn and her fiance Casey Aldridge plan on having the baby at the Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi. Britney, Jamie, & Bryan flew to New Orleans early this morning in anticipation for the baby's arrival. The three (including the bodyguard and assistant) flew Delta Airlines instead of the usual private jet, and arrived around 1pm CT.

JL & Casey plan are reportedly planning on naming their baby Cailynn or Cassie; a combination of both their names.

Best of luck Jamie Lynn.

Mama Spears: She's Not Staying in Cali Forever!

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

Britney Spears wants a judge to toss out a driving without a license charge against her -- and now mom Lynne has stepped up to plead her case!

The legal drama stems from an incident last year where she nailed a car in a parking lot and drove off. In a declaration filed today with the court, Mama Lynne says her daughter has temporary residences in Florida, New York and California and -- ding dang y'all! -- was totally unaware of why she needed a license in Cali too!

And get this -- even though she's recently been searching for a new bachelorette pad in L.A., Mama Lynne says Britney still intends to return to Louisiana.

They'll be back in court August 11.

BRITNEY SPEARS is acting as matchmaker for her brother - because she’s worried he’s getting too old to find love.

The singer has been trying to set up 31-year-old Bryan with her friends and colleagues, because she hates his choices of girlfriends, and fears he will end up a middle-aged bachelor.

Bryan reveals, "She thinks I should be married by now. She tries to set me up with people, but if I started to seriously date someone, I don’t think she’d like them at first because she’s very protective."

Britney Spears Is On The Move

With rumors going around that Britney Spears is on the verge of selling her old Studio City mansion for a new mansion closer to her children (who currently live in Tarzana, CA with their father Kevin Federline), it prolly feels like a good time to get the hell out of town … therefore, Britney packed up her personal assistant, her father/conservator Jamie Spears and (recent new addition to her entourage) her older brother Bryan Spears (who was just named as one of People magazine’s Hottest Bachelors for 2008) and made her way to LAX airport today bound for destination unknown …

It makes sense that Papa Jamie Spears would be anxious for Britney to sell her Studio City home … you may recall it as the site where Britney suffered her last mental breakdown and had to be carted away to the hospital on a gurney in front of the world’s media. I would want to clear that memory form my family’s history as well. It’s unclear where the Spears fam are heading off to … they could pop up anywhere. I guess we’ll just have to wait and watch.

Britney Spears Snags “Hottest Bachelor”

The following italicized article is from www.justjared.com:

Britney Spears rolls out of bed and catches an early morning flight out of LAX airport in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old pop princess was accompanied by one of People magazine’s hottest bachelors, her older brother Bryan (yes, the one in the hat and glasses).

Her father, Jamie Spears, also came along for the ride. A hearing to determine if he would remain daughter Britney’s conservator was delayed yesterday because the Spears family is apparently going on vacation. Also yesterday, an L.A. court commissioner agreed to allow Jamie to sell Brit’s Studio City home.

Britney Arrives in Louisiana for Jamie Lynn Birth

The following italicized article is from www.eonline.com:

Britney Spears has more important things to worry about than court dates.

Like her future niece.

While Spears' criminal attorney was in court in Van Nuys, Calif., asking for another extension in the pop star's pending criminal case regarding her driving-without-a-valid-license charge, Spears herself was on a Delta flight heading to Louisiana to be by sister Jamie Lynn's side for the birth of her first child.

In an apparent cost-cutting effort, the "Gimme More" singer, who typically jets around on private planes, flew commercial. She quietly slipped out of her gated community around 5 a.m. and headed with her dad, Jamie, and brother, Bryan, to Los Angeles International Airport, where they boarded a Delta flight to New Orleans, an hour ride from the Spears homestead in Kentwood.

Her flight landed at 12:53 p.m. CT, and Britney headed straight to mother Lynne's house.

Jamie Lynn, 17, is having a child (reportedly a girl) with fiancé Casey Aldridge, 19, and is set to give birth any day now, sources tell E! News.

Britney, 26, had previously been somewhat estranged from her little sister. But on May 3, she flew to Kentwood to attend Jamie Lynn's baby shower.

Because her visitations with her own children are still limited, Britney will miss visits with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. Spears is expected to return to Los Angeles on Monday.

Spears' next court date for her August 2007 hit-and-run accident, which occurred in front of the paparazzi's every-ready cameras, is now scheduled for Aug. 11. Due to the fact that Spears is under the care of a conservatorship, Spears' attorney Michael Flanagan, who has been working to try to get the charges dismissed entirely or reduced to an infraction, asked that the case be continued.

Psych Tests Are Ordered For Spears

The following italicized article is from www.latimes.com:

A judge Tuesday ordered Britney Spears to undergo psychological testing in advance of a July 31 hearing to determine whether the troubled pop star should regain control of her medical care and assets.

One of the conservators overseeing the 26-year-old performer's personal and financial affairs is her father, James. He was named co-conservator of her estate Feb. 1, after she was twice hospitalized in a psychiatric facility.

Spears' attorney, Samuel D. Ingham III, said his client would comply with the judge's order and work around a planned trip out of state this month.

Britney Spears to Join Pregnant Sis Jamie Lynn in Kentwood

The following italicized article is from www.usmagazine.com:

Britney Spears is set to fly to her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, on Wednesday, as her pregnant sister Jamie Lynn, 17, prepares to give birth, a source tells Usmagazine.com.

The singer, 26, could stay home for at least a month.

At a hearing in her conservatorship case on Tuesday, a L.A. court commissioner pushed back a July 31 hearing to determine whether her father Jamie should maintain legal control over the singer.

The court commissioner said the singer will be on vacation and won't be back in time to participate in crucial meetings. (Lawyers will now review matters of evidence in the case at the July 31 hearing.)

At Tuesday's hearing, the court commissioner also granted Jamie permission to sell the singer's six-bedroom home in Studio City, California (where she was removed in January and forced into a psychiatric hospital).

Because her father is her co-conservator, the decision to sell the home required a court's approval.

Commissioner Grants Jamie Spears Permission To Sell Britney’s Home

The following italicized article is from www.accesshollywood.com:

Jamie Spears, the father of Britney Spears, was given permission to sell the pop singer’s home in Studio City, a Los Angeles court commissioner ruled Tuesday.

During a hearing in a downtown LA courtroom earlier today, Commissioner Reva Goetz also ruled that a July 31 hearing will be used to review evidential matters related to the Britney Spears case, Reuters reported. Specifics were not immediately made available by the courts.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Britney is currently under a co-conservatorship overseen by her father Jamie and attorney Adam Wallett.

The home Jamie has permission to sell served as the location Britney was twice picked up at earlier this year by authorities. She was taken both times to hospitals, where she was admitted under involuntary psychiatric holds.

In recent months, Britney has seemingly turned her life around, gaining more custody of her children with Kevin Federline and taking on a cameo role in the CBS comedy, “How I Met Your Mother.”

Jamie Lynn's Baby Countdown!

The following italicized article is from www.ok-magazine.com:

As Britney Spears continues her recovery in L.A. — going to the gym, the recording studio and taking occasional acting jobs (her guest appearances on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother could earn her an Emmy nod) — her little sis, Jamie Lynn Spears and her boyfriend Casey Aldridge have been preparing for the arrival of their baby girl.

They've moved into their new home in Liberty, Miss., the town where Casey grew up and most of his family still lives. It's only 30 minutes from Kentwood, where mom Lynne Spears lives at Serenity, the estate Britney owns and where Jamie Lynn was raised.

The couple's new $300,000 house has four bedrooms, a large yard and a swimming pool, something Jamie Lynn told OK! was an absolute essential.

"I love to swim," she said of her favorite exercise. Britney will get a tour of Jamie Lynn's new home but will stay at Serenity with her mama, Lynne. Although she'd love to visit for an extended time, she'll return to L.A. after just a few days.

"Britney will almost certainly have to juggle some of her visitations with her kids while she's off seeing her sister and new niece," an insider tells OK!. "She's not going to want to miss too many of those."

But don't think the singer isn't chomping at the bit to meet her new little niece!

Sources say Brit is set to hop on a chartered jet as soon as she knows that Jamie Lynn, is in labor and has already packed her bags.

Ever since Britney, 26, made a quick visit to her hometown of Kentwood, La., on May 3 for her 17-year-old sister's baby shower, the girls have been in regular contact, mostly texting, about the pending birth of Jamie Lynn's baby girl.

While there are no plans for Britney to be in the delivery room, she hopes to make it to Louisiana before Jamie Lynn delivers.

"As soon as she knows Jamie Lynn is in labor, Britney and her dad will be on a plane," a source close to the family tells OK!.

X17 XCLUSIVE: Britney To BUILD A New House In Calabasas

The following italicized article is from www.x17online.com:

Remember how Britney's conservators were granted permission to sell the Summit home because our girl Brit wanted to move to Calabasas?

Well, not only will the pop star be renting a home there, she'll ALSO be building one!

The New Digs:

The place? The Oaks of Calababas - a gated community. And how much do these big homes actually go for? $10 million and up!

A source tells X17 Xclusively that Britney will be both renting a home in The Oaks while she simultaneously builds a new home in the same neighborhood - construction has not yet begun, but a contractor's been hired.

A Place To Rent:

Our source also tells us that Brit did look at a house to rent in The Oaks, but the place ended up going to Lil' Romeo instead. We're told Britney continues to look for another house to rent but has NOT found one yet...

Another site falsely reports that Brit is trying to move into a home ("Chateau Suenos") in Calabasas - but X17 spoke directly with Jeff Biebuyck, the real estate agent with the listing, and he tells us that no one - least of all Britney Spears! - has been shown the property. Why? Because it's not on the market yet!

Mr. Biebuyck, of Ewing & Associates, told us the following:

"I am the only person with the key [to the Chateau Suenos property] and I have never met Britney Spears and have never shown her this or any house. The house isn't even on the market right now!"

At the very least, it looks like Brit is definitely moving out of our immediate neighborhood - we're gonna miss having her as a fellow 90210'er!

Britney Plans Trip to Sister's Side

The following italicized article is from www.eonline.com:

Britney Spears is back in big-sister mode.

The pop star and her dad, Jamie, are ready to hop a flight at a moment's notice to be by pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears' side in Mississippi, sources tell E! News.

The 17-year-old, who's expecting her first child with fiancé Casey Aldridge, 19, is due to give birth any day now.

“Jamie and Britney are standing by to get a call and when they do, they are jumping on private jet,” a source said.

Sources say Jamie Lynn was scheduled to deliver naturally, but may opt for a C-section for health reasons.

Britney’s court-appointed lawyer, Samuel Ingham, announced at this morning’s probate hearing regarding Spears’ conservatorship that the pop star will be out of town until next Monday.

The "...Baby One More Time" singer had reportedly been somewhat estranged from Jamie Lynn but, on May 3, she flew back to her hometown of Kentwood, La., to attend her little sis' baby shower.

Judge Needs More Time to Review Brit's Case

The following italicized article is from www.ok-magazine.com:

It was back to court for Britney Spears' camp on Tuesday, where a judge postponed a July hearing to discuss control of the singer's assets.

Commissioner Reva Goetz ruled that the July 31 hearing — which was scheduled to decide whether to end or extend Britney's conservatorship — will instead review matters of evidence in her case, giving attorneys more time to compile information about Brit's affairs.

Goetz also granted the singer's dad and co-conservator, Jamie Spears, permission to sell his daughter's Studio City home.

Following a disastrous split from ex-hubby Kevin Federline, a bitter custody battle over their two sons and an erratic lifestyle that ultimately led to the singer being hospitalized twice for psychiatric evaluations, the court established a conservatorship in February, giving Jamie and attorney Andrew Wallet control over Britney's assets and medical decisions.

In the months since, Britney,26, has been lying low, even attempting to get back to work with two successful cameos on the CBS hit How I Met Your Mother.

Dad to Sell Britney Spears's L.A. Home

The following italicized article is from www.people.com:

Britney Spears's father intends to sell her Studio City home in the latest liquidation of her assets, it was revealed in Los Angeles probate court Tuesday.

The hilltop house, located in a gated community, has been the scene of the recent drama in the singer's life, including the night in January she was taken from the property in an ambulance and forced into a psychiatric hospital.

It was not immediately clear where she intends to move. But a source close to Spears said, "Having more privacy and wide open spaces for her to raise her boys has been a goal for some time."

In March, a court granted her father, Jamie Spears, the power to "sell or dispose of" an undisclosed number of her seven cars. Jamie remains in legal control of his daughter's affairs until a July 31 hearing.

Also, her court-appointed attorney, Samuel Ingham, said in court that Britney would be out of state for several days – but he did not offer an explanation of why or where.

Another source tells PEOPLE that Spears is set to head back to Louisiana this week to be by her sister Jamie Lynn Spears's side as the younger sibling welcomes her first child with fiancé Casey Aldridge.

The source says Jamie Lynn, 17, has "not been feeling well" recently, causing the family to push up their travel plans. Their father, their older brother Bryan and Britney's assistant are all expected to make the trip, as well.

Court Signs Off on Britney's Moving Day

The following italicized article is from www.eonline.com:

This time, an ambulance won't be required to move Britney Spears from her Beverly Hills-area home.

The "Toxic" warbler is aiming to sell her home in the gated Summit community—ground zero of her January meltdown—and has quietly begun showing it to prospective buyers, E! News has learned.

Earlier today, a Los Angeles court commissioner okayed a request from Spears' conservatorship asking for permission to put the property on the market.

The court approval comes days after Spears was spotted looking at a $5.6 million, 7,300-square-foot house in the L.A. suburb of Encino, closer to the homebase of ex-husband Kevin Federline and the ex-couple's sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Spears bought her current residence in December 2007 for $6.7 million, according to the tax assessor. The Mediterranean-style villa measures 7,400 square-feet and has five bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms, as well as a library, media room and maid’s quarters. A second floor balcony overlooks a huge open living room and kitchen with an adjacent screening room. There is also a pool and hot tub in the backyard.

Spears has not exactly endeared herself to fellow denizens of the community, who have complained about the constant presence of paparazzi outside the gates. Some reports have blamed Spears as the reason neighbor Ed McMahon has not received a single offer on his $6.5 million house that's facing foreclosure.

This morning at the end of Spears' probate hearing attorneys representing Spears conservatorship submitted to Court Commissioner Reva Goetz a sealed ex-parte motion to go forward with the sale.

Otherwise, the status hearing in Spears' conservatorship case maintained the status quo.

While Spears herself was not present, attorneys for both her and father Jamie Spears appeared before Goetz to deal with matters related to the conservatorship.

After a two-hour closed-door meeting, Goetz stuck with a July 31 court date, when it will be decided if Spears remains in need of a conservator.

Jamie Spears has been serving as coconservator of his daughter's estate since Jan. 31.

Should both sides fail to agree to extend his reign by the next hearing, then Goetz is expected to set a trial, which will determine whether the singer should be placed under the permanent care of a conservator.

Goetz ordered Spears' counsel, Samuel Ingham, to confer with the singer to decide whether she would agree to waive her right to a jury trial.

"My client is going to be out of town until next Monday," Ingham told the court, without divulging Spears' whereabouts. He then informed the commissioner he needed more time to meet up with his client and discuss their options.

Goetz also set a time schedule for attorneys to prepare financial and psychological information on Spears.
