The following italicized article is taken from www.tmz.com:

When Britney gets in your pants, call in the cops.

Britney went shopping at the Levi's store in Bev Hills this afternoon. It got so wild cops came, much to the dismay of the popwreck who got ticketed for parking in the red zone.

And get a load of the bodyguard, who yanks Brit past a phalanx of photogs and fans.

New Britney Pictures!

New pictures of Britney Britney is seen here leaving Levi's in L.A. today. She comes out of the store's back entrance, only to be swarmed by paparazzi, and turns back around inside the store before braving it up to face them so she could leave. LAPD were called in. She got yanked into the car at the end. She seems so scared.

Britney's Case Stays Local

The following italicized article is taken from www.pagesix.com:

A federal judge ruled today that Britney Spears' conservatorship case should stay at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Federal District Judge Philip Gutierrez decided that civil rights' lawyer Jon Eardley — who claims to represent Brit — had "no authority" to remove the case from the state court to the federal system. The next conservatorship hearing is March 10.

Meanwhile, Brit continues on her universal girl quest for the perfect pair of jeans. The pop mom was out at the Levi's store in Los Angeles today, doing just that when she ran into a herd of photogs. She seems to be looking awhole lot better BTW.

Michael Sands To Tell All

The following italicized article is taken from www.pagesix.com:

Michael Sands, current spokesman for Sam Lutfi and Jon Eardley and former spokesman for Mark Vincent Kaplan, will very soon be deposed in Britney Spears' custody case.

PageSix.com has exclusively learned that Sands, who had been subpoenaed by Brit lawyers Trope and Trope, will now be questioned by new Spears family law attorney Stacey Phillips at her Los Angeles office on March 5.
Inside sources explain that Kaplan, K-Fed's lawyer, "is extremely nervous and apprehensive about the deposition and is expected to object to any line of questioning that Michael could have been privy to while he worked for Kaplan."

And we don't blame him. An enthusiastic Sands exclusively tells us, "I welcome the opportunity to testify under oath about what Mark said to me about Sam Lutfi, and I'm willing to take a lie detector test to talk about what the truth is about Sam Lutfi and other specifics regarding the ongoing custody battle. I wonder why Mark is worried about my deposition."

Sands adds that he would also be happy to testify at Sam's restraining-order hearing, slated for March 17, telling us, "Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free!"

Judge Rejects Civil Rights Challenge in Britney Case

The following italicized article is taken from www.people.com:

A federal judge on Tuesday rejected a civil rights challenge in Britney Spears's conservatorship case, allowing the pop star's father to maintain his temporary control of her $100 million estate.

U.S. District Judge Philip Gutierrez returned the case to state probate court and sent a rebuke to the lawyer who launched the challenge, Jon Eardley, who had claimed to represent Spears.

"Mr. Eardley fails to explain why he can bring this claim for her in the first instance. He cannot," Gutierrez said in his three-page ruling. "Mr. Eardley had no authority to remove the case from state court. He is neither a party nor a defendant. While he claims to be Ms. Spears's attorney, the probate court ... found that she was incapable of retaining her own counsel."

Ruling a Victory for Britney's Father

The ruling was a victory for Spears's father, Jamie, who was named as a temporary co-conservator of her estate by the California probate court after Spears was placed under an involuntary, emergency hold at the UCLA Medical Center's psychiatric ward late last month.

As temporary co-conservator, Jamie has great influence over the pop star's fortune as well as her day-to-day activities.

In a highly publicized move, Eardley, a lawyer with practices in Washington, D.C., New York and Whittier, Calif., filed a complaint in U.S. District Court on behalf of Spears. He lashed out against the conservatorship as a "violation of [Spears's] civil rights," and requested the case be moved from California state court to a federal court.

Jamie Spears and the other temporary co-conservator, attorney Andrew Wallet, had called Eardley's move "a brazen – but vain – attempt to strip a probate court of jurisdiction ... by an attorney without a client."

Britney Goes Jeans Shopping

While the federal judge ruled in Jamie Spears's favor, Britney ventured out for an afternoon shopping trip. Spears, accompanied by her assistant and a family friend, arrived at the Levi's Store in Beverly Hills in a chauffeur-driven black Escalade ESV.

"Britney walked in to the store in jeans with a green top and a huge smile," eyewitness Brenda Gold tells PEOPLE.

Brit's Conservatorship Case Knocked Back to State Court

The following italicized article is taken from www.ok-magazine.com:

A day after lawyers for Jamie Spears went to court to challenge claims that Brit's conservatorship was violating her civil rights, a judge slammed the book on the civil rights challenge and knocked the conservatorship case back to state court.

Federal District Judge Philip Gutierrez ruled that Jon Eardley, the attorney who claimed to represent Britney Spears, "had no authority" to remove the singer's conservatorship case from state court.

The judge added, "Mr. Eardley is not Ms. Spears' attorney and acted improperly by removing her conservatorship proceeding to federal court."

The court did not award the conservatorship attorney fees, however, which means Brit will have to pay around $40,000 for the now meaningless case.

On Monday, lawyers for Jamie Spears filed papers challenging Eardley's case, which claimed Britney's civil rights were being violated as a result of the conservatorship. Eardley insisted that he was Brit's lawyer, had been hired by Britney herself and had several witnesses lined up "in California and abroad" to testify on her behalf. He also claimed to be aware of "voicemails" in which Jamie Spears was verbally abusive toward his daughter.

Jamie's lawyers fired back, saying that under the conservatorship authority set in place on Feb. 6, Britney could not legally choose her own counsel. Since Eardley claims he was hired by Brit six days after Jamie Spears was made co-conservator, he can not legally be Britney's attorney. Eardley also failed to meet the court's deadline to file all of this with the proper paperwork.

Bottom line: all parties are due back in state court on March 10, when a judge will decide if Jamie Spears will remain on as the conservator of Brit's estate.

Fed Judge to Brit -- You're Outta Here!

A federal judge has ruled the Feds have no business in Britney's conservatorship case and it has been sent back to state court.

The judge added, "Mr. Eardley is not Ms. Spears attorney and acted improperly by removing her conservatorship proceeding to federal court."

The court did not award the conservatorship attorneys fees, which means it will cost Brit around $40,000 for what turned out to be a bogus case.

Spears Family Says No to Jamie Lynn Wedding

The following italicized article is taken from www.pagesix.com:

Don’t expect any wedding bells in the future for Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge. Despite this week’s People magazine report that the parents-to-be are planning a summer wedding, Spears family sources tell PageSix.com that the family is vehemently opposed to the idea.

“Her dad, Jamie, does not want the wedding and neither does Britney,” a family insider tells PageSix.com. “Jamie thinks she is too young. Her mom, Lynne, is stressed out about the whole thing.”

And if Jamie Lynn, 16, and Casey, 18 — who are currently living in the Spears hometown of Kentwood, La. — do try to walk down the aisle on their own, Louisiana law may be blocking the way. The state mandates that if either party to the marriage is between the ages of 16 and 18, written parental consent is required.

Adds another insider: “This is why Lynne went back to Louisiana earlier than planned. She had wanted to stay in L.A. with Britney for a bit longer, but this situation arose with Jamie Lynn.”

Britney Banned From Beverly Hills Hotel

The following italicized article is taken from www.pagesix.com:

The Beverly Hills Hotel prides itself on being "referred to locally as 'The Pink Palace' … a place to see and be seen, to catch glimpses of famous faces, or to revel in splendid luxury." One face you won't be seeing reveling in splendid luxury, however, is pop wreck Britney Spears. A source at the hotel told PageSix.com that the staff has "specific instructions to turn her away. People come here to get away from that. She brings too much 'trouble' with her."

The source explained that the entire staff was required to attend a meeting recently that was specifically about turning away the "Toxic" mother of two. "There is one person assigned to come outside and start directing the process of getting her turned away," the source revealed.

Although Brit has been denied, our source reveals, "She doesn't listen. She comes back anyway." Like she did on February 6 (pictured), when, fresh out of the psych ward, she checked in to meet with paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib and an attorney. Paparazzi mobbed the hotel as the singer arrived, and LAPD officers were called in. Later that night, Jamie Spears arrived, allegedly wanting to take his daughter home. Police presence was increased before Brit and Adnan were secretly driven home by another paparazzo.

There's no room at this inn, Britney, but luckily there are plenty more hotels in L.A. that might accommodate you and your traveling circus.

Adnan Morphs Into a Total Douchebag

The following italicized article is taken from www.tmz.com:

TMZ got some one-on-one time with Brit's pap boytoy Adnan Ghalib and the former pap was riled up when we got up in his business.

Seems Adnan's pulled a 180 recently, and has started dropping lines the celebs used to tell him when he was out shooting them. At least he has enough sense to admit he's only famous "by association." Tick tock Adnan ... 15 minutes are almost up.

Jamie Spears: Britney’s Civil Rights Aren’t Being Violated

The following italicized article is taken from www.usmagazine.com:

The battle between Jamie Spears and attorney John Eardley — who's claiming to represent his daughter Britney — intensified Monday.

Eardley has argued that the pop singer's civil rights are being violated because she is being held against her will by her father.

In a response filed Monday, a lawyer for Jamie Spears said that Eardley cannot represent the singer because a probate judge in state court found that she "lacks the capacity to hire an attorney, and Mr. Eardley cannot remove the conservatorship proceedings on his own behalf."

(Jamie Spears became his daughter's co-conservator last month after she was taken to the UCLA Medical Center for psychological evaluation.)

Jamie Spears' attorney claimed Eardley's attempt to move the case to federal court is without legal basis and is hurting Jamie Spears financially.

But Eardley isn't letting up.

In papers filed Friday, Eardley said Jamie "has now moved into her house and has taken control of her financial assets, as well as her physical custody, all without the benefit of a hearing where Ms. Spears would be present."

Eardley argued that the singer has never been on good terms with her father and he was "concerned for the emotional and physical safety of Britney under these circumstances."

Eardley — who told the Associated Press that he has also filed additional documents under seal Monday — said he expected a hearing to be set soon.

Asked when he last spoke with Britney, Eardley told the AP, "I talked to her few days ago and someone wrestled the phone away from her. I've not talked to her since then."

Elton: "Britney Needs to Help Herself"

The following italicized article is taken from www.ok-magazine.com:

The most-coveted ticket on Oscar night wasn't for a seat at the annual ceremony, but a short while away at Elton John's 16th Annual fundraiser for his AIDS Foundation. And while stars from Sean Penn to Harrison Ford to Heidi Klum to Diddy lined up to get in, the one celeb in Hollywood who never fails to make headlines — Britney Spears — was nowhere to be seen.

"I really feel for her," Elton told OK! about the troubled pop star during the gala bash. "She doesn't deserve this."

And even though Brit appears to be doing better since falling under the watchful eye of her father Jamie Spears, Elton believes that "the only person that can help Britney is herself... As much as she's going through, it's horrible and I hope she comes through it. If I could do anything, I would.

"Elton was, however, able to do quite a lot for some people on Sunday night, when his Oscar-night celebration raised millions of dollars for AIDS research and relief. And the music legend is grateful the recent, drawn-out writers' strike ended in time for the Oscars to go forward. "We're very, very happy about the end of the strike," he explained to OK!. "Otherwise we would have been in real trouble."

More Mommy Time for Britney

The following italicized article is taken from www.eonline.com:

After not seeing her boys for almost two months, Britney Spears has scored her second face-to-face visit in the past three days.

The embattled pop star received another in-home visit from one-year-old Jayden James and two-year-old Sean Preston on Monday, E! News has confirmed.

The kids were again shuttled to Spears' home in Kevin Federline's gray Dodge Viper truck, driven by Federline's longtime security guard, at around 9 a.m. They departed shortly after noon. News of the Monday sojourn was first reported by jfxonline.com.

While few details of Monday's mommy-and-me session were available, during Saturday's visit, Spears, 26, was not permitted to be alone with her sons.

Among those present at the initial visit were her father, Jamie Spears, a court-appointed monitor, a Federline bodyguard and an attorney from the Luce Forward law firm, which is handling Britney's conservatorship for Jamie Spears. It was believed all parties were on hand again for Monday's visit.

The boys have resided primarily with Federline, since October, when Spears was stripped of custody. The singer lost visitation on Jan. 3, after a custody standoff that ended with her being hospitalized and placed on a psych hold.

The recent visits were the result of negotiations between lawyers for Kevin Federline and Luce Forward last week, with Jamie Spears also sharing a large portion of the credit.

"None of this would have happened if Jamie Spears had not been involved. That's for sure," Federline attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told E! News Friday. "He gets a lot of credit for helping make this happen. But we've worked very hard with the conservator lawyers, as well, to make this all work."

Meanwhile, lawyers for the conservatorship filed new court documents Monday, urging a judge to end a civil rights challenge to Jamie Spears' control over his daughter's financial affairs.

Attorney Jon Eardley, who claims he was hired by the troubled singer earlier this month, has argued in court documents that Britney's constitutional rights are being violated and is seeking to have her conservatorship case moved from Los Angeles Superior Court to federal court.

In their latest motion, the conservatorship attorneys argue that Eardley has both failed to prove that he legitimately represents Britney, and to meet the court's filing deadline.

They have asked that the case be immediately returned to Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz and that Eardley be forced to reimburse the approximately $43,000 in attorney fees racked up as a result of his actions.
