Brit-Brit's Rocky Mountain Retreat

The following italicized article is from www.pagesix.com:

Heads up, Britney watchers: The troubled pop tart has just been spotted in Colorado — by Stan Marsh and Kyle Broflovski!

That’s right — just days after taping an episode How I Met Your Mother — Britney Spears, 27, will make an appearance on South Park.

OK, maybe not the real Britney, but that shouldn’t stop fans and foes alike from tuning in to see how the animated Comedy Central series skewers her.

Earlier this week, the network hinted that the episode (airing today at 10 p.m. ET) would reflect the ever-expanding media circus surrounding the often addled single mom:

“Britney Spears is trying to get away from it all in the mountains near South Park, Colo., when the boys have a run-in with her. Stan and Kyle get caught up in Britney's celebrity and the never-ending feeding frenzy that follows her wherever she goes.”

What we want to know is, will Britney hook up with Kenny?

Britney's Dad to Sell Some of Her Cars

The following italicized article is from www.people.com:

Daddy is taking away the keys to some of Britney Spears's cars – permanently.

A court granted the singer's father on Monday the power to "sell or dispose of" an undisclosed number of her seven cars, documents show.

Lawyers for Jamie Spears stated that the cost of maintaining the fleet of vehicles was too expensive and that the sale of "a certain of" her cars "will save substantial expense to the conservatorship estate."

Among the singer's cars are two white Mercedes (a SL65 and a CLK350), a white Mini Cooper convertible, and a black Audi.

Also on Monday, a court spokesman clarified that the pop star's $1,500 a week allowance "is not her only source of (personal) income," but did not give further details.

Spears's father and a lawyer will remain in control of her affairs until a July 31 hearing.

Someone's Pimping Britney's Ride

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

TMZ has obtained documents in the Britney Spears conservatorship case, and what's clear is that Brit has too many wheels spinning.

The commissioner signed an order giving the co-conservators the power to sell some of Brit's cars. And get this, the Britster owns seven -- count them -- seven cars.

According to the documents, the cost of maintaining the vehicles is steep, what with insurance, maintenance and storage costs. The conservators say selling some of the rides "will save substantial expenses to the conservatorship estate."

The company that will sell the cars is going to make a sweet 5% commission.

Britney Spears’ dad begs Kevin Federline to take her back

The following italicized article is from www.showbizspy.com:

Britney Spears’ dad has begged the troubled star’s ex-husband Kevin Federline to take her back, it has been claimed.

Jamie Spears is reportedly desperate to see Federline and Spears reunite, and for Kevin to assume control of her affairs.

But K-Fed is resisting Jamie’s efforts to become the conservator of 26-year-old Spears’ estate, according to U.S reports.

Federline, who was dumped by Britney in November 2006, currently has custody of the former couple’s two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

“Jamie is tired, and he’d like Kevin to be involved with Britney’s mental care,” an insider told the National Enquirer magazine. “Jamie also believes Britney would do much better seeing her kids more often - and she’d be more open to seeking treatment voluntarily if she had the boys in her life.”

Jamie, 55, has been in charge of Britney’s medical care and managing her estate since he was handed the powers by a California judge. But his role runs out on July 31 and he has had discussions with Federline about assuming the role.

However, insiders say that Federline, 30, is more interested in raising his sons, than Britney.

“Kevin said he can’t worry about Britney - and worry about his children being around an unstable mother, too.

“Kevin doesn’t want that burden. He told Jamie that he is not in love with Britney anymore - and he can’t get over the fact that Britney slept with some of his friends, plus other people he knows in the music business.

“Kevin just doesn’t see how they could ever get back together and make things work.”

They Drink Your Milkshake

The following italicized article is from www.pagesix.com:

The Spears family continued in their bid to become the 21st century Beverly Hillbillies last night by popping in to Paradise Cove Beach Cafe in Malibu. On the menu are mouthwatering dishes like Bloody Mary Shrimp Gazpacho (which you know Britney chowed down on), the "Best Lobster Dinner in Town" (that's a direct quote — and we imagine it's Jamie's favorite), Drunken Sterling Salmon (lookin' at you, Lynne) and the Gigantic Iced Seafood Display — fun for the whole family to share!

Brit's Psych Ward -- No Cells, No Laptops!

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

The UCLA psych hospital where Britney Spears spent a 5150 stint earlier this year is now officially a cellphone- and laptop-free zone, after patient photos popped up on the 'net.

It doesn't look like any of the snaps, which appeared on an unnamed "social networking" site, are of the Britwreck, reports the L.A. Times. Still, the hospital is concerned that even though the psych patients supposedly gave their consent to be photographed, they "might not be well-reasoned or fully competent" enough to know what they were getting themselves into.

Dr. Thomas Strouse, the medical director of the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, says in a statement that patients will still have access to landlines. The ban actually went into effect March 3, before it was reported that UCLA canned at least 13 workers and suspended six others for snooping in Brit's medical records. The hospital stresses that the two incidents aren't related.

Britney Spears Dines With Parents

The following italicized article is from www.usmagazine.com:

Britney Spears joined her mom Lynne and her co-conservator father Jamie for a bite to eat at the Paradise Cove Beach Café in Malibu, California, last night.

The singer, 26, donned a sleeveless white eyelet dress and brown boots for the All-American meal (the menu for the beachfront diner includes seafood and burgers).

After dining, the crew piled into an SUV, with Jamie sitting in the front seat.

Lynne — who recently visited her daughter on the set of CBS’ How I Met Your Mother — threw a red coat over Britney’s head to shield her from photographers. (On Monday, Lynne spent St. Patrick's Day with her grandchildren, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 17 months.)

Though Mel "King of Malibu" Gibson was nowhere to be seen, Britney and her family went to Spears' other 'hood last night for an intimate dinner at Paradise Cove Beach Cafe.

Britney was joined (and blocked) by her mom, dad, and at least 20 flash-happy photogs.

The plan to save Britney Spears’ fortune

The following italicized article is from www.msnbc.msn.com:

There’s some belt-tightening going on in the Britney Spears camp, but it’s not because Spears is going broke or was recently told to pay Kevin Federline’s attorneys $375,000.

The reason is that Britney Spears’ conservators and advisors want to make sure that Spears and her two kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, can have everything they need.

“If Britney Spears never goes back to work, there is no reason she and her kids shouldn’t be able to live a very comfortable life with the kind of money she has in the bank,” said a source close to the Spears family.

As for what Spears has in the bank, it’s not as much as what’s been reported. “Those figures of $100 million or more were so off the mark,” a Spears source told OK! magazine. Best estimates for her net worth are in the $40 million range, according to several people with knowledge of Spears’ finances.

The cutbacks in spending are widespread, according to OK!, who estimates that she’ll go from a “budget” of $100,000 a month on entertainment and vacations to 10 percent of that; her $16,000-a-month clothing allowance will get halved; and as of April 1, Spears will let go of her $30,000-a-month Malibu home she hasn’t been to in months.

“It’s taken a huge team to bring some normalcy out of the chaos that existed,” the source told the magazine. “This team will have to be in place for years.”

Britney On a Budget

The following italicized article is from www.ok-magazine.com:

After years of spending her millions on vacations and dead-of-night shopping sprees, Britney Spears has been put on a tight budget by a team of advisers.

"Britney was never worth nearly as much as many thought she was," a source close to the pop diva tells OK! exclusively. "Those figures of $100 million or more were so off the mark."

In fact, the best estimate for her net worth is $40 million. Brit's team wants to preserve her fortune so she is comfortable and can support her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, even without any additional income.

The source says, "There's going to be some serious belt-tightening." The estimated $100,000 a month she'd spend on entertainment and vacations may be cut to 10% of that, and her $16,000-a-month clothing allowance will get halved. OK! has learned that as of April 1, she will let go of her $30,000-a-month Malibu pad that she hasn't visited in months.

Brit's dad, Jamie Spears, cut off her credit cards when he became her conservator. He and attorney Andrew Wallet are in charge of her estate. Her brother, Bryan, and another attorney manage the fund that administers her daily spending.

Now, the main financial drain is legal fees, round-the-clock security and medical costs. "It's taken a huge team to bring some normalcy out of the chaos that existed," the source says. "This team will have to be in place for years." The medical team alone usually has seven doctors and therapists. The legal team handles her finances, custody of her kids and the restraining order against Sam Lutfi. "Her legal bills alone could top $1 million this year," another insider familiar with the situation tells OK!.

Could be...but she's still making $750,000 a month so she ain't broke in a long time!
