Britney's Camp for Kids -- Desperate Times

The summer camp that Britney Spears created for under-privileged kids back in 1999 is in serious danger of going under -- unless they find some serious dough ASAP.

The camp -- a ten-day summer program for 250 "economically disadvantaged students" -- was originally named the "Britney Spears Camp for the Performing Arts" until Brit bowed out in 2004. After that, the camp was renamed Summer Stars Camp and received generous donations from sponsors like 50 Cent and the Jonas Brothers.

But now, the camp's executive director tells TMZ they've run out of money and can't seem to find any more celebrity sponsors this year -- the first time they've had money issues since the place was founded.

The director also claims that the camp is so desperate for the $250,000 it needs to stay afloat, they've entered a contest run by Pepsi in a last ditch effort to score a grant.

Attempts to reach Britney for comment were unsuccessful.

DJ Tiësto Working with Britney

Dj Tiësto's management confirms to RTL Boulevard that he and Britney Spears have been having business meetings and that a single will most likely happen.

Nothing has been set in stone yet but Tiësto and Britney are currently in the first stages of a collaboration and have been spending a lot of time together to determine the sound of the track.

Britney's legs, waist and butt are all rendered slimmer—even though she's looking pretty good in the before shots. Surprising? Not so much, but nice to know anyway!

The reality star "sang" her dance single, "Tardy for the Party," in what appeared to be a black skirt and bustier inspired by 1980s Madonna. She was joined onstage by her collaborator and fellow Housewife Kandi Burruss and a gaggle of hot, muscled go-go boys.

Claim that Britney Spears hit Jason Trawick doesn’t connect

In a piece titled, “Britney Bitch Slaps Jason,” X17Online claims they witnessed Britney Spears smacking around her boyfriend Jason Trawick.

Incredibly, though Spears is followed everywhere by paparazzi, an X17Online photographer was the only person to witness this – and yet the photographer did not get one single photo of the supposed incident.

Huh?

According to X17Online, Trawick was recently following Spears in his own car when “he decided to join her in her Mercedes G-Wagon and have her bodyguard drive his car. He called Brit on the phone to ask her to pull over, which she did, but she was blocking traffic and cars behind her started honking. This frustrated her and by the time Jason got to the car, she was ready to explode — and she did!”

X17Online goes on to say, “Britney flew into a rage,” and quotes their photographer alleging that Brtiney then “hit Jason in the face five or six times!”

Really?!

The photog, who then psychoanalyzed Spears, opines, “It looked like she was taking out years of frustration on Jason when she was hitting him.”

Uh, huh…

Just to recap: X17Online, which is a “news” and photo agency, says they were the only ones to witness Spears hit Trawick numerous times in the face in public, and the photographer who saw this (and psychoanalyzed the singer’s motivation) didn’t get one single picture?

Admittedly, Gossip Cop had a gut feeling about this story from X17Online, which has several times witnessed events that never occurred, but still we checked out this story.

Britney Crying?

Personal comment - First and foremost, I would like to state that I am not denying that it looks like Britney is crying in these pictures because it does look like that. That is also the key word here, LOOK. My main concern is that these pictures lack context to place them in. There are 11 blurry pictures taken in a very close time frame and from a distant. There's no video to show what was happening or how long this was happening. For all we know she was sneezing because of allergies. I don't know.

Also, even IF she was crying there can be a million things she was crying about. Maybe a song on the radio made her emotional, maybe something happened with a friend, maybe she had a fight with Jason, maybe she was just having a bad day or maybe she really is upset that she is under a conservatorship.

My point is that we don't know and because of this we shouldn't jump to conclusions unlike some.

Tab Claims Britney Spears’ Mom Rushed to L.A. to Save Daughter’s Relationship

The tab quotes a so-called “insider” as saying, “Britney is desperate to save her relationship and needs her mother’s help to keep Jason from leaving her for good.”

According to the Star, the situation between Britney and Jason has turned “volatile,” with the singer allegedly threatening to ruin her agent-boyfriend’s career should he leave her.

That’s why, says the mag, Momma Spears has moved in and is staying for a while.

Gossip Cop reached out to a source close to the Spears family, who said the Star’s depiction is “definitely not” accurate, and “all is fine.”

The source further noted that far from moving into Britney’s L.A. home, Lynne Spears has been spending time with her other daughter, Jamie Lynn, on the East Coast.

Unless you have a sodium problem, take this latest Star story with a grain of salt, like such previous pieces from the tabloid: Britney’s pregnant! Jason’s cheating! They’re planning wedding choreography! And the wedding’s off!

In the past, its editors didn’t seem to know what fairly common items — such as underwear and fingers — look like.

They have no clue which celebrity couples are married and which ones long ago split.

They’ve referred to films that have already premiered as “just announced!”

And they don’t understand that death is sad.

Usually, this cluelessness is at least good for a laugh.

Not today.

On the heels of a (thankfully wrong) report yesterday that Britney Spears is in a downward spiral of self-mutilation, throwing herself down stairs, dropping weights on her limbs, and ripping out her hair, HollywoodLife offers its own cautious, well-considered take.

The site sounds the alarm (and shames Spears) for changing outfits.

Huh?

“OH NO! Britney You’re Repeating Some Of Your Pre-Meltdown Ways!” shrieks HollywoodLife. “Do We Have to Call Your Father?”

What exactly has Spears done to trigger these fears of a meltdown?

She walked into a store “wearing one outfit,” reports the site, before “emerging in an [another] ill-fitting white dress with her hair all a mess.”

Apparently, this “clothing switcheroo,” as HollywoodLife calls it, “sounds a little bit too much like 2007 Britney,” when Spears descended into erratic behavior during which she lost custody of her sons and control over her life and fortune.

According to the site, this outfit “quick change” is an alarming “whiff of what Brit breakdowns look like before.”

And this isn’t the first time they’ve made this claim. Last month the site fretted that Spears could be verging on a “complete meltdown” because she was “disheveled.”

Let’s get this straight: So HollywoodLife thinks Spears is having a mental breakdown because she switched her clothes and doesn’t look perfectly coiffed all the time? The changing room has suddenly become the last stop before the psych ward?

Seriously?

Gossip Cop thinks enough is enough.

Maybe HollywoodLife should focus less on bad wardrobe choices and more on good reporting.
