Miss Spears was honored during the night’s festivities with the Ultimate Choice Award for her lifetime achievements.
Talking about her rollercoaster career, Brit said, “The last couple of years have been quite a ride for me, the media has criticized my every move and printed a skewed perception of who I really am as a human being.”

The "Womanizer" singer reportedly uses cool strips of the metallic cooking aid to give her lips an instant pick-me-up when she is feeling tired, reports.
"To keep her lips looking perky and fresh, her make-up artist takes a sheet from a stockpile of frozen foil in his freezer, pokes a hole in it so Britney can breath through her mouth and smoothes it over her face," said a source.
The regime apparently helps reduce puffiness and swelling, leaving Britney with a perfect pout.

'Britney Wants To Start A Familly With Jason'

The Toxic singer — who has two young sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline — is apparently keen to start a family with her new boyfriend Jason Trawick.
“Britney dreams of getting maried to Jason and having his baby,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer. “She would love to finally have a baby girl and be a stay-at-home mom and not to be on tour.”
Britney, the source reveals, “says she wants a man who loves her, who loves having a family and who goes to work while she stays at home and cares for the children.”
However, Jason isn’t so keen on the idea of getting married.
“His last long-term relationship ended because he wouldn’t pop the question,” dished the insider.
“Jason is wonderful with Britney’s boys,” the source explains. “He is very hands-on with them, very natural and at ease. He feeds the boys, helps with potty training and plays lovingly with them. Even Kevin thinks Jason is good for the boys.
“After all her problems, Britney is finally ready for her happy ending.”

It’s a moment of sweet redemption for Britz, because it means she will return once again to the stage where she’s tasted her sugariest highs and her most Xanax-tical lows. Let’s face it, Britney is the VMAs. She’s the reason we watch every year — it’s how we take the temperature of the Britney universe. She was made for this show, and it was made for her.
Once more, Lady B shall take the stage where she suffered the indignity of the 2007 VMAs, where she mumbled, bumbled, and stumbled through a rendition of “Gimme More” that traumatized her fans, bumping into her scared-looking back-up dancers, rocking her spray-painted abs and one of Bret Michaels’ used hairpieces. As people used to say way back in 2007, it was a “fail,” as well as a “hot tranny mess.”
Britz made her return to the VMAs last year, showing she could make the scene as a wholesome, soft-spoken Southern gal, but with all these nominations, she has a chance for an even bigger comeback — not to mention an even bigger celebration of her place as the pop queen of the decade. Nobody should be surprised if she sweeps all seven of her categories, just because “Womanizer” is a seven-times-awesome kind of song, although given that it’s up against heavy hitters like “Single Ladies,” “Poker Face” and “Love Lockdown,” she might want to rehearse her “it’s an honor just to be nominated, y’all” cliche just in case. (Bizarrely, she’s not nominated for Best Female Video, maybe because she’s too much of a woman-woman-womanizer?)
Given that Eminem got a bunch of nominations as well, maybe MTV is just having spasms of 1999 nostalgia. But this a moment for all her fans to savor, wonder why the new category for “Best [Old] Video That Should Have Been A Moonman” doesn’t have a nod for her “Lucky” video, from 2000. That’s a classic. It was her Kid A.

Britney Gets Nailed With Seven MTV VMA Nominations

Britney Spears Goes Back to Blonde

As for her touring duties, Miss Spears is off duty until she kicks off another round of shows in North America - beginning August 20th in Ontario and wrapping up in Las Vegas on September 27th.

Scheduled Conservatorship Review May Be Canceled
If Jamie Spears plans to ask a judge to review the terms of the conservatorship to release his daughter anytime soon, he may want to let Judge Reva Goetz know before the next scheduled review set for August 3, 2009.TMZ reported last week that Jamie will ask the judge to review the terms of the conservatorship after Britney’s current tour ends in November. The story has received international attention through various media outlets, fan sites and independent bloggers. But not everyone believes the story.
“That’s not true,” says Vania Stuelp, deputy public information officer of the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Stuelp works closely with Judge Goetz. Her job requires talking to the judge in advance to know what’s coming going to happen in court so the public affairs office is prepared. She says, as of yesterday, the judge doesn’t know what is going to be discussed during the August review.
“It may be canceled,” says Stuelp.
The review was scheduled as the next step in a Florida case involving Britney. The underlying issues of that case have been resolved according to Stuelp.
The decision to proceed or cancel the review is expected to be made this Thursday.
While it is possible that TMZ’s claim that Jamie will ask the judge to free his daughter in November, Britney’s tour ends, the court hasn’t heard anything. There is also nothing scheduled after August on the online court calendar.
The August review was put on the docket on Jan. 21, 2009 when Judge Goetz ruled against lifting a protective order issued last October that temporarily prevented Britney from being deposed. The Florida case settled in June as confirmed yesterday.
“The case was amicably settled. The parties entered an agreement, the terms of which are confidential, after which we voluntarily dismissed our claims,” says Clay Townsend, attorney for Johnny Wright who sued Britney in October 2007 for nonpayment of commissions.
According to court documents filed by Townsend, Wright, an artist manager who has managed other recording artists, such as Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson, managed Britney’s career from 1999 to Feb. 2003 when his management services were terminated. However, Britney had agreed to continue to pay Wright “sunset” commissions through Feb. 2008. She stopped making payments after Dec. 26, 2006 a month after filing for divorce from Kevin Federline.
Britney has been under a conservatorship by her father Jamie and an attorney, Andrew Wallet, since February of last year. A judgment was granted for permanent control of her person and estate last October at about the same time the conservatorship filed in Los Angeles for emergency protection against a deposition of Britney brought by the Florida plaintiffs including Wright’s company Wright Entertainment Group, Inc.

Spears Buying Father a Restaurant
The ‘Toxic’ singer Britney Spears is keen for her father Jamie Spears – who was made co-conservator of her personal and professional affairs following her public breakdown last year – to run a new eatery when the conservatorship comes to an end.A source said: "Britney just wanted to give him something useful as a sign of her appreciation.
"After all their ups and downs she knows he's always got her best interests at heart."
Britney - who opened her ill-fated New York restaurant Nyla in 2002 - plans to serve soul food at the Los Angeles eatery.
Soul food is popular in the southern states of America - Britney was raised in Kentwood, Louisiana - and includes dishes such as fried chicken, barbecued ribs, black eyed peas and sweet potato.
Earlier this month, it was revealed Jamie wants a judge to review the conditions of the conservatorship agreement when Britney's 'Circus' world tour concludes in November.
A US website reported: "Jamie can't ask the judge to end it - just to review it. The judge then decides if Britney should regain control of her life."
Jamie thinks Britney - who currently has shared custody of her two children with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Sean Preston, three, and two-year-old Jayden James - is now strong enough to look after herself.

Rejected Britney Spears Song Set for Har Mar Superstar Album
