Ghalib, 35, told entertainment show The Insider on Monday that Britney is finding it difficult to believe her younger sister is expecting a child.
Ghalib said: “I don’t think that she accepts that she is (pregnant).”
The Afghan born photographer also quashed rumors that Britney was jealous of Jamie Lynn.He said: “Absolutely not (jealous). She is a typical older sister.”
Ghalib also briefly appeared on The Insider’s sister show, Entertainment Tonight on Monday, and told how he thinks that Britney may have been tricking the paparazzi when she told photographers she didn’t know her sister was pregnant, back in December.
Ghalib said: “She’s a lot smarter than most people think. Sometimes she plays the media very well. She may very well have known and just played it out that she didn’t.”
Ghalib started dating Britney Spears in December 2007 and has been seen accompanying the troubled singer on shopping excursions, restaurant outings and to court, even though he was still reportedly married.
On January 18, 2008, Azlynn Elizabeth Berry, Ghalib’s wife of four years, filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
She seeks spousal support and for Ghalib to cover her legal expenses.
