According to the report, Brit received one letter mentioning "how to bomb" and the others contained threatening language and "weird gibberish."
A source told E! News, "A lot of it was disturbing stalker kind of stuff ... But to be safe her security team is turning it all over to the police and FBI."
An LAPD spokeswoman said no specific investigation had been launched, but that they were looking into it. An FBI spokesperson says the bureau doesn't comment on ongoing investigations.
