Our courthouse source reports that Judge James Steele has decided to push the preliminary hearing in the pop singer's case - originally scheduled for today - back to September 16th. At least Judge Steele's got a good reason to delay the hearing - he's reviewing the case and the accompanying statutes to determine whether or not to send it to trial. Depending on how he sees things, the case might get thrown out entirely!
Of course, Brit will still have to face the music if he decides the case should go to trial - currently still on schedule for mid-October. We certainly hope it doesn't come to that!
