Britney Was Never Scheduled To Perform At Rockefeller Center Tree-Lighting

The following Italicized article is from www.accesshollywood.com:

Despite a rousing performance on “Good Morning America” of her hit single, “Womanizer,” and online reports that Britney Spears had pulled out of a scheduled live performance for the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree-lighting ceremony, Access Hollywood has learned that the pop star was never scheduled to perform live.

A NBC source told Access Hollywood that Britney was never due to perform at the festive holiday event. Instead Britney pre-taped an appearance for the NBC special, which takes place tonight.

Live performers scheduled for tonight include Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, Beyonce, Stephen Colbert, The Muppets, and more.

The pop star’s appearance is just one of the many events keeping her busy this week. On Tuesday, her sixth studio album, “Circus” was released, coinciding with her 27th birthday.

Britney celebrated with a circus themed extravaganza at New York City’s Tenjune nightclub with fellow celebs Lance Bass, Heidi Klum, Ciara, Jeremy Piven, Will.i.Am, Russell Simmons, Josh Lucas, and Wade Robson.

Britney’s mom Lynne Spears, dad Jamie Spears, and manager Larry Rudolph were also in attendance.
