Brit and K-Fed: Will They Fight or Settle?

The Brit/K-Fed child custody saga has been postponed, and we here at TMZ smell something.

The lawyers were supposed to yak it up in court tomorrow morning. They were planning on talking about next month's trial over custody. A trial seems weird, because there's a conservatorship in place and it doesn't seem kosher to duke it out in custody court, at least now.

But here's the clue. Tomorrow's hearing has been rescheduled for Friday. When cases get postponed like that, there's a chance the lawyers are trying to settle it and buy more time.

Britney & Moms Bonding Time

According to witnesses, the four women went "hog wild" at the giant warehouse, scouring the racks and leaving with oversized shopping bags under their arms. Referring to the tight-fit jeans she picked up, Brit was overheard saying to her assistant, "I'm feeling skinnier now, so..."

Insiders tell OK! that Britney's relationship with True Religion, famous for their low-rise, hip-baring jeans, is basically the same as the understanding she has at the Ed Hardy warehouse, where she is free to roam to rows and rows and rows of clothes and pull whatever she wants.

But despite Friday's shopping spree, it's likely that the sexy slacks will be left in Britney's closet next Tuesday when she heads to court for her final scheduled custody hearing before the case goes to trial in August.

Britney And Kevin Hearing Underway

According to X17online's reporter inside the courtroom, Britney is look extremely well put-together, sitting in the second to last row, wearing a silk brown dress with white polka dots underneath a sweater.

Kevin's wearing a beige suit with stripes and earrings in both ears.

Kevin looked calm as he was sworn in, but our girl Brit must be a bit nervous, because when asked to state her name, she responded with just "Britney"! The judge then said "we need your full name, please", and Britney obliged.

The courtroom has been cleared of press to protect the family, but we're waiting outside the courtroom to bring you updates as soon as we have them!

Brit's Custody Hearing Will Go On Without Her
