Producer: Britney Spears Welcome Back on Sitcom

The following italicized article is from www.people.com:

Britney Spears is always welcome back to How I Met Your Mother.

“We always said, ‘You know, if her character pops, we’ll bring her back,’” the CBS sitcom’s executive producer Carter Bays tells the Associated Press. “I thought she was great. I was very proud of that episode.”

On the March 24 show Spears, 26, played at receptionist at a dermatologist’s office, opposite Josh Radnor. Costar Neil Patrick Harris said Spears was “really funny”.

“It was totally weird,” Bays said of having Spears on the set. “I think we have a very, like, kind of Midwestern homey vibe here on the show, and it was strange to suddenly have helicopters circling.” he said.

The episode wrapped up with Spears’s character flirting with womanizer Barney (Harris). The following week, in an episode in which Spears did not appear, a “mystery woman” sabotaging Barney’s usually successful attempts to pick up ladies was introduced into the plot.

Asked if Spears might end up to be the saboteur, Bays replied “Could be. There’s no reason why not” — though he also suggested it could be Spears’s guest costar Sarah Chalke.

So, will Britney come back or won’t she? “I don’t know,” he said. “I don’t know the answer to that.”

Sam Lutfi Denies Restraining Order Was Extended

The following italicized article is from www.usmagazine.com:

Sam Lutfi says a restraining order banning him from Britney Spears hasn't been extended.

In a statement released Friday, he said reports that he has been barred from seeing the singer until April 16 "have not been proven to date."

He said he never agreed to an extension, adding, "I want my case heard by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge."

In March, Lutfi filed papers objecting to the California Superior Court commissioner who ordered him to stay away from the singer.

Lutfi is free to appear in court on April 16 to petition for a new judge.

In February, a restraining order was issued against him after Lynne Spears accused him of drugging her daughter.

K-Daddy's Lawyer -- Don't Stop Believin'

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

Leaving a $2,000 tip at a Vegas strip club doesn't mean you're taking advantage of the ex-wife who's footin' your tab (payin' his lawyer's bills and forkin' over $20k a month in alimony) -- it just means you love the ladies.

Kevin Federline's meticulously-dressed super duo of Elliot Mintz and Mark Vincent Kaplan had "issues" with our story yesterday, detailing the tens of thousands K-Fed dropped in Vegas in a recent eight-month period.

MVK said we shouldn't believe every claim Brit's mouthpiece writes down on legal paper. But dude, K-Fed flashed more plastic than the chicks at Scores the night he laid down a $2,000 tip on his $365 bar tab -- and we have the AMEX bill to prove it.

Britney Spears: Children’s Clothing Designer

The following italicized article is from www.people.com:

Britney Spears may have had shopping for little sister Jamie Lynn on the top of her agenda while visiting designer Christian Audigier at the Ed Hardy offices yesterday, but there was definitely business at hand. “She wants to work on a clothing line with Christian,” says Ed Hardy representative Nicole Irving, who adds, “it was a closed door meeting, but we will say that they are planning to do a children’s clothing line.” Spears sought out the former Von Dutch designer specifically to discuss the project, seeking his “flair on the line.” Irving explains, “I know the one thing she stressed, she loves and really respects Christian as a designer.” As for the pop star, who spent the morning with her sons Jayden and Preston, Irving describes her as “just really warm and in good spirits.”

Britney Starting Children’s Clothing Line

The following italicized article is from www.accesshollywood.com:

In yet another possible turn in the right direction for Britney Spears, an Ed Hardy representative told People the pop star is looking to step into the design world, saying “She wants to work on a clothing line with Christian [Audigier]. It was a closed door meeting, but we will say that they are planning to do a children’s clothing line.” Torn toddler fishnets are all the rage on the playground!

Britney Shops For Jamie Lynn

The following italicized article is from www.hollyscoop.com:

While Jamie Lynn Spears spent the eve of her 17th birthday shopping at JC Penny in Mississippi, her big sis Britney was busy shopping at Ed Hardy.

Britney visited the corporate offices of Ed Hardy late yesterday afternoon to pick up some goodies. She picked up a bunch of stuff for the birthday girl and she also got some stuff for her brother and dad. Aww, how cute!

Britney was accompanied by her agent from William Morris and when she was done shopping her mom came and took her. Britney had a visit from her children earlier in the day so she was in really high spirits.

This behavior makes Britney fans very happy! Glad she's back on track and we can't forget to wish birthday girl Jamie Lynn a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

K-Fed's Big Year Out

The following italicized article is from www.eonline.com:

Not sure about the kind of luck Kevin Federline's having these days, but everyone else sure seems to score when he's around.

And we don't just mean the strippers at Scores Las Vegas, where Britney Spears' ex-husband recently left a $2,000 tip on a $365 tab, prompting an inquiry from Spears' camp into whether Federline really needed help paying his attorneys' fees.

According to court documents obtained by E! News, the doting dad continues to spend big bucks on the kids ($1,517 during one trip to Babies R Us, for example), but he also isn't shy about dropping $589 on a pair of Gucci trousers or pampering himself to the tune of $1,200 at the Burke Williams spa in Los Angeles.

And, apparently he is single-handedly supporting the Venetian, the Hard Rock, Caesars Palace and various other Vegas hotspots when out of town, spending $50,489.71 for room and board, purchasing $40,000 worth of bling at Leor Jewelry & Timepieces at the Palms and plunking down $2,632 in one sitting/mingling at Tao Beach, the Venetian's poolside club.

Here's a rundown of some of the more noticeable expenditures billed to Federline over the past year:

$500 dropped one night at the Mondrian Hotel's Sky Bar in West Hollywood. That's one night out of many. Tons. More nights than there are in a year, it seems. (All those spread sheet figures start running together after awhile.)

$3,923 for a shopping spree at Barney's New York (in Beverly Hills), part of the $10,300.50 in wardrobe expenses that kept him suitably clothed for all those nights on the town in 2007.

$477 at a HoneyBaked Ham store. Someone got a nice gift last year.

$127.15 at Ann Taylor, which sells only ladies' clothing, so while we don't know who the threads were for, they weren't for him. (Well, they weren't listed under "total wardrobe expenses," anyway.) Actually, Spears' family attorney, Stacy Phillips, alleged in court last month that Federline lets the mother of his first two kids, Shar Jackson, use his business credit card, so maybe his once-spurned ex decided to treat herself.

Various dues and insurance fees paid to the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists. Oh yeah, Federline's been on TV, reading lines.

$105.67 at Victoria's Secret. Ew.

$243.55 at Dave's Flowers & Gifts. Aw.

Not including all of the jaunts to Sin City (airlines of choice include Southwest and Alaska), the stay-at-home dad sure doesn't seem to be home much, at least not at meal time, what with all the credit-card charges from places like Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Chin Chin, Burger King, Quiznos Sub, Pizza Hut, Jerry's Famous Deli, Houston's and Roscoe's House of Chicken 'n Waffles.

Then again, K-Fed is also racking up big bills at Ralphs supermarket, so meals do seem to be getting cooked at Casa Federline, as well.

Meanwhile, the once-aspiring rapper and guest star from small-screen fare such as One Tree Hill and CSI earned $398,734 last year from acting and $124,722 from appearance fees. Only $9,849 of his earnings was music-related.

Brit Goes Fancy, J-Lynn Goes to Penney's

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

The one-woman economy called Britney Spears (see TMZ's stories on K-Fed's spending) is doing its part for not-so-lil'-anymore Jamie Lynn.

While J-L spent her birthday at J.C. Penney back in Mississippi with baby daddy Casey, People reports that Britney was throwing down at Hollywood's Ed Hardy, getting Jamie some sweet swag. Brit got handbags, scarves, and T-shirts for the sis, and some other stuff for her dad and bro.

She did see the kids yesterday, too.

Britney Spears: The 2008 TIME 100 Finalist

Britney Spears has ben nominated for "TIME 100" most influential people in the world.

The following italicized article is from www.time.com:

AGE: 26
OCCUPATION: Former pop star, current tabloid staple
NUMBER OF TIME COVERS: 0
PREVIOUS APPEARANCES ON THE TIME 100: 0

PRO: After becoming more famous for her crazed antics and bad parenting skills than her vocal skills, the singer released Blackout, her first original album in four years, and it...was pretty decent, with the single "Gimme More" jumping to the top of the Billboard charts. A guest appearance on the sitcom How I Met Your Mother also pleasantly surprised critics.

CON: Where to begin? The past year also saw Spears in and out of rehab, in and out the psychiatric hospital, and out of her children's lives as guardian — not only did she lose custody, she had to pay some of ex Kevin Federline's court fees.

Britney Spears's Birthday Shopping for Jamie Lynn

The following italicized article is from www.people.com:

With her mother in tow, Britney Spears stopped by the corporate offices of Hollywood clothing store Ed Hardy on Thursday to buy birthday presents for sister Jamie Lynn, who turns 17 on Friday.

The singer was "in good spirits" according to Nicole Irving, a representative for the store. Spears stopped in the afternoon to visit designer Christian Audigier and browse the new spring collection. "

Christian and she were laughing as she tried on Ed Hardy sunglasses and checked out the bathing suits," says the rep.

For her sister (and mom-to-be), Britney, donning a pink Ed Hardy shirt, picked out a large selection of Christian Audigier handbags, scarves, and Crystal Rock T-shirts. She also snagged items for her father and brother.

Earlier Thursday, Spears, 26, spent the morning visiting sons Preston and Jayden at her Studio City house.

What Happens In Vegas Stays On K-Fed's AMEX

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

K-Daddy got Britney to pay his legal bills, claiming relative poverty. But, as her lawyer calls it, "Bank of Britney" may have been taken for a ride -- specifically, from L.A. to Vegas.

According to legal docs, in a recent eight-month period, Federleezy blew $50,489.71 on hotel rooms and refreshments in Vegas.

In one day alone, K-Fed dropped $2,632.50 at TAO Beach (the pool club at The Venetian). And on one wild evening, he spent $2,862.60 at TAO nightclub. One day at the Hard Rock Beach Club -- $3,008.33

Oh yeah, and there's this.... at Scores strip club, he once spent $365, but left a $2,000 tip.

And for this he dinged Brit? Dang.

Britney's Not a Bally Member

The following italicized article is from www.ok-magazine.com:

As Britney Spears continues to get her life and body back in shape, one place she certainly isn’t depending for help is Bally Total Fitness. In an interview with E! News, the pop star’s father Jamie Spears, co-conservator of her estate, debunked talk of his daughter endorsing the fitness brand.

"Britney's not endorsing Bally," Jamie says. "There's no deal. There's no truth to that."

Bally Chief Marketing Officer John Wildman confirms that "Britney Spears is not going to be our spokesperson. We don't have any comment regarding our relationship with Britney Spears."

However, a source close to Brit reveals that Team Spears had been in contact with Bally in the past few weeks about signing the 26-year-old to the club as part of her comeback campaign. Those conversations have since been put on hold or have ended completely.

Regardless of whether Brit will subscribe to a Bally membership, news of a possible endorsement relationship is a step in the right direction for the singer, a source adds, as it is a sign the songstress is "safe" to work with once again.

Shocker: Kevin Spends More Than He Makes

In another ~shocking~ discovery in the Britney-Kevin custody case, Kevin has been spending a lot more than he's earning... a.k.a. POOR! Britney's lawyer Stacy Phillips "filed documents challenging the legal fees that Brit was ordered to pay for Fed-ex. Phillips claims K-Daddy "understated his income by at least $200,000." She also says Federline buried all sorts of personal expenses and pretended to have $800,000 worth of business expenses," according to TMZ. (NICE TIMING)

It gets better, court documents state what Kevin has been spending all his money on, and well... Mark Vincent Kaplan has his work cut out for him. "According to the legal papers, Federline grossed $544,074.73 from his production company, "Gooseneck Productions" in 2007, and his expenses totaled $841,128.67. Phillips says Federline's so-called business expenses included "extraordinarily high tips for food and beverage services [e.g., $1,100.76 tip on $2,782 bill; $200 tip on $371.29 bill; and $2,000 tip on $365 bill].

I'm glad he's so charitable with Britney's money giving several thousand dollar tips to his fleet of his skank-hos. And enjoy the list below of places Kevin used his BUISNESS credit card account for:

"Ralph's grocery store, Toys 'R Us, Babies 'R Us, Encino Park Liquor, Garrett Popcorn Shop, Blockbuster Video, Ikea, Smart & Final, Onstar Service Plan, Big Fish Games, Target, Boston Market, Big 5 Sporting Goods, Party House Liquor, Waste Management, Quiznos, The Spirit Shoppe, Roundtable Pizza, Honey Baked Ham, Burger King, Foot Locker, The Liquor Works, PF Chang's, Victoria's Secret, Privilege, Ann Taylor, Wendy's, Chili's, NikeTown, In N' Out Burger, and of course, Corbin Liquor."

Buisness as usual!

See What Britney Spears' Body Really Looks Like

The following italicized article is from www.usmagazine.com:

Britney Spears shopped for jeans undeterred on Wednesday, the day OK! magazine featured a photo of the singer from 5 years ago on its cover to illustrate her current weight-loss.

The Huffington Post reports OK!'s cover image of a trim Spears is from a 2003 shoot for Glamour's Women of the Year issue, when the singer was 22-years-old.

"OK!'s cover photo choice paints an unrealistic picture of her comeback, which is a work in progress — and shows that the only way to 'Steal Brit's New Diet Secret,' as the cover screams, is to go back over 4 years in time," the report says.

But Spears' life is back on track, as Us Weekly reports in its latest issue, on newsstands now.

"She looked beautiful," an eyewitness at Paige Premium Denim in L.A. told Usmagazine.com.

K-Fed Shows His Big Tip

Carson's Makeover Plan for Britney

The following italicized article is from www.ok-magazine.com:

In his new show on the Lifetime Channel, How to Look Good Naked, Carson Kressley teaches women how to — well, you know!

Now, the former Queer Eye for the Straight Guy host wants to extend his makeover skills to Britney Spears. "I'd start by getting her some underwear, okay?" he says during the Skating With the Stars, Under the Stars event at NYC's Wollman Rink. "Then I'd give her a big hug and we'd all go shopping for some sensible clothes. I'd like to see her step it up a notch and wear a little Stella McCartney. It almost looks like she's wearing Strawberry. It's crazy, but I do love her."

Kressley adds that he'd also like to make over Brad Pitt. Wait — huh?"Just so I could take off his shirt in the dressing room over and over again," he laughs. Ahh, we get it. And we agree!

If there's one thing the style maven, 38, isn't feeling the love for, it's the leggings trend."I think leggings are a very particular thing. On some people they look amazing and they're like voodoo magic. On other people, it's like, 'Wow, your legs look gi-normous!' It's really personal."

Kressley continues, laughing, "Personally on me, they make my butt look huge unless I do a sensible zebra print. That fools the eye."

Larry Rudolph: Britney Spears Is in 'Great Shape'

The following italicized article is from www.people.com:

Britney Spears's former manager, Larry Rudolph, is coy about reports that the two are back in business together – but says he's met with the pop star recently and is happy to report she's "in great shape."

"I've seen her a few times over the past week or two. I've spent some time with her just socially. I've gone up to the house. I've sat with her. She's in great shape," he said Thursday while promoting his latest project, Rock the Cradle, on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS FM radio show. "I couldn't be happier to see the condition she's in. But this is not a time to talk about business with her."

Addressing Spears's recent troubles, Rudolph said: "What she needs now is she needs the public to be on her side and root for her, because she deserves it and that means a lot to her."

One thing's clear: Rudolph is in Spears's corner. He praised her recent appearance on How I Met Your Mother, and told Seacrest that if he was advising Spears, he'd suggest that she "do another little thing like that" soon.

When Seacrest asked about other forces back in the singer's life – namely her parents – Rudolph replied: "She needs people around her who are there for the right reasons."

In terms of Spears's future, he said "I can't think of a situation where somebody's been set up for a bigger comeback than that girl."

All Fingers in Brit Case Point to TMZ!

The following italicized article is from www.tmz.com:

So we just got our mitts on a bunch of papers in the Britney Spears custody case, and it appears Brit's former lawyers are using TMZ to prove who was leaking info like Brandon Davis at a beer fest.

According to a declaration filed by attorney Hillary Slevin, she seems to be saying what triggered her firm's interest in a gag order was a bunch of stuff we were putting on the website.

ITEM: "On December 12, 2007 ... I was viewing the website known as TMZ.com At that time I saw that TMZ.com had set up a streaming video in front of building where counsel for respondent, Mark Vincent Kaplan has his office."

ITEM: "The video continued to play throughout the morning ... At approximately 10:50 AM the text stated that Petitioner (Brit) would not be appearing for her deposition because she was ill."

And it goes on and on, suggesting that K-Daddy's lawyer may have been the leak. Note to Hillary: How do you think we would get information about why Britney wouldn't be attending the depo? Of course, we're not sayin ...
