Everyone assumed there was some sort of feud between Paris Hilton and Britney Spears because they suddenly stopped talking. That is just not the case because the two seemed really happy to see each other at the VMAs on Sunday.
Paris was exceptionally happy. So happy that she wants to record a duet with Britney for her new album.

Britney and Kevin spent some time together over the weekend when Kevin went to pick up the kids from Britney's house after an overnight visit.
It's actually very surprising because if you guys remember Kevin used to send his bodyguard to always pick up the kids. They didn't seem to be on speaking turns but things have obviously changed between the two.
This is actually a good thing because the children could only benefit if mommy and daddy have a civil relationship.

The MTV VMA's are right around the corner and the biggest buzz is whether Britney Spears will perform or not. Spears' camp already confirmed that she'll be opening the show, but that hasn't stopped stars and fans alike from rooting for a comeback. Hollyscoop caught up with celebs during the 944 two year anniversary bash on Wednesday to get their reactions:
Guillermo Diaz: "I'm excited about it. I wanna find her and hang out and have a drink with her."
Tila Tequila: "I really hope that she does perform. I was there last year when she performed, right in the front row. I think she should have a chance to do another performance. We're all rooting for her."
Karina Smirnoff: "I can’t wait. I think Britney’s back in shape, she gonna do amazing. I think the industry keeps giving her more and more opportunities to come back and I think this is her time."

Britney made a rare public appearance last night when she attended a fundraiser for Jenny McCarthy's charity Generation Rescue in Los Angeles.
She was said to be in great spirits while sipping on some red wine Other guests included Jim Carrey, Charlie Sheen and wife Brooke Mueller. Britney was "looking happy," an eyewitness says. "She looked incredible - like the Britney we used to know. She was clapping and smiling a lot."

There will be no more out of control Britney and Kevin court dates because the custody battle has been settled before it could go to trial. Chances are it would get real messy if it went to trial and both parties are just trying to avoid that.
Both Kevin and Britney signed an agreement that reportedly gives Kevin sole custody and Britney visitation rights.

Kim says the two have been working on creating a newer, softer look for Brit, so she doesn't look so severe with that blonde color.
Kim says, "We're so used to her with that bright blonde, which I didn't like, and I told her I didn't like it. Lynne Spears is back to working on her book. But don't think it's gonna be a parenting book like previously reported. It's actually gonna be a memoir, which is actually more interesting than a lame parenting book.
"When Jamie Lynn got pregnant, it was put on hold," a spokesperson for Thomas Nelson said. "Lynne never stopped working on it because she wants to express her love for her children and tell their stories through a mother's eyes." The memoir is going to be about Lynne raising two very famous daughters. It is slated for release sometime this Fall.
This sounds like it would be a great read. So much happened in the Spears family in one year that there should be enough material for a 1000 page memoir.

A source tells British newspaper Metro, "The producers were bouncing around the idea of casting Britney in the role of Sandy. "They're recasting the roles in July and they thought that Britney looked like a Sandy.
She would be terrific."
A few years back, when Brit was still married to K-Fed, she was asked to do a Broadway show. But after charging up $25,000 in travel expenses to the show, she decided against it. At the time she said she didn't want to move to NYC because of her two boys. Wonder if she feels different about the move this time around? Not only is Britney getting her life back on track, she's back in the studio kicking some ass too. Brit is teaming up with J.R. Rotem and Sean Garrett for her upcoming album and they says things are "really shaping up."
"She's great," Rotem told People magazine. "She's like a master at what she does. She's a lot more experienced than most people. She just has the 'it' factor that not every artist has. So it's always nice to work with her."

It’s Britney Spears’ big day in court today. It’s so big that she’s already there! Britney arrived to court with her mom, dad and super lawyer Blair Berk. For a change, she actually arrived dressed decently and even before Kevin Federline. The driver took her to an underground parking lot so no one takes pictures of her. What a change a few months can do!
Britney is in court for a “progress review” today but its unlikely things will change in her custody battle with Kevin. Even though she’s spent that last few months acting like a normal person chances are that the arrangement will not change because she’s still under a conservatorship.
"As long as Britney remains under a conservatorship, she has a long way to go before the court views her as a capable mother," some L.A. attorney that’s not involved in the case told People Magazine.
But this custody case has been anything but ordinary so we’ll see how it turns out. Britney seems to have a great support system so hopefully she’ll be able to see her kids more than the current situation. She is their mother after all!
